Samsung Complete Care Screen Repair: Flash back to factory? - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Morning All!
I am getting ready to file a claim with Samsung Complete Care for a cracked screen replacement. The Note 8 was originally an AT&T branded that I flashed over to Verizon firmware and then rooted. Do I need to flash it back to the original stock firmware or can I leave it as it is? Will I receive the same phone back?

Not exactly the same, but I had to send my Note 8 in for Warranty Screen Replacement for Burn-In. I did receive the same phone back but I was advised to wipe it before sending it in, as they have an entire QA process once repaired to warranty the work. I would suggest flashing back to stock FW and definitely unrooting it, to avoid any issues once there. Good Luck.

Fido Stock Firmware for Canadian S4

Hey, I tried to root my phone but it failed. It still works, but, I cannot get carrier updates now. I was wondering how would I go about getting a Fido stock firmware for my phone.
Or stock ROM I believe. I am hoping I will not need to pay money for a new phone to get things back to normal.

Unroot galaxy note5 Hong Kong version (SM-N9200)

I have been rooting and flashing for quite some time now. However, I am fairly new to Samsung devices. I have only rooted HTC devices before. I have a Galaxy Note5 for T-mobile that is the Hong Kong variant. It was purchased with a crappy ROM and I want to unroot, then reroot again to be sure I get a clean phone ready to be used. I need help with unrooting and restoring the device back to its factory state. I have faith in the XDA community to solve this as I am not sure exactly sure what I can do to do this.
I know that HTC phones have an RUU that you can flash that completely restores the phone back to out-of-the-box condition. Does Samsung have something similar to the RUU of HTC? Please let me know what I can do to restore the phone back to its original conditions.

Help with SMG920T US factory unlocked variant

I recently purchased the G920t factory unlocked version on Amazon. I rooted it and installed a custom ROM. I was hoping that someone could help me out with finding the stock firmware for the factory unlocked variant. I believe it is slightly different from the standard T-mobile firmware, as it didn't include any t-mobile apps, etc. The reason I was asking is I've been having call quality issues and wanted to flash back to stock to see if it would be resolved, but didn't want to flash to the standard t-mobile stock as I believe it is slightly different. I know I should have made a back up before flashing a custom ROM but I failed to do so and am now trying to fix the issue afterwards.
Thank you so much for any help you can offer.
What firmware was on it originally? What baseband?
My USA factory unlocked 920T shows a baseband of G920TUEU3COK1 after the latest OTA update was installed. XDA rules don't allow me to post links to SamMobile firmwares. You can search their site for "920T", but don't used the "SM-G920T1" search result. The proper firmware has "Cellular South" as the Country/Carrier.
Thank you so, so much. So that'll allow me to roll it back to the way it was right out of the box?

yes, but I don't think it'll reset the knox counter to zero.

Unlocked Samsung Stock Firmware on AT&T Note 8 Questions

Hey All -
As a newbie I'd like to get some clarity as it's a little unclear to me still....I almost purchased a Note 8 from my carrier (AT&T) and
prefer to remove all the bloat so I wanted to get more details before finalizing my purchase. So the phone would be a Snapdragon CPU and carrier locked - which isn't a big deal for me. My goal would be to install pure Samsung firmware and be able to receive updates from Samsung without waiting for the carrier and remove the bloat.
Btw, I did a forum search and found something close but it was a Verizon related topic.
So my questions:
1) Is this possible without tripping knox?
2) What is lost between stock firmware and carrier firmware other than bloat? I'm assuming all the bands and network features keep working as before.
I'm also assuming since the IMEI number is an ATT branded phone Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE is not lost or is CSC uploading still required with stock firmware?
Thanks!

There isn't much bloat on them anymore these days. Yes, anything you do will prompt Knox. You can disable almost any app now without rooting the phone, so no root is needed at all for that purpose. Just disable it in settings, or if not allowed on a specific app to do that, just install "BK Disabler" from the play store.

I've flashed the stock rom through Odin and fairly certain it didn't trip Knox or any issues that aspect since my company verifies Knox compliance.
With the stock rom I get my hotspot through AT&T which I couldn't on the AT&T rom, I just used the tutorial on here to flash it with no problems. I will get the updates for the U1 when it gets pushed down and have got security updates just fine. You can disable a lot of apps already though on AT&T stock
Oh and you don't lose anything other than the AT&T pre installed garbage that nobody really uses
**edit just checked and yes I'm 0x0 on Knox so it didn't trip it

Yes you absolutely can install the unlocked 950U1 firmware on your ATT device. All the 950U devices are identical and the firmware is 100% interchangeable and will NOT trip KNOX. I'm running for T-Mobile firmware on a Verizon Note8 right now. KNOX is only tripped when you flash unofficial firmware, such as custom recovery and ROM.
There's really not much of a reason to do it though. Theres very little bloat on these, and you will lose VoLTE and WiFi calling by flashing the unlocked firmware.
But if you still want to flash the unlocked firmware, follow this post:

Did you guys who flashed stock firmware get stuck with the 80% battery issue? Cause I thought about it just to get Oreo early but I don't want to lose 20% of my battery. Also have any of you tried to flash a regular update to a carrier note 8 using the update from SD card option?

You only lose battery capacity if your root a snapdragon. Not just by flashing official firmwares.

Okay I was confused. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I hope they find a fix for that eventually.

FRP Custom Binary Lock

I bought a N920T board off Ebay last year, as a backup for my phone. This year I had to pull it out only to find it had a FRP lock on . I can't even boot into recovery, let alone the rom. I'm stuck with dealing with Download mode here, and I don't know what firmware version is. I download EVERY stock rom for the U.S. N920T - going all the way back to 5.1.1, but NONE will flash in Odin. Can ANYONE Please assist me in this issue? I KNOW I can get this board to AT LEAST take a stock firmware.
