Best rom to use with z3 compact - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have been looking through the forums for a while, there are more roms than you can imagine to choose from.
Which would people say is the best for me to use for stability, speed and battery life? Ideally with a load of bloatware removed too
Also are there any how to guides you can point me in the direction of to install the rom
Thanks in advance

I was wondering which ROM's available makes the battery lastes the longest?

Thanks

Depends on your use, as a general rule, stock firmwares and barebone roms use less battery.
No stable ics or jb right now for daily use (don't flame me, its the truth), but progress is being made.
I've changed the title of the thread to reflect your main question better as we don't allow 'Which ROM is the best? ' threads on XDA.
Here are some general tips:
- If you want to save battery use a ROM which has been de-bloated & install only useful apps, the less the better.
- Root & use a firewall to allow internet access to apps you want.
- If your battery still drains very fast then install 'Better Battery Stats' app to check what's draining your battery.
Cheers !

[Q] fastest rom for n7000

just bote the note n7000 a couple off days ago and it was on stock 4.1.2 witch was awfull so slow and laggy etc so i made the plunge to root custom rom etc and now have cynagon mod 5.1.1 rom and while its an improvement over the stock im noticing my cpu is maxed out when just browsing the net or browsing facebook wuitch is causeing the phone to get very hot and battery is dying alot quicker ... so my question is whats the fastest and lightest rom for n7000
Omnirom 4.4.4 is the best rom for my note.
Official CM 11 kitkat is the best rom for me, no lag, smooth, weekly update, alot of themes you can find on playstore. Guaranteed.
First of all, "speeding the device" is not just ROM. It is kernel also, and other components (battery also, yup). I've tried several combinations of ROMs and kernels, and the best solution for me is TouchWizLite v2.0 and HelloWorld Kernel. TWLite ROM is touchwiz based rom, 4.1.2 jellybean, without any bloatware, only with applications that most peoples uses. No bootanimation, better battery percentage, etc. It is clear, and safe. Also got problem with my chinese battery, but gone with this ROM, definitely must have.
Performances: 9/10
Battery: 26h (7h display on)
Best Regards
I use SlimSaber (based on SlimROM).
It is light, fast and minimalistic with good battery life.
It also has real black theme to save battery life.
To reduce battery drain during browsing I use firefox with stylish addon and black theme for background.
With my first battery I can use phone for 2 days without charging.

hello guys, does someone know which is the most reliable and stable at the same time faster than the official jellybean 4.1.2 stock rom for galaxy note n7000?, i have tried ([ROM][LineageOS14.1][Nougat][Android 7.1.2] NightOwl 20180824 by bauner with this kernel: Nightowl-cm12.1-20160215-n7000-kernel) but i wasn't pleased with the speed and i want to change i had experianced some sort of glitch and i couldn't play my favorite game : (miniclip 8ball pool) fluently in it.

Best SP rom

Hello,
I want to know what is the best performance custom rom for sp. I tried new roms like lineage 14,15 aosp7,8 yes they have many modern features but the performance is low specially when connected to mobile data or wifi network phone hangs. So I don't need any fancy things on my sp, just need to perform well. Suggest me a best lightweight performance rom. it is ok if the rom is old i just need performance.

This one is great. Lollipop version.

whats best rom for battery life?

greets
RevolutionOs
It is hard to answer as their are many custom rom and it's difficult to be sure.
But if you think of it, theoretically, it should be the rom with the less extra features and especially a rom without google apps (like LineageOS or HavocOS without gapps) that suck the battery out of our phones.
Could be kernel optimization too.
Could be the apps you installed on your phone too.
Many options possible.
I would suggest going with a custom rom without gapps or a rom well rated/tested (as it is potentially appreciated by users therefore has good battery experience).
So... I guess you better try the more popular of them and see which has the best for you

Exynos S10 - Custom ROM or No Custom ROM?

Hello
Just a quick question on everyones thoughs as to wether custom roms make a big difference on this phone or not?
This is the first phone I have had where I do not have an immediate desire to unlock my bootloader and start messing around with stuff. I enjoy OneUI's featureset and everything just seems to work as expected.
Do custom roms on this device have a significant improvement over performance and battery life?
Thanks
LineageOS Roms have much better battery in my experience, and is snappier, however the animations aren't as smooth I feel. If you have no problems with performance however, there's no point switching to LOS just for the speed.

I typically only like to root and use stock rom. I need root because I hate ads, and like to have full control over my phone. With the S10 if you don't use a custom rom though you'll need to use a button combo to boot into the rom anytime you power off so I chose to go with BeyondRom since it's basically the stock rom but is modified to always boot into the rom.
