^use that for imei repair, you have to have the sim card in slot 2 and not put anything for IMEI 1. My cell signal sucks now for some reason I still havent figured out. but calls work now and dont cut off after 30 seconds at lest.
Oh and yes you need to be in the engineering rom to use that modemmeta tool.
I struggled for a while because I thought that merlin was the same as lancelot so I was using the wrong roms. I forgot if I had to flash back to the original rom.

After going back to the stock lancelot rom, i just updated the rom as normal to 12.05 then installed magisk as usual, later on installed that recovery and it works fine. It even has options in it so the bootloader doesnt get overwritten by miui

How to Backup and Restore IMEI/NVRAM data on Mediatek Chipset Android Device
Alright, so you have an Android Device which has a Mediatek Chip inside. It looks like that you are not someone who uses their Android Device for basic
www.getdroidtips.com
The spflashtool option in the video was the simplest for my situation though.
I never went back to restore the imei from nvram. I just went back to the stock lancelot rom and the info was saved. When I went to the rom the imei was there in the about section phone status.
If I used miflash i chose the clean all option. Remember not to lock it.
And if I used sp flash tool i used firmware update or download mode. NOT Format ALL. I think that is why my imei may have been deleted at first.
If you manage to put that recovery there is an option there to restore from NVRAM

Yes you should be able to use miflash in fastboot if your bootloader is already unlocked. I don't know what version of miui is best. I just went back to the stock rom and then updated. I am going to play around with custom roms now. I don't like all the xiaomi stuff. You can uninstall a lot of it with xiaomiadbfastboottools

You might have to turn it off while it is connected to that program. Or maybe fastboot. I forgot exactly but I recall something about turning it off. Remember it has to be on the engineering rom for your device or else it will not work.

Downgrading MIUI version
I need someone to check my understanding of the Fastboot process and some of the utilities. Is MiFlash a complete overwrite of the device firmware? Is a backup taken through QPST software download the NVRAM settings ONLY? Can I downgrade from 9 to 8.5 using only MiFlash? There appears to be an issue with 3G data connections dropping in MIUI 9, which is reported on a few other models as well. This is my wife's phone and she is not capable of dealing with most technical issues, so I want to stick with MIUI instead of LineageOS or something.
Yes you can downgrade from MIUI 9. Flash 8.5.9 fastboot using Miflash it is much better than other ways...
Missing WiFi MAC and IMEI - Mi 9
First off - Mods, I have the original box and sticker IMEIs if needed as proof. I have been flashing between AOSP and Stock trying to fix a Microphone bug on my phone (see previous posts), when all of a sudden my phone will no longer connect to Network (IMEI unavailable error) I went through every QCN backup + editing I could think of, even using my friends Mi 9 that we both bought from the same place in China as a QCN backup + my IMEI edits. Everytime I edit the QCN and load it, the phone just boot loops immediately shutting down upon OS load. Using MiFlash back to stock didn't work, and I had to flash Evo X rom to get it to boot normally now, but I"m also missing WiFI MAC onto of my IMEIs. I seriously have no idea what to do. I've tried every IMEI editing tool or Hex Editor in the book to put my original IMEIs back in to no avail. What am I doing wrong that cases it to restart loop when I push my updated QCN file? Thanks in advance - Can provide whatever else you need.

Click to collapse As i understand you have China version of Mi 9, saying: "MiFlash back to stock didn't work" you meаn you have flashed official xiaomi china FASTBOOT ROM and it did't work? Then i afraid the problem is deeper then in the ROM. Because by flashing stock fastboot ROM you flash everything that possible to flash, ROM and all images, with all setting like it was from the store.

Reflashing China ROM in Fastboot does not fix the problem. It fixes the bootlooping but not the IMEI issue.
Redmi 8 lost imei when miflash rom Global???
my redmi 8 running global rom then i have UNLOCK installed TWRP to load EU rom .. Today i mmlash on global rom everything is fine .. But my Redmi 8 has lost my IMEI, i can't use SIM application ... Someone help me fix it .. I need help ... Thanks
If you have not backed up the IMEI partition, I think it's the EFS, there's not really much you can do other than send your phone back to Xiaomi and hope they'll restore it for you. Always do a full backup of all partitions right after flashing TWRP.

I flashed Miui 13.0.02 Global Fastboot rom but calls are completely broken no audio/sound in phone calls nor in loud speaker or earpiece even in earphones there is no sound even whatsapp calls are not audible completely broken. any solution to this?

Click to expand... Click to collapse If you mean you can't talk on 13.0.2.0, and you got the camellia (Redmi note 10 5g china/india) it's a glitch on Global MIUI 13 and camellia version. Probably an issue w/ google's permissions update, it's glitching with unintended models running Miui 13 + Google Services. You have to wait until (if) Xiaomi updates the Camellia model to miui 13. Oddly enough, GSIs seem to be exempt of this issue.
Any update on this issue ? Thanks
I have the same issue. smartphone that can't make calls from it. flashed the global version via fastboot...no luck flashed the Indonisian version via fastboot ....no luck the last thing I will flash the chinese version.

Question IMEI issue
Hello, I have rooted my device and installed the original android 12 from this forum and now i am getting IMEI 0 issue, i tried a bunch of stuff on the internet how to fix it, but i just can't restore it. Can anyone help me how can i change the IMEI ? Thank you.
I'm not sure anyone is going to help you with that, as it is usually associated with criminal activity. I'm not suggesting that's your intent, but I wouldn't expect any assistance beyond 'google'.

Can anyone help me how can i change the IMEI ? Thank you. Click to expand... Click to collapse You bought a used device, correct? Android 12 wasn't the original OS for the S21 Ultra, it was Android 11. Was the IMEI 0 issue there before you rooted the device? Since you've rooted it's highly unlikely you can revert to Android 11 plus XDA isn't the appropriate forum for manipulating your IMEI.
You have 3 options: 1. Head to the nearest samsung service center and tell them you want to fix the internet issue and don't mention root (act dumb) if they said its out warranty say y'll fix it on your bill but as long it's software fix. 2. Replace the motherboard at any professional repairer with a used one that has a valid IMEI and baseband. 3. If neither method works... Get rid of the phone and buy a new one, cause it's just a "6.8 inch calculator" and it'll take a lot of your time and effort unresolved. edit: 4. Maybe there is a way to write the IMEI & Baseband back on the protected partitions using root permissions or ADB, try termux with the root but i dont know for sure.
Thank you for your answers. I will do as you said. Because i updated to the latest version, i can't re-roll Android 11 and this issue is not fixable at the moment on android 12.
