Too little info to go on. Module installation logs, Magisk log, magisk_debug.log, etc, are all necessary for troubleshooting.

The log file after installing again modules... https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4420718&stc=1&d=1518695525

That link is broken.

Really? Because I open the link and download the log file in my phone.. How can see you the log file?

When I click the link you posted above, I only get a message that the post might have been moved or deleted.

HELP! Getting Error message...

Hi All,
Trying to get an app to run that doesn't like my rooted phone. So Xposed and RootCloak I thought would be the way to go.
Downloaded Xposed but on the main page under the "Framework" heading it reads in red: "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?"
Yes, I have installed the framework and rebooted!
So I thought I'd ignore that and clicked on modules. Rootcloak is showing there and I've ticked it, but above this now highlighted in a large red square with black letters. "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?"
Well yes I have.
So I click on Framework to be greeted by a great load of error messages which read as follows:
"Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 21 or your processor architecture (Armeabiv7a)
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE: could not load library libdvm.so needed by /data/data/de.robv.android.exposed.installer/cache/app_process. caused by library libdvm.so not found"
So I try going into "Download" on the app, selecting the first option under the heading "Framework" it lists "Xposed Installer". I can right to "Versions" to see if I can download an older version that perhaps is more stable? I click on 2.6 and it downloads fine. I then click "install"
It asks me whether I want to install and gives me the bizarre opition of new | all. I've tried both and I hit install, then it takes me to a screen that simply says: "App not installed".
What am I doing wrong guys and can anyone recommend a fix?
Xposed 2.6 and 2.7 are for the KitKat v4.4 firmware, and you're using the Lollipop v5.0 firmware.
In order to install Xposed on your device, you have to install a custom recovery utility and "flash" a file into the system, then install Xposed 3.0 app. Which file you use depends on the processor and family of firmware your device has.
Full details can be found in the discussion thread for "Xposed for Lollipop"; make sure you read and understand the first two posts completely.
Thanks for that mate I can never figure anything out.
So read the discussion thread and the read only thread and have used the chart to see which version is need...
I have android 5.0, or so it says in about device
My cpu is snapdragon 800 which wiki says is armv7 so happy days.
But I haven't a clue if I'm touchwiz or not? Having never heard of it I Googled it and it something to do with my home screen? If so I think I disabled it in aroma when I installed aryamod rom. Is there anyway of checking this?
And the only files I need when sum1 has kindly answered that is the correct installer and the .apk. I flash the .zip file using my twrp then boot find the .apk install the app and we're good to go?
How do I know which Uninstaller I need? And do I need that or is it a just in case file?
Thanks!

TouchWiz is the UI implemented by Samsung in their stock ROMs. If you don't have a Samsung device, you don't have a TouchWiz-based ROM. If you do have a Samsung device, check the thread/forum of your ROM if it is based on TouchWiz.
You need the "XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk" and the "Xposed_v75_SDK21-arm.zip" file. The uninstaller can be found in the same download section, normally it has the keywords "uninstaller" and "-arm" in its name.
It didn't perform what I wanted from it but I've got it installed nonetheless. Thanks loads

Can't uninstall modules in Magisk

Hello...
Dont use magisk manager that much...
Now I tried to delete some modules. But when I go on the bin to uninstall them, nothing happen...
Also all the modules say, the will be actualized when reboot.
Rebooted many times... Nothing changes
Someone know what to do?
I have this problem too.
All the modules have 'this module will be updated' and I can't uninstall certain modules like xposed sdk25.
What version or Magisk are your guys running? That sounds like an old bug that supposedly was fixed...
The solution would be to manually navigate to /magisk with a root capable file explorer, deleting the module folders and then reboot.
Mine is Magisk Manager 5.4.0 and Magis 14.0
Isn't it the actual version?
And what do I do because of the update message?

Manually remove the modules, like I said in my last post. And then try again...
Confirmed. Above-mentioned solution worked. Magisk v14 has the problems with deleting modules inside the app.

Glad to hear it works. I spend so little time on the stable release that I forget what bug was fixed when.

Many thanks for that!! I was stuck on boot loop after new module installation and couldn't get rid of it with couple of mentioned methods here.
Finally deleting module's folder via twrp worked.
Thank you again
Settings whole system up again wasn't an option at this time for me

In case you haven't figured it out yet (and for any future people trying to find the same info), the /magisk folder hasn't been used for a long time.
All Magisk files (including modules) can now be found in /data/adb.

