Guide me change font ? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Heyy, good evening. I want to use Fontfix by JRummy to change OP3T font, it is working but only for some parts of font. So the question is, which system font I need to overwrite so most of my font display changed ? I want the time, date, notification to remain default/roboto. I want to change something like whatsapp, reading web, etc. Hope you can help.

I am not sure that it's even possible like that. Some apps have their own fonts built in which they use regardless of what you may have flashed globally.

Digital clock in specific picks up ur system font. Most apps also do that, although some allow u to download market font packs and use those instead.
I know, but is there a way to know witch specific font it's using ?

Em most of the time, the apk will have an asset folder, with the font file inside it.

I think it would be way easier for you to use an app like Font Installer Root to install a new font. I do not think that you can just replace one file.

[How To] Watch Styler Custom Fonts

I haven't seen anything about this anywhere else yet, so if this is common knowledge just ignore it.
This won't let you change the spacing of the clock or from a 12h to a 24h clock, so you have to create a theme using the format you want first, and then we can change the font from there. I'm not totally sure if you need root for this or not, my phone is rooted and I was using root browser to get to the files.
First, get your theme set up how you'd like it, besides the font that is. The first picture attached is an example of my first font swap theme before I did the swap.
Second, find the two fonts that you want to use and download them.
Next, navigate to sdcard/Android/data/com.omnitel.appcessory.gear.watchstyler.manager/theme/(what you named the theme we're editing)/texts/fonts. See what the font files in this folder are named, and rename the fonts you just downloaded to the corresponding font you want to change. For example, the clock font in the first image is named debussy.ttf, and the one I replaced it with is named varsity.ttf, but i renamed it to debussy.ttf so the app would see the same file name and substitute that font file for the one it originally uses. Same thing for the date font.
Last, move those different font files you want for the clock and date to the fonts folder we were looking at before, replacing the font files that were originally there. They should show up fine now, like they do in the second picture I've attached. Note that your preview in the app will not change, and I haven't messed with trying to get it to update, although I imagine it might update if you delete the PRV_IMG.png in your theme's folder.
If anyone has any questions or wants more pictures I will answer whenever I can, it should be pretty self explanatory though.

Check all xmls in res folders and you'll see font color.
Set those lines to white HEX codes colors.
When we are talking about system fonts, or font color in settings you will have to edit few files more.
It's to big thing to say in one post but try to search a bit and you'll find tutorials.
Try to search for editing smali, font color in settings and android theming

Yes, that gives one a headache.
You need to edit the overlay XMLs for a lot of themed APKs, the color.xml.
It's a bit of a detective work and trial and error.
One thing that will make your head explode is the fact that "semc_text_color_primary" in com.sonyericsson.uxp also sets the color for search and edit text boxes. I have managed to controle the color of search boxes by making overlay XMLs for some layout-XMLs and styles for framework-res, but the edit-text boxes still folows "semc_text_color_primary".
I will go into detalis when i get the time in a new thread. I will post a theme you can use as base when time is in my favour.

Thank you for a reply.
I was busy last few days, sorry for a late reply.
I agree with you, it is really messed up to use one color for every system text, if i set white (since most background graphics are black) then i cant see anything on dialer because of white background. I have made another test theme with blue/white/gray details and its simple to use blue text in any app, but since there is a lot of people who would like to enjoy black theme (unfortunately Xperia E1 have non aosp roms) its too bad that making a useful black theme could be that hard.
Im waiting for your new thread, in meantime i will try to find a solution.
