are you sure your unit is thecorrect one for correct firmware?

[Q] anyone can help me to flash back my krean version rom?

HI,everyone,
i have an problem about my 'I9000' ,it is korean version and type code is
'SHW-M110S' in krean,
i flash the rom 'jh1' by the tools 'odin',
and select "re-partition",but now the function of mobile is failed,
i can not call and sent sms.
the IMIE code can not be query, display :unknown:,
now i want to flah the korean M110S ROM "DH9",use odin.exe
but always display failed
counld anyone tell me how to do?
if use odin can do,how to set the pararmeter?
if i need to the pit file?which one?if need to re-partition?and so on.
tks a lot
Start Odin, tick re-partition, select 512.pit (do not select PDA, Phone, CSC or anything else).
Put phone to download mode and connect to pc.
Once Odin finds your phone (the first ID window turns yellow and shows COM ID), click start.
It takes up to ten minutes until Odin finishes (Pass! text appears), and phone will turn off automatically.
In Odin, press reset button and untick re-partition.
Remove the battery and insert it again.
Put phone to download mode and connect to pc.
Select the M110S-NPS-IMAGE-REV03-DH09-2002-USER.tar archive as PDA and press start. After Odin completes your phone will be booted and restarted in Online mode automatically.
I know most people flash .pit file at the same time with the ROM itself, but this way is described in Samsung service manual so I personally do it this way.
If your IMEI is unknown sounds that you have wiped your efs folder.
This happens when you select clear efs in Odin.
tks very much
i followed the method to do
but
after 'Select the M110S-NPS-IMAGE-REV03-DH09-2002-USER.tar archive as PDA and press start.' the odin display failed when process :modem.bin;
can you help me again for this problem?
tks and hoghly appreciation

[Q] Stuck in Odin when flashing kernel

I was following the overcome guide and when i came to step 8/9 (flash overcome kernel) it didn't work, so then i chose the same pit which you use in a previous step and also the kernel and now it worked with the pit but not the kernel. i got stuck in download mode and tried to flash only kernel again but it didn't work not it got stuck on ConnectionSetup... or something like that. I think it couldn't find the device, i shut down odin and took out the micro-sd card which someone said could cause problems but it still didn't work. now i'm stuck at a screen like this: picture of phone .. ! .. picture of computer. I guess it means it can't connect to the computer. Anyone know what to do? I've tried searching the forums and tried some different stuff but haven't succeded.
Edit: Seems like i can use odin even though i don't get into the download mode, will update soon. Seems to work correctly, i'll give the flashing another try and i will make sure to cross the right boxes and so on.
Edit2: This time i checked that i had all the correct things crossed in Odin but when i try to flash the kernel it fails. what should i do? i come from gingerbread 2.3.3 (re-stocked) so it can't be the bootloader right?
Edit3: This is what i get when i try to flash the kernel:

<ID:0/036> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/036>
<ID:0/036> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Edit4: From my research it seems i have the same problem as people hade with the signed/locked bootloaders on froyo, however i'm running 2.3.3 and the thread specifically said not to use their patch so i have no idea of how to solve this. Help would be very appreciated.
Edit5: finally works, thanks to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324052

[Q] Big time help needed

I think I may have done it this time. I was trying to root my galaxy tab ATT SGH-I957 through Odin. I flashed AOSP through Odin, it showed it flashed successfully. So I began to boot my tablet up in Recovery Mode. I got the following Message Under ODIN MODE: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I then connect my tablet into my laptop, and try to connect it to Kies only to find that Kies cannot discovery my tablet, as it just continues to show that kies is trying to connect the device.
I then try to get back into Odin3 v1.83 to see if I can flash the stock recovery.rar and get a red FAIL with the Following Message:
<ID:0/008> Added!!
<ID:0/008> Odin v.3 engine (ID:8)..
<ID:0/008> File analysis..
<ID:0/008> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/008> Can't open the serial(COM) port.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1
So- I am at a loss.
I honestly cannot give any further details as to where I goofed- as I did this while watching NLDS Game 5 as a Cardinals fan.. Too much excitement I guess.
Still stuck.. have I royally screwed things up?

