Here is my review for the Otao Tempered glass Double Strong screen protector. This will be a Honest review(it lasted 3 days).
I give it a 3 out of 5.
I received the Screen protector in a nice padded envelope that had a nice cushion to it and once i opened the envelope I saw a nice little box surrounding a foam insert. It really is well packaged and the directions for installation were fairly straight forward. Open box, Clean phone, apply alignment tool, apply screen protector. Only nitpick about the directions is it never says anything about the plastic protective film on the back side that keeps it from sticking(straightforward common sense but still should have been at least mentioned).
Onto the actual installation:
I had issues with it lining up properly. It kept lining up slightly diagonal so the top left and bottom right corners would not stick properly(more on this later). I attempted to align it twice and both attempts were diagonal so either my phone was made diagonally or the alignment tool was slightly... not aligned? Other than that the installation went fairly smooth.
Features:
This like many other screen protectors claim case friendly. I decided I was going to put that to the test. My case of choice? Spigen Tough Armor. You know what? It ACTUALLY was casefriendly. It would be a perfect fit other than my alignment issues but it was not lifting any where other than those 2 diagonal corners( this is where the 3 days come into play). The amazon page claims scratch resistant and "Super anti-Fingerprint". I tested out general day today scratch possibilities such as keys in pocket with the phone and sliding the phone around on the screen(don't judge.) and i can say it IS pretty good with day to day items. At the end on my 3 days there was not a single scratch on my screen protector. I was amazed. As for "Super Anti-Fingerprint", Sadly that is not so good. Within the first 5 minutes it was COVERED in fingerprints. When the screen was off it was unbearable to the point I had actually flipped the phone over(remember when I said sliding on the screen?). Another thing I noticed that doesnt say anywhere on the product page is that it is a "Dot Matrix" type screen protector.
Gripes:
Other than my few cons listed above with the alignment issues and fingerprints. The screen protector is fairly well made. However... due to said alignment issues The screen protector was not sealed properly and will no longer stick to the phone. Thus leading me to my next test, Durability. I, like a lot of you, am certainly not going to do a drop test on my phone to see if the screen protector does its job. Instead I did an off the wall method. After the screen protector no longer stuck to my phone I placed it on something raised(notepad if you must know) and dropped various objects onto it from 6ft away. It survived. So I did a bend test. It takes ALOT of effort to break one of these, but once it did break I noticed a problem. Its only a 2 layer protector. The phone itself will be protected from glass shards incase the protector breaks since the inside is a seperate layer HOWEVER the glass is right on top. It is VERY easy to cut yourself once it breaks. I think they could have added another thin layer to protect the user from glass. That layer would also help with the finger print issues aswell.
Final thoughts:
All in all its a pretty good screen protector. It does its job well, Protecting the screen. Some of the other claims it makes though... not so much.
My score? 3/5.
Sometimes the actual screen protectors are not cut straight,.not just the alignment tool.
Ive never had much success removing and replacing a screen protector due to possibility of dust and contamination etc. Your review is great, since it's informed me that one cannot install this screen protector on first attempt due to either the tool or cut of the screen protector. Which in turn for me is a major fail.

Just for info, there's two in the box. it covers ONLY the screen that has the LCD. DOesn't cover whole face.
Never had issues sticking on these static type protectors but this one gave me hell. ruined both. the protector is slightly tacky. And will attact dust(like any like this) so make sure you're in a clean room. But both of my protectors wouldn't stick on the edges of the protector. and every time I tried to peel it up and putting it back down, it still didn't hold. Then dust got under it. augh. Ruined both. I wonder if they would take them back since both wouldn't stick on teh edges? Aww... they will probably say I'm returning it because I got dust under it.
i know how you feel! i bought them when i got my hd2 and i got the top two-thirds of the protector on perfect but then the bottom third somehow got dust underneath, it really not that bad when the screen is on but its still annoying. cant wait to get my invisibleshield on it tho!

I used invisishield on my ipod. Great stuff, but hard to get on perfect. 3 parts for a curved back and front only covers the LCD part? The front part sounds so unlike them. They normally have it going round buttons and everything.
But it's like putting tint on. You need to have a liquid to make slide just right.
i used invisible shield on my iphone, and it was fully protected. It did add grip to the device which i liked. Anyways, the maximum protection shield covered more than the normal full-body shield. It'll cover not only the LCD screen but all spaces around the hardware buttons and well as the speaker.

I also got these same screen protectors and was dissapointed when it did not cover the entire screen.
Trick to putting on screen protectors.
1.) Make sure the screen is completely clean of all smudges etc.
2.) Use a can of air duster to remove any small dust particles that might be stuck on the phone. If you don't have that then just take a piece of tape and remove any dust particles or dirt from the screen. This is the most important part!
3.) Line up the screen protector on the screen where you want to place it.
4.) Peel back the backing of the screen protector as you lay the screen on the device. Start from the top of the device and work your way down. If need be take out a credit card or another hard piece of plastic of some sort to push out any air bubbles that may occur as you lay down the screen protector.'
5.) Enjoy a job well done.

