Up top there's not a new notifications panel in settings main menu? Should and should tell you what that number is about. Sometimes settings notifications false.

What's got me confused is the toggles for "Hide Information". What information? Mine is un-toggled and all I see is the icons, no info whatever.

It hides your notification information. Like texts. You will get a notification that you received a text but you will need to unlock the phone to read it.

My brightness slider is gone all together. That's why I was wondering if they have something in the settings. I have looked and looked

Yeah it's that "show control on top" option shown above. That's how I did it.

Yeah but how do I get to that when my brightness slider is gone?
I used a theme for the status bar icons to make them blue and that is what's doing it.

You can hide it from the status bar, but the notification card will still be there.

App needed you can't totally hide it smart guy..
On P10 with Oreo you can hide it..
Go to settings, apps..
Activate system settings and go to Android System.
There you select Notifications and activate or deactivate what you want.

On Mate 10 / 10 Pro this method doesn't work. Only with - Hide "running in the background" Notification - you can do it.

Hi. How do you get rid of the notification when you clear out recents. It says "Your device is now in optimal condition" Very annoying! It will be closer to optimal condition once I get rid of that notification!

Didn't work. Maybe I did not disable the right option. If you got it to stop the notification about optimal condition please let me know exactly what you did. Thanks.

Didn't stop this notification.
Honestly, I don't know why this notification is so annoying.
Anyway don't focus on optimal condition... It's something to do 1 time a week max
Hey guys,
Just wanted to know smth about the S10...do you know if they fixed the **** where you swipe away the notifications from the status bar and all the app notification badges clear?
Thank you!
What do you mean exactly?
It sounds like you want the notification badges to stay after clearing the notification?
Since when did swiping away a notification made the notification being read? It was never like that.

You never had a Samsung phone, ooor, I did not make myself clear . After Oreo update, when you dismiss the notifications in the status bar, ALL the app badges cleared as well...so you had to go open each app to find out if you missed anything.

Ah, I can't speak for Android pie, I'm still on Oreo with my S8+.
But rather than clearing your notifications have you tried just snoozing them? It will clear them temporarily and they'll come back after some time.

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to have sound & vibration turned on for an app notification but it does not show on my notification bar. Is there a way to do that even if with a 3rd party app? I'm using a galaxy s10 rooted.
Thanks
