What rom can I run??? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

Hey guys, I'm not new to the s6 world or running "aftermarket roms" . I had one before on epd1 bootloader and was running ozop. Got a new to me s6 and it came with epf1. A lot has changed in the s6 world, and there's a lot that I forgot. Now there's different twrp, kernels with safety net, and magisk. I tried to run ozop v4(and v5) but it gets stuck in bootloop. Tried to downgrade to epd1 but I'm guessing I'm stuck on epf1 bootloader. I'm really wanting to run an aftermarket rom, which rom can I run on epf1 bootloader and what exactly do I need other than the official twrp that I'm running. I am rooted by the way. Tried to get some help in the Q&A and on a couple of rom threads in t-mobile Android development but never got any response. Can someone please point me in the right direction of a compatible rom for my device?

[Q] Update to 4.4.2 or not? Root? too much confusion here!

I just got my 4.2.2 GT-i9295.
Here's too much confusing information, can someone please answer:
Root the device now? with what? (a link please)
OR let it install the 4.4.2 OTA update first? (if the ~200MB one is 4.4.2??)
or can I just flash a pre-rooted 4.4.2?
I looked through various threads over the last 2 hours, I'm confused now... one says 4.4.2 will lock the bootloader and KNOX will screw things up, but another says that's only for AT&T versions, I have INTL... and another says everything is not a problem, KingoApp can do it. And another says I have to downgrade to 4.3 again ?!?
4.4.2 isnt out for the i9295 yet. Im in the same boat and just waiting for something definitive which will probably be OTA.

can i get the i9295 4.4.2 rooted version yet?
also in the same boat,
reading all these different threads about 4.4.2 and rooting but getting confused, Seems a lot of the instructions are for the i537.
I'm currently on 4.2.2 with I9295 unlocked and rooted. build number is jdq39.i9295vjuamg3. would like to upgrade it to 4.4.2 but absolutely want a rooted phone. looking for a straight forward guide to follow. FYI i have ti backup pro and busybox installed. can anyone point me to the correct thread.
normally i stick with the stock versions but if there is a very good and widely recognized non stock 4.4.2 version with everything working and maybe some of the bloat taken out i'd be happy to give that a try. again if anyone can post a link to the thread with some relatively straight forward instructions that would be great.
or do i need to wait a bit longer for the rooted version of 4.4.2 for the i9295?
thanks folks

Stock Kernel for HK M8

Hello, everyone. I'm new around these forums, but I have been following for quite some time. I have rooted my HK M8, and I flashed the CHECKM* kernel (both RLS3 & 4). I have been experiencing sporadic reboots, and I wanted to know if someone could pull the stock kernel from the latest OTA for me. I'm running official software, version 1.54.654.13. It seems as there are no S-Off exploits for the HK model as yet, so I'm being very wary of what I do.
Thanks.
Please disregard. I hadn't paid enough attention to OMJ's thread to notice that the stock roms were posted there.
you got a link to that ?

[Q] A few questions and huge thanks!!!

So currently I am on the G900A, and I have successfully rooted, installed safestrap, flashed the international XtreStoLite ROM. I also appeared to be able to flash the latest ktoonsez KT-SGS5. Wow am I impressed, HUGE thanks to all the crew at XDA, as always!!! My phone finally runs better than my old rooted Galaxy S2 Skyrocket!!! And significantly so, at that! However, I have a few questions. Under about device, in settings, my model reports as a G900F (incorrectly) and the build reports correctly updated, but the kernel reports as being the stock kernel, even though I don't believe this to actually true. Is it? My baseband is also reporting as G900AUCU1ANCE. The XtreStoLite should be based on XXU1ANG2 firmware, but I'm guessing this actually would not update. I did not update with the AT&T OTA, 'just in case'. If I did, I know a downgrade is 'probably' not possible. But is the update still venerable to the same process? Wouldn't that successfully put me on the latest AT&T firmware?

The bootloader blocked the install of the kernel. You still have the stock kernel and until the bootloader is unlocked we won't be able to successfully do this.

not sure on the specifics, kernel yes, and i believe the bootloader as well.

I see, I did not realize that was an implication of locked bootloaders. Did the AT&T OTA update the kernel? Would work to put me on both the newest firmware and kernel? Does towelroot still work on it? Was it likely that the bootloader was updated, making it more difficult to break in the future?

Galaxy S6 Edge 925A 5.1.1 Root/Downgrade/TWRP Questions

I purchased a S6 Edge and it was updated to 5.1.1 when I got it. I am a big fan of rooting/flashing ROMS/mods (My last phone was an extremely modded Oneplus One which met an untimely end) but I am not really sure how to do that on this phone. I would very much appreciate any help with info on how to root/install TWRP. Additionally I know that the S6 on 5.0.2 can be rooted but I also heard that once you update to 5.1.1 can't downgrade but it's worth a shot. I also heard that the [email protected] version has a locked boot loader is there any way to unlock it? If not would flashing say a T-Mobile stock ROM work? Thank you for any help. I also know that Devs don't like being asked for ETAs so instead I will ask if anyone knows how development of Cyenogenmod for the S6 Edge is progressing?
There's no way to unlock the bootloader on the AT&T version of the phone. You won't be able to use a custom recovery such as TWRP.
This is also my first Samsung phone (I've always used HTC devices, which were so easy to unlock/root). Since you're on 5.1.1, I don't think there's any way to achieve root (yet). I may be wrong there, though.
There is no way to root, if you want to do fun stuff with your phone, stay away from at&t

Hi, I'm also in the same boat. I know that this thread is old but I am planning to buy the s6 edge with AT&T (used). The phone is currently running on 5.1.1, (OJ9).
Before buying, is there any possible root YET? Am I possible to downgrade? I am sure these questions have been answered multiple times, but like I said, the threads that I have found via XDA are old. So before purchasing, I'd just like to make sure. Thank you so much!!

No and no , the only hope we have is when we get android 6 and wait for any possible new root method.

Advice on installing Custom Rom on SM-G900A & SM-G900V

Hi all,
Im new to this website but not new to installing customs ROM's on phones. Its been a while but i did it years ago on my S3. Also, I know there are probably threads out there already for this so if this is just a redundant question please forward me to the right place b/c i haven't been able to find a clear answer on my own.
So here is my situation. I have a SM-G900A that I requested and unlock code from AT&T for and is now "unlocked" and I am running android 6.0.1. My girlfriend has a SM-G900V that is supposedly been unlocked by verizon and i moved over to my AT&T account and its working fine (with the exception of lack of LTE data). To my understanding it is not possible to flash a custom ROM on either of these if they are on anything post android 5.0 release. Is this true? I have not been able to find any custom ROM build that say they are made for these models and TWRP doesnt have a version specific to these either.
Has anyone successfully put customer ROM's/bootloaders on either of these 2 devices? I have really only used Cyanogenmod in the past and was very happy with it. But all i have seen is that people say that these 2 models are SOL if they have android v.6 on them.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Check the link below, the first 4 posts or so have the information on downgrading and rooting. I don't know about the Verizon version, the AT&T version bootloader is completely locked down so we can not flash a custom recovery like twrp. Flashfire works like a charm though. The custom roms are limited and pretty much lollipop variants. There is currently no root or custom Rom for marshmallow.

flashfire gives the error "Please update SuperSU to v.2.40 or newer" which I already have. I tried the older ones 1st and it gives the same error. I am not sure what to think about it except I got it to work before with the exact same files from what I recall. is there another proceedure perhaps?