My TMOUS HDC HD2 is definitely glass.
I didn't bother to use a screen protector (didn't even know there was one supplied)...it isn't necessary on a glass screen.
Its very hard to scratch glass...you would need a very sharp object, made out of a very hard material (harder than glass), applied with a lot of pressure. I've had my iPhone for 3 years, and the glass is flawless on it. The aluminum housing is scratched, dented, and dinged up, and the LCD panel has a little bit of bruising on the top left corner BEHIND the glass...but the glass itself is immaculate.
Apple actually pulled the screen protectors off the shelves from the Apple store because they felt they were unnecessary..and frankly anyone who pays for one on the HD2 or iPhone wasted their money.
You'll actually see more imperfections on the screen by applying a screen protector...they have a tendency to attract dust, bubble up, and flat out get dirty. The only maintenance you need to do on a glass screen is polish out smudges and finger prints.
The biggest peril to glass touch screens is cracks from falls....and if your HD2 suffers a big enough impact, a screen protector or 'invisible shield' won't do squat to keep it from cracking
glass or plastic..either way.. i was soooooooooooo confident i wouldnt scratch mine, until about a minute ago when i was in the process of wiping the glass(plastic) screen before putting on a screen protector, i noticed a little scratch...great. Should've put on a protector sooner...
From now on, I willl be putting on a screen protector unless the screen are made out of crystal sapphire or something..

We actually do not get an included screen protector. Only the black gel case, which imo is quite crappy... loose and flimsy

I also would like to note that my TMOUS HD2 did not include any screen protectors in the box.
Sorry imo I have to disagree with you about the included gel being loose mine fits quite snugly and until my zagg comes in I prefer to keep it in the gel...not as slick & keeps the screen(when face down) off the flat surface.
A tipp for all you guys getting dust under the screen:
I always apply a new screen protector in my bathroom after showering - the steam in the air (the more steam, the better) binds most of the dust particles and makes it A LOT easier to get a perfect result!

I agree, I used to do this back in the day before Zagg came around. It works great.
I have read with other products people use a drop or water/soap water before applying a screen protector. Has anyone used this method on this device? i am concerned that the water will somehow ruin the device. I know it's only a drop or 2 but wanted to get some feedback first before i tried it.
So I picked up a screen protector on Amazon by ArmorSuit... it seemed to have solid reviews and I heard reports of great customer service, so I spent the 20 bones to pick one up. I just now applied it, and it went on well without a hitch. Since it was a wet protector and majority of my screen protector experience was with dry ones, I watched the YouTube video and also thoroughly read the instructions. Last thing I wanted to do was install a wet protector incorrectly and mess up my device.
Once done I checked out the finish. Despite the fact it's been 20 minutes and not 12-24 hours like they say to let it sit, I noticed lots of tiny scratches on it, which definitely looked like it was from the applicator card. What baffles me more is I have a microfiber cloth that came with the kit that I was wiping the screen off with... I noticed even swirly scratches after I was done, yet this microfiber cloth has nothing in it whatsoever!
Er, uh. Has anybody ran into anything like this with screen protector application?
Despite this, I'm still relatively happy with the screen protector as it fits perfectly and was very quick and easy to install. That being said, I'm still a little disappointed in what I'm seeing here, but I'd still trade hairline scratches that aren't that visibleat all (and not visible whatsoever with the screen lit up) versus air bubbles and dust pockets which clearly are visible regardless... which is almost always the case with dry protectors... Don't get me wrong, it's not like it's a series of key-gouging lines here, but when video installation guide shows the tilted tablet glaring off of the ceiling light to show it is 100% smooth and flush with a perfect glass-like surface, that's where I can see these very fine marks.
Maybe, just maybe, this is some sort of epic self-healing screen protector that'll remove those blemishes over the next day as it sits. :laugh: Yes, just maybe.

My ArmorSuit came with a nice horizontal scratch in it and these visible shallow 'gouges'. I'm guessing from the installation card. I'm getting rid of it as it just doesn't look clean. Looks like a thin slab of rubber and not perfectly flat like the glass. YMMV though as I know I didn't install it Grade A, but still, I can't imagine that this screen protector can look or feel like glass.
Part of me like the feel of these wet protectors, but it does feel unnatural and sort of tiring to use. I opted for the 3-pack of CrazyOnDigital (clear) protectors. I figure I will mess up 1, get 1 right, and keep 1 for next year.

