I've got a question. A friend of mine got a brand new (unlocked-no carrier) 626s a while ago. He is stuck in Lollipop and wants to upgrade to Marshmallow. The device was acquired in Colombia (South America). Oficially there is no Latam ROM so the only options are the carrier made ROM's for the US (Metro PCS, Sprint and T-Mobile). Is it possible to flash any of these ROM's without having issues such as lost of 4G connectivity, bad battery life and stuff? Thanks in advance.

Alright so I am the proud new owner of a GT-P1000R on Rogers (Canada). I know in the States a different Tab was released for each carrier but what does this translate to for my version? Is it the Sprint, Verizon, etc equivalent? It is a GSM Tab so that narrows it down but I can't find which carrier the GT-P1000R corresponds to. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys
GSM - most GSM variants are gt-P1000, the "R" is for Rogers.... Its carrier branded. You need to check if the bootloaders are locked before playing with new roms, find the bootloader patch apk here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888071
It is most like euro tab, AT&T or T-mobile. Don't flash CDMA or P1010(wireless only) roms or you will brick your new toy...

My phone is a Rogers' phone version updated with lolipop 243. I am not with Rogers but with Videotron, everything work fine. What I like to know is what is the difference between this and the Customized US version. Is it a more generic firmware. I'd like to get rid of Company proprietary firmware. what is your suggestion for a 6906 ?

I have recently bought Unlocked Sprint M8 from ebay.in they imported it from us and it is on android 5.0.2
Now my question is, if i can flash marsh mallow RUU for international/unlocked phones? (which i downloaded from htc web site)
i just want to change from the current firmware because my phone is heating up while using the camera app or browsing the web. thanks in advance.
they have different hardware, you should not try to flash international ruu/firmware on sprint model.

I recently picked up a P10 from Bell in Canada and unlocked it. A couple of days I got an update and the build number is VTR-09C557B312. Is this the latest update for anyone who has this phone, or is it carrier specific to Bell here in Canada? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've just been informed our organization is switching to T-Mobile. We don't get new phones (darn!!). We do get our old Sprint phones unlocked. My phone is a Note 5 (N920P). I understand it to be capable of using T-Mobile once it is unlocked.
BUT.... I could use some pointers to the newest Samsung-based rom - I hope an S7/S8/N7/N8 (aka Note 7 or 8 or even later) touchwiz-based rom - that is stable and would run fine on my (unlocked) N920P with T-Mobile as carrier.
ANY help welcome. I've flashed a lot of roms, but would appreciate a little help and saving myself from having to try every rom I find here.

I've been using my N920P unlocked Variant for about 1.5 years now.
But i have it on 6.0.1 still and i do not plan to upgrade it to N. Because after upgrading to N i cannot go back to 6.0.1 anymore.
How's the battery life on android N?
