HTC APPS LIST OnPhone

Sup everyone. Thought id share how im organizing all my apps for the Rogers Dream while im waiting for H's root on this damn device haha. I've catagorized my apps for easier access cuz i didnt really like the scroll up/down to find an app. I sure wish I had a list like this when i started off so i hope this helps some of u guys. So ive had this several days after the release date here in Canada and have been having a pretty good experience with it. Loving the free apps that are available in the market and also loving the reactions i get about the phone. Key things that are bothering me though is that it does slow down at times and the battery life is never enough. Im with Rogers paying $70/month tax included with the promotional $30 for 6 GB/month data plan. I also do work at a Future shop as a Cell Expert so i deal with all the major providers except for Solo Mobile. So feel free to ask about any questions about plans/phones. So heres my list which ill be updating as much as i can, IF i can that is... This is actually my first post ever in a forum so yeah....haha. Thought id rep the Dream(yeah, not G1) here in Canada. So after all that...here we go:

So take care and enjoy, happy downloading and please comment on anything about ur apps experience and to what other apps i should add to my list. oh and major thanks to the developers and best of luck to haykuro on the rooting of this phone.
QuickOffice?
I personally think Documents to go is better than that one.
Ive gotten used to QuickOffice and cant seem to find this Documents to go in the app market. wats the actual name of it? are there any other apps anyone else would like to share that they would add to this list? ive download more apps to this too actually so ill be updating it tonight

[Q] Help with google play & Movies

Hey whats up guys,i have two questions in this thread, so basically I used my device for months and I was just clicking around when I found that I can hide my movies banner which is kinda annoying to me, so what I did is went to the three dots clicked settings and that option is transparent and unable to click it. My other problem is that I had my phone rooted then dumbly unrooted it, what happened is that I couldnt sign in my google accounts and cant open my google apps like google play store or others witch there is a massage saying cant establish a reliable connection to the server. Now this sucks. If you can please help me to enable the banner button or my account log in I would appreciate that

How Can I stop Google Christmas Ornament PopUp Ad.

Please tell me how to stop the Google Ad that popups like a Christmas ornament.

anyone else getting a ridiculous ad that blasts with sound in galaxy apps

I understand adware and blocking web ads but this is insane wherein samsung now slides in a nasty ad that blasts with sound in the galaxy apps.
I wont pay adguard a yearly fee to block it. If anyone has a way to make that ad go away, please help. blocking the app is ridiculous.
Blockade it is run through DNS so you we see a wrench up top but does work really well.i run it on my phone and on my Amazon fire. On the fire stick it blocks a 1000 as a day easily
When I download anything from galaxy apps, a very brief pop up appears saying that the download will start after an ad, but the ad never shows! The pop up lasts only some 2 o3 seconds, it has been this way since day one, 5 months ago, as the ads never show, I now pay no attention

the ad is not a popup but a ad that sounds off loud. never in years has galaxy apps did this. samsung needs to get a grip on this before our apps all become useless to open. i did try adblock for apps but no way in hell will i pay 60 a year to use it.
So, the ad comes up in the galaxy store, or when you open something purchased/downloaded from galaxy apps?

Does it use a VPN?

Yes, Blokada is another VPN adblocker. Most non root adblockers are. I don't use Blokada on my phone since I'm rooted but I do use Blokada on my Fire TV & Sony TV to block YouTube (TV version) ads. It has been working great for me for a while but as of a few days ago some ads aren't getting blocked, even with SmartYouTubeTV. I think YouTube updated their TV version recently. I may have to try something else.

De-Google-ing my Note 9

Hi guys. I'm starting this thread in hopes of sparking a conversation and a concerted effort to rid ourselves as users from the clutches of Google and other big tech companies. I am sick and tired of Google tracking me and attempting to force feed me ads on a daily send constant basis. Then selling my info to other companies such as Facebook. So, I have started down the path of decluttering (De-Google-ing) my device(s). I am primarily interested in securing my device as much as possible and protecting my privacy.
So far, I have reformatted my entire device to factory default settings installed and using F-Droid (FOSS) for all my apps. I use Yandex as my search engine (I am often to suggestions and recommendations) in the "private browser" app. I use Aurora instead of Google Play store, New Pipe for YouTube-ing, Frost for Facebookingand SlimSocial for Twitter. I have stopped using Google keyboard and any other Google apps. I have abandoned gmail and replaced it with proton mail instead. So far, no ads and as far as I can tell, no tracking. I have also installed a VPN and am using it religiously—Cyber Ghost, a $99 for 3 years subscription with support up to 8 devices.
However, I am still very much connected to Samsung for I am not privy as to whether or not Samsung is as sinister as Google and Facebook.
Again, I am open to all suggestions, corrections and recommendations. Thank you and I hope to engage with you all.
