Yes, it will work,
100% fine on user installed apps and common system apps (Facebook, whatsapp, twitter, youtube, gmail, phone, messages, contacts, calendar, many common apps.)
But it may not work (properly) on un-common (part of SystemUI) apps.
This are notifications, settings, etc,
(Haven't tried on g5s+, but on g4+ i have experience notifications misses many elements.)
In addition, you will not be able to change fonts and bootanimation in legacy (root) mode.

That is unconvinient for me. I want to make all system UI black ;/. There's no rom which support this fully?
Unless there's another way to make system UI black'ish and some apps/widgets too?

Yes, OMS roms, all custom ROM (except AOSP and LineageOS) now comes with support for OMS (Overlay Manager Service) which also does not require root for substratum, and supports fonts and boot animation..
I am using AOSP-Extended and Swift Black Theme, it's completely black including notification and system components...

Cyanogen's official C-Apps zip package brings CyanogenOS apps on cyanogenmod ROMs

This is interesting! Cyanogen released their own install zip, called c-apps, that you can use to drop the proprietary CyanogenOS apps like the themers and the new (hated) dialer on a cyanogenmod ROM. I tested on my sultanxda/caf 12.1 and everything works.
http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/introducing-the-cyanogen-apps-package
Many CM community users may be familiar with Cyanogen OS, the certified commercial version that comes preloaded on retail smartphones such as the OnePlus One, WileyFox, ZUK Z1, Andromax Q, and YU branded devices.
Cyanogen OS includes a variety of apps and services that leverage CyanogenMod’s open platform. As CM users, these apps were previously unavailable to you unless you bought a Cyanogen OS powered retail phone. Starting today, we’re announcing the release of the Cyanogen Apps Package (C-Apps).
C-Apps is being offered as an optional download and will not be preinstalled on CyanogenMod releases. This package will allow you to take your existing devices running CM 12.1, and make them more like the Cyanogen OS experience. The latest version of CM 12.1 is required for C-Apps to run properly.
Download and wiki instructions are located at the bottom of this post. The following features are included in the initial C-Apps Package:
Theme Chooser with per-app theming
Theme Store
AudioFX
Cyanogen Accounts
Gallery
Dialer with TrueCaller integration
Email powered by Boxer

Guess it misses that weird browser fork though, so far.
[20.11.2015 edit] And it looks like they removed Boxer from the package at some point, because it's gone now.

copy both folders themechoser and themestore folders from zip and place them in /system/priv-app folder and change permission to rw-r-r
One main app is not included. CameraNext why ?
.zip works great on temasek 18.3 CAF only thing I changed was putting the original dialer back in place after flashing.
Has anyone tried this on CM 13?

Thanks! I'll go ahead a grab the Theme Store apk alone.
after installing this zip package I can't answer the phone and make call! why? what can I do to solve this problem?
Check phone settings and app settings ( Truecaller ) on that package , if you installed full zip it includes Truecaller / dialer on it , did it replace your original phone / dialer apps or does it give you option to pick your default phone / dialer apps? I would reboot and check settingsr and in privacy guard on new app Truecaller and go from there, again not familar with True caller but since its replacing original app , reboot , check all settings applicable ,default and privacy guard as well, may have to alter permissions on new app . Good Luck !!

Already had a thread on this in Q&A, my friend
is the email client the full client like in the CM rom
if yes, how can i install only the email client ?
Does it work with cm13?
Looks like the package doesn't carry Boxer the e-mail client anymore.

Does anyone have an older version with Boxer included? I had a zip with just boxer from another thread in XDA but I can't remember where!
i got bootloop after flashing the package
just want the theme apps
anyone got the same problem with me??
NB:
1. I've flashing the universal them but it has no theme store
2. Already install (also manual push) theme store but wont open (did i miss something??)

Any way to keep the Motorola features?

[Warning: I'm relatively new to Android. I've used it for about a year, and I have a decent understanding on how it works. I've rooted and used Safestrap before and know the basics on almost everything, but not much more.]
I'm planning on purchasing a license for Sunshine, and unlocking my bootloader for my new Turbo. I was planning on using it to install a custom rom, like CyanogenMod, since that's the only rom I've used before, and possibly trying some new ones. However, I realized that I would lose all the Motorola features, like Moto Voice, Moto Actions, Moto Display, and so on. I love these features and use them all the time, so I don't want to give them up. Is there some kind of way to keep them with a different rom?
I was thinking that maybe there was a custom rom that has these features, or maybe there's some way to install them onto a regular custom rom.
Any ideas?