I have seen what is called 'burn' marks if not properly wet. Sucks I know! But The wet products in my experience are always great when finally dry. I have the XO skin and it's about totally dry. Looks great IMO.

I'm not sure how much more wet you can get a screen protector when it's already dripping, which was the status of it when I placed it on the screen. Likewise, I did wash my hands just prior and also had my hands both completely saturated in the provided fluid.
Burn marks sounds like some food for thought, but I'm unsure how you can get a burn mark from a microfiber cloth when I'm wiping the screen off in a circular motion. I mean, I didn't attach it to a circular sander or anything...
So in the event this magical self healing thing doesn't live up, what other screen protector would you guys recommend? I definitely want to go with a wet application, as I'm already able to tell a world of difference, but I'm a little dissatisfied with how incredibly sensitive this protector is to scratches. It's great you can take a dremel to it and it still protects the actual tablet screen but when a microfiber cloth scratches it I can't say it impresses me.

Regarding the marks on your screen protector:
Any filmy marks, air bubbles, swirl marks or haze underneath the screen protector is due to the solution, which can take up to 2 weeks to go away. It typically doesn't take this long, but it will eventually go away because the material is designed to be breathable. This will release any trapped solution.
Regarding the scratches on your screen, here is a quick and easy fix.
1. Please turn off your device.
2. With your screen protector still on your device, spray 1 pump on the screen protector and then spread the solution evenly with the included microfiber cloth.
3. The scratches should then disappear soon, within a few days at the very most because the material is self-healing.

Not sure why they don't just put this in the instructions, but here's a trick:
When you're pushing the bubbles out, put the piece of plastic that you peeled the protector off of over the screen. Don't ever use the squeegee directly on the screen.

I thought the same thing, but once I realized that the microfiber cloth was giving swirl marks, that whole premise behind that idea kind of crumbled. If a microfiber cloth will legitimently give this screen protector swirl scratches from wiping it clean, then that's pretty fail.
That being said, I'm remaining quite optimistic about this "self healing" thing. Maybe I will see them slowly disappear? Who knows. It is a little more comforting knowing they have a lifetime guarantee, but we'll tackle that conversation when/if it ever becomes necessary. At any rate, I keep reminding myself - at least the screen protector still looks 1000% better than any dry screen protector AND it's protecting the screen in the process. :good:

I ordered the exact same 3-pack and I have to say they're great. Got it perfect on the first try and it looks crystal clear. It looks a lot better than those $10-$20 dollar protectors out there.

Last year I got the JLG Nano is was pretty impressed with it. I had it for my Note 3. This year I have the M8 and JLG released a tempered glass version and I am just as happy with it as I was with the Nano. The Nano-t is made of glass material, feels great and is practically indestructible.
What I like about the M8 is that the screen is flat edged, rectangle. No camera or speaker holes to line up with. So the installation was really easy for this. JLG includes a alcohol prep pad which has proven to me to be the best way to clean a screen for screen protector installations.
Another cool thing I learned about this Nano-t is that normally screen protectors come with two tabs/films on both sides to remove. But this Nano-t only comes with one film to peel off from the sticky side to put on the screen itself. The other side, which is what you will touch does not need to have a film to protect it because it is scratch proof and anti smudge.
A deal breaker to me for screen protector is if it works with cases. I put a SEIDIO Surface case on it, which is a slide/glide hard case and the Nano-t worked just fine. No issues at all. So I was relieved to learn that fact.
For kicks and giggles I even put it through a key and knife scratch test along with a sharpie test. All passed with flying colors.
There really isn't anything negative other than that at times the screen is too smooth and my finger tip will slide on the screen. Other than that its a really nice tempered glass screen protector.
TIP: They are having everything 20% through July 4th weekend.

I can't seem to find a good screen protector. I know it's a common problem. I've tried the regular TGSP on my S8+, but didn't like the glare door the dust seeping through the adhesive. Tried several with LOCA, but it was such a hassle and they usually wound up cracked within a week of installation. I tried the wet application screen protector, which for some reason looked perfect on my wife's S8+, but always looked like crap on mine. Finally, I was super happy with Dendrobates updated version. It stuck down, felt smooth, and looked great.
Fast forward to the Note 8. I bought it used, though it was only a month old and he kept a TGSP on it since day one. The TGSP he had on it had allowed dust to accumulate between the screen and the protector and the touch sensitivity was horrible. I ordered the Dendrobates, since it was perfect on the S8+, and it didn't feel like the S-Pen would leave marks on it.
When it arrived, I took off the TGSP, and a speck of dust between the screen and the TGSP had actually etched a spot in the screen. (GG5 is SO SOFT!). It's no bigger than a speck of dust and can only be seen at an angle in bright light, but so frustrating!
I installed the Dendrobates, and it looks and feels perfect, and even makes the etched spot disappear, but it won't stick down on the left side, which is visually distracting and will allow dust under the screen protector. Which makes me worry about scratches. I reached out to them through email and @thescreenmax here, and their response was to refund me, which is fine, but sucks, because they're basically admitting their screen protector doesn't work.
99% of the screen protectors on Amazon are TGSP. No thanks. Dendrobates obviously won't work. And I'm worried about the wet application screen protector being too soft a d leaving marks from the S-Pen. I'm unwilling to go naked (though tempted), because I don't want anymore scratches on the soft glass. But I'm not sure what other options I have.
I love this phone, but finding a screen protector is ridiculously frustrating and annoying.