[Help] facing a problem in creating magisk modules

Hi all; pardon my lack of knowledge in this subject.
I tried to make a magisk module out of the blackberry productivity edge port found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/blackberry-productivity-tab-devices-t3606967
So I tried using the magisk 1500 template and followed the instructions that I found; and the module installs and works fine via TWRP (and magisk recognizes it), but causes the device to lag. And when I try to install it via magisk, I get "installation failed" with no other logs whatsoever. All the module is supposed to do is to mount a few files to the app and priv-app directory in the system. I edited the module.prop and the config.sh. Could anyone check if I had missed something or did a mistake? Thanks in advance.
The module is located here in case anyone wanted to assist:

Nothing looks wrong with the module itself, but you may be missing some libraries or odex/vdex files for the apps you're trying to install. Make sure the entire tree under system/app or system/priv-app is included in the module. The first link you sent tasks about oat subdirectories that are not included in your module.

Really simple module but I can't even do that lol ...

Hello !
I'm trying to create simple as fk module... I edited system app and would like to replace already existing system app with it via magisk. I want to utilize magic mount to replace apk every time phone boots.
I tried reading guide on how to make module and the magic mount section says that everything is already in place for doing exactly this , I just need to place files inside module's system folder and everything is supposed to work but the first attempt went rly bad :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/ha-zip.5410919/?hash=036cbc145f7ed9195b564f943507950f
It didn't even get past unzipping no matter what I did - i made sure to keep all files in root of the folder , used various zip apps and levels but nothing...
Copying zip to temp directory
! Unzip error
So I obviously fled something up by creating module form ground up... Went and downloaded template from here :
GitHub - gedoor/magisk-module-template: template
template. Contribute to gedoor/magisk-module-template development by creating an account on GitHub.
github.com
Added my files to system folder , update description and edited the config.sh to add REPLACE="
/system/app/PowerKeeper
"
Zipped it and more errors... At least it unzips it alright now but idk what this error means during install :
- Copying zip to temp directory
- Installing Ha2.zip
/data/user/0/com.topjohnwu.magisk/cache/flash/update-binary: line 146: /data/magisk/sepolicy-inject: not found
/data/user/0/com.topjohnwu.magisk/cache/flash/update-binary: source: line 167: config.sh: not found
Archive: /data/user/0/com.topjohnwu.magisk/cache/flash/install.zip
inflating: config.sh
! Installation failed
I realize the template that I've downloaded might be broken ... If anyone could look into my first link that I've shared or the file that I've attached that would be great! I'm not sure what or where to start from in order to get this working...
Ty!
You've got everything you need, but the update-binary and updater-script files need to be in the META-INF directory tree, see here for details on what the installer needs to look like:
https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/guides.html#magisk-module-installer
The template you found failed because it's 4 years old. A lot has happened since then and Magisk's internals are very different nowadays.

I see you help other people too years ago , I was hoping you'd help me out too but didn't really think pming you based on some years old thread is the best idea and here you are lmao o:
It installed well now ! I'll go reboot , fingers crossed I don't end up in some bootloop (• ▽ •
Ty again!
Usually, the best way to summon me is to turn off the lights and say my name three times into the mirror. But posting in the Magisk forum works too (this is pretty much my home here on XDA and I always keep a close eye on what's going on here)...
Glad I could help and good luck with the modules.

Ha ha! Not uncommon when testing modules you've made...
Removing the module from /data/adb/modules is almost always a surefire way of fixing things.
Interesting that Safe Mode didn't work... You had the Magisk patched boot image installed still?

[OFFICIAL] Xposed for Lollipop/Marshmallow/Nougat/Oreo [v90-beta3, 2018/01/29]
Note: This thread is here mostly for historical purposes. While Xposed is supported in various forms [EdXposed and LSPosed], developent on the Xposed primary app has completed. Xposed framework compatible modules are still in active development...
forum.xda-developers.com
I do confirm that the domain https://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/ is not working.
Even for already installed Xposed on android devices, when you open it, the application tries to download and fetch an XML file in dl-xda.xposed.info.
There is also another error due to the same source : Could not load available ZIP files. Pull down to try again
I've updated Magisk on my Nougat and now I'm facing the same issue.
Theres a "backup" here, but I don't know how to tell Xposed to used the URL:
Index of /framework/
...or where should I put the framework files.
Edit: the URL that I posted doesn't have the actual files, I've just realized.
Hey all! I had the same problem and I'm happy to report I've fixed it. Daniel_Laixer was on the right track. Take his link, Index of /framework/ and go to whatever sdk version you need (mine was 26). Keep going and pick the .zip when you get there, then pick 1 capture in the upper left area. Click on whatever date is highlighted, and this should give you the .zip file. (it took me a few refreshes before it would give it to me for some reason). Then drop into recovery mode on your phone and install the zip. Done!