You didn't by chance flash a ROM for the 7300?
If so, I think you are screwed, as the hardware is different as well as the partitions.
go back and check the filename for the .tar you flashed.

Flash the stock rom through odin and you'll probably be ok. You can find the stock rom on sammobile. Make sure you get the right one for your device.

SW REV Check Failed device 3 binary 2 and sboot HELP

I tried to ROOT my phone and now its bricked. I can get to TWRP and reboot but it does nothing it just loops. I really need help. Thank you if advance.
Can you get to download mode? If so, Odin to stock. The error in the title of this post usually happens when you try to Odin an older firmware than what's already on the device. Be sure to Odin to the latest firmware.
have the same issue. Tried Odin to stock and got the following:
<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/003> FAIL!
<ID:0/003>
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Any help will be appreciated.
same issue here
this error happen when i want to try installing new rom for s6
sw rev. check fail. device:3, binary:2
i search hole internet i couldnt find any solution
can any body suggest anything or help me in any way?
i broke sb elses phone and now i cant do anything help me pls guys
ALWAYS make a backup in TWRP before you try to flash a ROM. If something goes wrong you can restore and you should be okay.
IF you can still access TWRP then try to download and flash another ROM (Sick as Hell ROM is one suggestion). You may also try restoring to out of the box status using Smartswitch or Samsung Kies. I personally have used Kies with success on an Tmobile S6 several times (once after even wiping the system in TWRP).

Please help - Sorry if this is the place

Hi folks,
I friend of mine have this phone that is stuck in Odin mode. The problem is that none of the "press and hold keys" commands work and the phone just reboots into Odin every time. She has "tons" of Pictures of her first born Child on the device, without any cloud backup! :crying:
Any suggestions what to try next?
What i have done so far:
Trying all the "press and hold keys"
Letting the battery drain out and the hook up the Power to it... When connecting Power the screen turns White for 15-20 minutes and then if i reboot it, it goes back to Odin/download mode...
Is it possible that opening the phone and removing the battery could work?

I am no expert, just going to suggest what I would try, hopefully someone may know what to do exactly.
You could try downloading stock filmware from Sammobile or updato (making sure to at least flash the same filmware build or higher, or Odin won't flash it) if you use the "home csc" csc file, it should not wipe the data on the phone, and what I hope may fix the phone not booting.
First of all you should have mentioned the model no. Second, you can try flashing the stock firmware from sammobile. Now, the tricky part is, if prior to this soft brick the phone was on a custom rom or had been rooted, then flashing the firmware alone won't bring the device back to life, a factory reset will be needed after flashing stock firmware, which doesnt seems like a favorable option considering that the data on device is important. There can be other ways to fix this without losing the data but for that illl need to know the device details.
Oh and btw, opening the device and messing with the battery won't help at all. Don't do that.

Its an Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950F)
The only thing i can see in the display is
https:// imgshare.io/image/odin-2.U7KCu
We dont know what firmware was beeing used Before this, it´s not custom or rooted tho. I assume its the latest official tho
I grabbed the latest from Sammobile, N950FXXU7DSJ1_N950FCKH7DSJ1_HTS
I could try the above suggestions but what about trying to flash the BL? Could it not be the BL that is cuppupt somehow?
I did try and flash the BL now but Odin software says:
<ID:0/004> Odin engine v(ID:3.1301)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..

So it seems the partitions are gone, @stinka318. Next, where do i find PIT-files?
Found PIT file but it failed.
Also tried CSC flash but it fails (looks like Odin might not cennect to the device (ID:COM 0: [COM4])
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..

Driver related? i have the Samsung USB drivers installed….
https://zfirmware.com/download-samsung-galaxy-note-8-pit-file/
Seems like it's a kernel problem, or maybe the phone IMEI reported stolen?
Have you tried installing custom binaries? TWRP maybe?
Or messing with OEM unlock found in Developer Options?
Most of the for solving such problem, you have to flash the exact same firmware found on phone before the problem.
Try rooting using odin and then twrp and thenflashing a custom firmware..... That could help..... Just a thought.... Wipe everything except internal storage
https://mega.nz/#!Lk8RiKQR!FiH50HLQp1aijVkRARSPtBN6M6wFphShHsm7i6u23lw
Try flashing this via odin through AP.