bought these from ebay & it fits perfectly into my Caseology Case. its not glass screen protector but still better than nothing at all.
I used to have one but got rid of it. With every screen protector no matter what brand eventually dust accumulates around the edges of it and also since the edge has additional touch functionality it's not worth the hassle for the reduced area available. I have the practice of keeping my phone in my right front pocket and never put anything else in that pocket. Result: best looking phone with zero scratches anywhere of any kind. I keep a case on it that is very minimal from Spigen, mainly to eliminate the issue of the back of the phone turning into a greasy looking fingerprint magnet that has to be cleaned several times a day...
Hey guys. I just got my Find X3 Pro and am absolutely loving it so far, but I'm not loving the screen protector that came on it. Has anyone ventured to try any of the tempered glass or TPU ones on Amazon yet?
May i ask if you removed that build in plastic - cheap looking - screen protector? in case you did remove it did you notice if the screen looks better ? f.e. brigher etc? cause i have not yet removed it but i think it dims the screen a bit...

I removed it because i really felt the rims when using the gestures from the sides and bottom.
Didn't notice more brightness.
I haven't removed the screen protector yet, the screen must be really hard I damaged the screen protector the first day.
I put my phone in my pocket whilst removing an ATM (legally) and it's just wrinkled the edge , with no damage to the screen at all!
The only screen protectors I've been tempted to get are on eBay and they are tempered glass privacy ones from China to the UK.
I'll update what they are like.

I never managed to have a perfect screen protector. You ALWAYS feel the sides of the screen protector when you slide your finger over it (for example to slide from the curved side or from the top to open the notifications). Apparently I'm overly sensitive for that

Put a hydrogel and dont put your case on for 2-3 days. After that you should be able to easily put the case on without any risk of hydrogel uplifting.
Is the hydro gel bad for the original screen guys? Looked at it several times but don't dare to apply

Why are u afraid of? Its like a screen protector but more flexible/gummy. Water is used to apply it on the screen.
don't use screen protectors at all they make you screen get worse but IF YOU NEED ONE hydro gel are weak af and don't do jack **** to protect you phone but make the screen look less worse than temped tempered are the opposite more strong but less visability
The case is the display's primary protection*.
It should be slightly raised on the edge above the display and more so on the top/bottom.
I prefer using a wet apply urethane screen protector as the are easy to place, long lasting and inexpensive.
In 2 years of using the Zizo Bolt case and Gorilla IQ Sheild on my Note 10+ there's been zero damage to the phone in spite of a lot of drop onto concrete. Try as you may, eventually they take the plunge... a good case will save them almost everytime at heights of 2-5 feet onto concrete.
*the screen protector's primary role is protection from sand scratches and then marring protection when dropped. A tempered screen may seem strong but it can directly transfer the force of an impact to the display and break it.
Glass is a witchy substance that sometimes seems to defy the laws of physics. Ask any glazier.
Some of the laws of hydraulics apply to glass. Stress on one point may be transposed to another portion of the panel. If a spot is already under stress or has been stressed, it can fracture with only a small insult.

I usually wait a few hours if it's hot, no issues.
Simply reseating it if it breaks away works well as long as no dust reaches it first. A bit of the attachment solution can be also used.
This type of protectors last me 6+ months and remain almost clear even at 6 months.
The display must be completely lint/dust free though. Wet your clean fingers before touching protector during placement.
What you didn't see... you will see latter

Simply reseating it if it breaks away works well as long as no dust reaches it first. A bit of the attachment solution can be also used.
This type of protectors last me 6+ months and remain almost clear even at 6 months.
The display must be completely lint/dust free though. Wet your clean fingers before touching protector during placement.

The easiest way to avoid dust ("ivisible" one as well) on screen is to go to the bathrom and turn on warm water under the shower/in the bathtub and leave it for 15 min with closed door and window (if you have it). Then go to the bathroom with your phone and apply the screen protector. I can guarantee there will be no dust under.
Well if you need a clear screen protector then you can try gadgetshieldz screen protector. I'm using it on my Find X3 Pro for 3 months now and there are no bubble issues and this goes well with a curved screen.