If you're planning on going to anything based on cyanogenmod, no. Someone would need to port these apps to the new rom, and no one has done that yet. However, some of the features can be replicated using other apps. For example, Moto Display is almost identical to the native android feature Ambient Display. You can use Ok Google voice commands for most Moto Voice applications.
An alternative would be to download a modified stock firmware (such as the one maintained by Computerfreek), or modify one yourself. This way, you can keep the Moto apps. Modifying your own firmware is very easy using TWRP (which you will install after unlocking your bootloader). Usually it's as simple as finding a flashable .zip file that contains the feature(s) you want to add and flashing it via TWRP.

You don't need to. Just download the ones that you want. For example:
1. Upgrade to the latest official firmware (SU4TL-44) and unlock your bootloader with Sunshine.
2. Want root access? Use TWRP to flash SuperSU. Download that flashable zip here: https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
3. Want to use the Xposed framework to easily modify your device in a ton of different ways? Use TWRP to flash it. Get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 (you need SDK22 arm)
4. Want to add audio optimizations? Flash PON-3. Get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530976. Flash it, same as the others.
The installation for all of these is the same. Once your bootloader is unlocked and TWRP is installed, boot into TWRP, select "install", select the .zip file that you want to install, and flash it. Done.

I've used Xposed before on my old Safestrap device. I thought about using Xposed on the stock rom, but I was hoping there was another option, since custom roms offer much more than Xposed modules do. Thanks for the links, I think I'll go with what you said. One question though, so there's no way to flash or install the Moto suite onto a custom rom (with or without TWRP)?
And one more thing, is it possible to use the IR sensors in the Turbo to wake up the Ambient display? (Like when you wave your hand over it and it shows the Moto Display.)

There is no way that I know of to get Moto et al working on a different rom. Like I said, the apps would have to be ported. I'm not very knowledgeable about what that entails, but I do know that the Moto apps need more than just their respective apks to function properly. They require extra libraries, drivers, etc. to work, most of which are probably kernel-related (you can't use the stock kernel on a non-Motorola rom). So someone porting those apps would have to either integrate these supplementary files into CM or AOSP or whatever, or rewrite the apps so that they rely on existing google code.

Xposed, particularly gravitybox. I'm not really sure what you meant when you said that custom roms offer so much more than xposed does. I used custom roms for a long time on my Galaxy S4, and except for AOSP vs TouchWiz or installing a more recent version of android, I can't think of a single thing that a custom rom can do that an xposed module can't.

For me, custom roms don't exactly offer much more than modules do, but the experience of using a custom rom is much greater. Since everything is made by the same developers, it flows well with each other. Instead of having to rely on multiple modules that have to be updated, you can just install what is essentially a new OS, and get an entirely new flavour of Android.

But there are many functions and apps that do exactly the same thing.
Ambient Display = Moto Display
OK Google = Moto Voice
plus tons of apps to read notifications, texts, emails.
Etc.
I dumped my Motorola stuff months ago and have everything I need.
It's not that big a deal.
Open source is almost always better than proprietary stuff anyway.

Agreed. If you're willing to learn and set up some things, I bet you could get 100% moto functionality without a single moto app. Does anyone know of an app that will give me the chop-chop flashlight? Because when I eventually make the move to CM (assuming we ever get CM13), that will be the feature I miss most. And I'm being completely serious about that.

I find Moto Display to be much cleaner than Ambient Display.
Moto Voice was nice because of the custom launch phrase, and the system commands you could do.
Moto Actions comes in handy almost every day, especially the Dual Chop and Camera wrist twist.
If I could find I way to replace all or most of this then I would be content.

Download Commandr from the play store. I think that allows you to customize your OK Google phrase. It also allows you to add or customize OK Google commands.
But yeah, I use the actions a lot too, and I don't know of an app that will replace them.
The problem I have with Ambient Display is that it doesn't work when I toggle my lockscreen off. MotoDisplay still showed me notifications. With ambient display and lockscreen off, I have no way to visually know my notifications.

Huawei P8 [ROM][6.0] Emui 4.0 B356 Xposed HRT Kangvip

Have discovered what. A custom ROM for the Huawei P8. Very stable, fast, many ... very many settings possible via K-settings, Root, Xposed and Viper4Android. Restart Menu (Normal Boot, Hot Reboot, Recovery Mode, Bootloader Mode)
No themes available for download for location .... China Rom. Own can be activated but.
Download: http://www.file-upload.net/download-11509701/P8_EMUI4.0_B356_Kangvip.zip.html 950MB
Almost excellent...
But, problem with contacts and Google accounts..
The two seem to be linked.
So you cant sync your google contacts?
Try flash gapps for marshmallow, however you forgot to write that media apps are in chinese and you can not change it, dialer app has chinese features and symbols in it which is annoying too
Damn, this looks good. If we could get google services working and fully English this would be perfect.

