Hey whats up guys,i have two questions in this thread, so basically I used my device for months and I was just clicking around when I found that I can hide my movies banner which is kinda annoying to me, so what I did is went to the three dots clicked settings and that option is transparent and unable to click it. My other problem is that I had my phone rooted then dumbly unrooted it, what happened is that I couldnt sign in my google accounts and cant open my google apps like google play store or others witch there is a massage saying cant establish a reliable connection to the server. Now this sucks. If you can please help me to enable the banner button or my account log in I would appreciate that

I rooted my NOOKColor a couple of days ago using Auto-nooter 3.0 and everything went fine. I was able to start up Google Talk, browse the Android Marketplace and download a few apps, sync with my Gmail account, and basically do everything I tried.
Somewhere along the way, I lost the ability to start up Google Talk. Along with that whenever I try to download an app from the Marketplace, the screen says "Starting Download" but the download never starts. I searched the mobileread forums, the Android forums, and the messages posted here looking for a solution. It appears that the root of the problem is the inability to start Google Talk which somehow prevents the downloading of apps from the Marketplace.
Does anyone know how to get Google Talk working again ?? I know that I can just "un-root" the NC and start from scratch but that seems like a bit of overkill - sorta like breaking an egg with a sledgehammer!!
Any help or suggestions on how to get both Google Talk and Marketplace downloading again would be greatly appreciated.

I start to get Sever Error on Google play Shop. I tried everything but whenever I open Google play it tells SEVER ERROR-Retry.
I have Motorola Razr too and it also have same issue now.
It seems that Google play shop have some bugs.Can anyone assist here how to fix it.

I have the same problem with my samsung galaxy note. last app i downloaded before it happened was twiter. but it was ok even for a wbile after that. I cleared the cache and app data but still it says server error and no error code given only retry button shown. does anybody know how to fix this.

I fixed problem but you need to have rooted phone and install MarketEnabler app, here is a Google Play Server Error quick FIX http://viewoneworld.wordpress.com/2012/03/24/google-play-server-error-quick-fix - my blog post about it.
Its problem with some regional/provider specific markets/plays so you just need to fool it that you are from other region/provider...

Thanks.So It is Google Play shop issue not our devices.I sent e-mail to google play shop support but no reply yet.
I do not want to root my devices.It is google responsibility to provide support and allow google play shop to work globally not only in few regions.If Google will not fix this issue,I will say good buy to android and will buy Iphone.

Thanks.I sorted out my issue.I am using my Galaxy note in Libya.Today I changed my Libyan SIM and used my Egypt SIM and Google play shop connected immidiatly.
Now I removed my Egypt Sim and using Libyan sim and it is working very well.It seems that Google restricted Few Regions/Countries to get access.
Wrong time settings !!
In my case this problem was solved with correcting the time settings. After last update my Note use to pick up wrong time with auto-time update. I corrected time and switched to manual time settings. Immediately the google play connected.

I have googled and searched on here extensively for over a week and cannot find anything specific to this model. Everytime I think I'm close it's a false lead that ends up being for a different model number. Any help would be super appreciated or else I just have a hunk of junk I can't even get into. I acquired it from work and they do not know the original users google info... I just want to be able to set this up for games for my 4 year old autistic grandson.

Same Situation, FRP locked got it from an employee who doesn't know the google account... going to try a method once it charges to 50 but I don't think i'll get anywhere tbh.

I successfully bypassed on t817v. It was a method using a hotspot and cutting the connection at a certain time. I had it unlocked and then 3 months later girlfriend forgets lock screen code and did factory reset so we're at frp again and i cant remember how exactly to do it and cant find where i saved the link:fingers-crossed:

Connect to Wi-Fi and stay on the choose network screen
Got to add network type google.com ling press google.com tape google assist
In Google webroswer type galaxy store and on the predictive results click the galaxy app icon then sign into your Samsung account or create one
Then download a file explorer
Then download galaxy browser then open it from that download screen
Now search google for Google account manager 6.0.1 apk and download it it may seem like its not downloading but it is then download quick shortcut maker 2.4.0 now go back to galaxy app where you downloaded ed file explorer open it got to downloads install the google account manager first then the quick shortcut maker 2nd then open quick shortcut maker from install screen
Search google account manager in the shortcut app now tap google account manager the top the section google account manager with the last words are login activity click the try box after that do not type in the password tap the 3 dots on the upper right hand corner now sign into Google done you just passed the google account verification just go all the way back to the setup screen and sign in with the account you
Ever since Play store changed Interface and got rid of hamburger menu I have been experiencing weird annoying problem. Let's say I type something in search bar, I instantly get the search results suggestions , I click on the suggestion I get the results, but then if I wanna add something to my search request in the bar ,another word,number or even space,as soon as I add another single character the Play store crashes. I tried all the usual fixes, clearing data ,cache,uninstalling Play store,Play services,download manager.After Play store gets automatically reinstalled,for a while I get Interface with the hamburger menu and I have no problems but then it gets changed to new interface after few hours and the problem returns.Any tips would be appreciated. Running non rooted LG velvet 5g on Android 11.
Hi guys, I followed the guide to install Google play. Not sure if this is normal but I am getting a "Google Play services requires an action - Please complete action required by Google Play Services" notification every few seconds so I need to keep the phone on silent or else it will keep pinging a notification noise every few seconds. Any ideas what I can do to remove it? Do i need to reset the phone to factory settings and reinstall the Google Play? Also, i tried using Google Maps but as soon as I open the app, it crashes within 3 seconds - I tried using Petal Maps but it is so confusing.
Also, is there an option for me to install a full english OS on it ? I have a P20 pro UK version and it seems quite different to the OS I have on my Mate X (China version)
Finally, any ideas if I can change the keyboard layout? Having moved from a Samsung Galaxy Fold, I find myself pressing the "full stop" on the Mate X's keyboard a lot! Wouldn't mind changing the layout back to Samsung/ something similar
