Coursera lectures watching app on Android TV - Google Chromecast

Hey guys,
I developed a Coursera lectures watching app for Android TV for my personal needs.
If someone is interested, here is the tutorial video:
Thanks & Enjoy

Just searched Coursera on Android TV then pop up this post. This is a very great app to keep learning on TV.
I don't have time to install this app now, but I saw the screenshot from your website. It seems to be no option to open the subtitles.
I'm not English native speaker, so I need subtitle to help me understand the contents from videos.
I wonder if the newer version will have the option to open the subtitle or it already have it?
Again, thanks for your work!

[Q] Does the I9000 support Divx online streaming? NO ONE KNOWS!!!

So does the Galaxy S on Froyo support streaming Divx on the web (http) or not?
I've waded through dozens of threads in which everyone asks the same question but no one gives a real answer, or geeks misinterpret the question.
I watch streaming divx movies on movshare.net, stagevu, vidxden, etc... on my computer using the Divx web player. But when I go to stage*vu on my Galaxy S, it shows a tiny 3d box with question marks- which indicates that I might be missing an app or extension.
Here's an example: http://www.vidxden.com/xulipva5r5e1
Another example: http://www.movshare.net/video/jk90g9v8zppku
Check quicksilverscreen forums for many more links.
Let's be clear here: We're not looking to download a divx movie completely and then watch it. We all know this can be done- this is not the topic.
Does anyone have an answer???

complete newbie...what do i do?

Hi All
So I have spent the past hour or so going in and reading threads, but I cant find any newbie guides for idiots like myself.
Basically I have a chromecast, I got it almost a year ago. Ive barley used it as I don't find it much use. So I want to hack in to it. I have an ATV and Id like to do something similar with this if possible, load on sports channels, movie channels etc etc. And of course if anyone has any tips of anything else I can do with this gadget much appreciated.
If anyone could just post a link to a step by step guide I *should* be able to follow this, I just cant find any.
Thanks in advance.
Google's ever-expanding list of Chromecast-enabled apps is here: https://www.google.com/chrome/devices/chromecast/apps.html
There are many other interesting sources that can be accessed indirectly, but you'll really have to do some research on your own about each of them individually. There's no comprehensive guide. For example some internet video streaming sources can be accessed by running the app that accesses that source in Android, selecting the video player when prompted to be a Chromecast-enabled player like Avia, LocalCast, BubbleUPnP, AllCast etc., and then using that player to cast the video link to the Chromecast.
Or if you use Plex Media Servier on another computer, you can use the Plex client app to cast video from local files or Plex Channels to the Chromecast. Here's the guide to using Plex channels: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/categories/200109616-Channels

How can I see Arabic subtitles with my movies?

I know that arabic subtitles are not supported yet on oculus video app. And I have contacted them to support it but they dont yet. Then I tried to hardcode subtitle in the movie without using pc but I couldn't find an app that can do that. Is there any way to watch my movies with arabic subtitle on oculus video or any other app? My device is not rooted and I dont feel comfortable rooting it , so is there any 3rd party app Like oculus video that allows me to enjoy my movies with arabic subtitle without rooting? Any solutions please

You would probably have to burn it into the file manually via editing software such as Adobe Premier. I know they have plugins to edit VR videos. I think its only available on MAC versions though. I may be wrong.
Can u tell me if I can do that through my mobile without using pc? Do u know any app that have the ability to hardcode subtitles with movies on the phone?

Are you putting the subtitles into the proper folder and naming them properly? I have no issues using subs. I use English subs but can't understand why Arabic subs would be "not supported". It's just a .srt file.

English subs are supported but Arabic subs are not. I tried to contact oculus about this issue 2 times for the last 4 months and they are not supporting Arabic subs yet and they dont even have an idea when they will " as they said" !!!. Thats why I am looking for another solutions .