Does fromFuture offer something special? Except deodexing
Just to give u guys some wee insight as been on both roms lately but currently stuck with fromFuture. That KangRom is awesomness and you can customize plenty of things. This being very close to BlissRoms or many others AOSP base. Chinese aps you can easily uninstall. Chinese text eg. in the dialer you can deactivate in local build.prop by changing the CN country to EN. There's a snazzy working tutorial on Mate 8 forums called Chinese text gone with Yellow Pages. The Rom is sweet. But without google contact sync it is bad and it makes no reason to me to be using it However I didn't try any MM Gapps package though. It's got busybox built in as well as init.d support plus xposed that works with HW themes. If you are gonna flash over the 321a update you will lose Huawei Swype keyboard and get the chinese version, playstore gone. U need to pull up all the aps and place them to microsd and then push them where needed upon having this kangmod installed. Another thing is that you need to reflash SuperUser as this rom comes with KingRoot.
The fromFuture Rom is deodexed, busybox built in, SuperUser built in and is light and fast with more ram available and if you do a full wipe in twrp and flash this it will eat around 1giga and something from internal sd. But it is still an entire stock rom with no additional features. But it doesn't require those tweaks I was talking about re. the KangRom.
Huawei dont let us decompile system apks so its very diffcult to build a custom rom.
It seems kingvip have very good contacts to huawei because he is the only person in the
world who can decompile huawei system files.
Right now im rebuild the kangvip rom to a european rom with googles services and NFC.
My last build booting fine and NFC is working.

Their lollipop version has a ton of stuff including xposed but that's already on XDA.
Their marshmallow seems pretty basic so far though:
Deodexed, Busybox, Init.d support and Call Recorder
EDIT: There's another Spanish forum and nobody is complaining about no google contacts sync on either the German android-hilfe.de thread and Spanish forum which is interesting. It isn't listed as a bug either.

I would be guessing that is because they flashed MM Gapps and it worked but I personally haven't tried that yet. However fromFuture Rom works like a charm and if you wanna go to KangVipRom you can even reflash over the fromFuture and it will work. I will give it a try again to see if reflashing Gapps will do any good.
BTW, this cusrom compatible for UL00?

AOSP apps remover v1.2 | Android 7.x | 11/08/16

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for bricked devices or other issues.
For all of you who likes clean ROM and hate duplication between system and user apps folders this tool will help. This will remove all defaults AOSP apps except launcher and keyboard. I suggest after removing to install pico version of gapps or all of this will not make much sense. Also boot animation will be gone, trim it to the bone
For everything else you may need use Play Store. This way upgrading existing apps will not make any duplicates.
Please don't hesitate to post if you like to see some more apps to be included in this remover.
V1.2 11/08/16

I've noticed this too on my Nexus 6 regardless of ROM- Google Camera does not show up in the PlayStore. Like others have mentioned if you sideload the apk from somewhere like apkmirror it will work. Alternatively you can try clicking on this direct link from your Nexus 6 and it should hopefully take you to the play store with google camera displayed- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera

I ran this while doing a clean install of Pure Nexus. Zips flashed in TWRP in this order: 1) Pure Nexus, 2) Full GAPPS (linked from Pure Nexus), 3) B14CKB1RD kernel, 4) phh's superuser, 4) 320 dpi, 5) AOSP apps remover. Google camera was available on first boot. ?
Two possible AOSP app oversights: AOSP keyboard (risky, I get it), and AOSP spell check (part of keyboard app?).
No problems experienced after booting into ROM and getting everything setup to taste. This is now a go-to/must have flash for me. Thanks!

How did you drop your DPI to 320? Was it on N? I've tried changing DPI in build.prop and using apps but nothing worked.

Yeah, on 7.1.1 right now. The Pure Nexus FAQ clued me into these flashables. Adjusting the display size may confuse the DPI change, but a reflash of the DPI zip fixed it for me in 7.0 (and I haven't messed with it in 7.1.1).

why can't I see who is calling me? It's only shows missed calls; awesome zip file (my device is a Moto Maxx, similar to N6) but only this problem that bothers me
Go into settings/apps then click on the cog in upper right corner. Now set your current diaper app as default for phone. This should fix your problem.
any chances to do a flashable zip that could work in all devices?

Can i turn S20FE into Pixel?

Can i transform a S20fe in google phone, with calendar, phone, contacts everthing from google?
I'm afraid to remove all samsung Apps via ADB, such as calendar, phone and others.
It's possible? Or if i remove this apps, i crash something?

if you're happy unlock your bootloader you can flash Pixel Experience+ GSI
otherwise you'd still need root at least for lawnchair launcher if I remember right.
Lawnchair doesn’t need root. If you want to root, but not custom rom, try pixelify module.

If you want quick switch support, you need root. Android 13 also does not support lawnchair quickswitch.
