As we know we have a few treble Roms available for our device. But they are not stable at all in terms of the camera.they could be faster and smoother than the stock 7.0.
20 mpx Huawei mate 9 camera has a lot of features but those Roms lack that privilege.
Actually, we have a great Nougat Roms as well. Which I prefer - fromfuture-.
I'll be using this stock rom until a new AOSP 8.1 or RR Remix will be released.

Here is the Stock Huawei camera zip file.
works perfectly on my US Huawei mate 9, using RR remix Oreo or Lineage 15.
Just flash it with Magisk, don't forget to flash your stock kernel before on fastboot .
reboot it and that's it.

I have RR and rooted though Magisk with SafetyNet passed.
All in all it's very nice, sometimes my phone makes noises even if it's in "Not disturb" Mode. But that only happened twice till now.
Everything else works! GPS, Wifi. 4g, Bluetooth etc. Only Android Auto doesnt work for me, but that's not that important.

So fromfuture is Nougat based?
Then you need to upgrade to Oreo first. Just search the forum, there are several Guides.
After that extract the stock boot.img, kernel.img and recovery_ramdisk.img from your stock rom using Huawei Update Extractor (settings->uncheck checks)
Than simply flash the three Images through fastboot on your phone and do a Data Format + Cache Wip ein Stock Recovery.
Than flash RR Rom with fastboot flash system and Twrp if you want.

If you have your data backup already you can easily go to RR and back to Stock if you want with this method.
First you need to unlock your bootloader with the code you will get/got from Huawei. See here.
1. Go to firmware database and find your stock firmware (which you are using atm)
2. Download the FullOTA-MF-PV (click on "update" to download) and unzip it.
3. Download Huawei Update Extractor
4. Open Huawei Update Extractor and go to settings --> Disable both checksum boxes
5. Import your update.app File
6. Mark kernel.img, ramdisk.img and recovery_ramdis.img and rightclick -> Extract Selected
7. Flash them trought fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash kernel kernel.img
fastboot flash ramdisk ramdisk.img
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdis.img
8. Go to Recovery and do a factory reset and cache wipe
9. Flash your RR rom system.img with
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
10. Flash TWRP if you want
Code:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img
Get TWRP here: https://mega.nz/#!pT5lRA7Y!G5DhJdsR-...fHGzN8OOu9aCko or here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-oreo-t3734967
11. Reboot
12. Optional Root with Magisk 15.4 (see here) --> Simply flash the zip in TWRP and install Magisk Manager App (if you fail in SafetyNet Test flash after Reboot this in TWRP)
13. Update in Magisk Manger App directly to Magisk 16

Flashed over Beta9, without any wipe, with a debloater zip and SuperSU 2.79 flashed at the same time, no problem
Downloaded in Update manager but forgot that doesn't work with twrp. Can anyone tell me where I can find the zip to flash it manually?

Did the zip overwrite your recovery partition/TWRP? Did you have to re-flash 3.0.2-1.28 after the debloater/supersu but before initial boot?
If I flash supersu 2.79 just after installing beta 10 will it remain decrypted?
And also can someone provide the link of debloater
Thanks

i think you can flash it in TWRP, and then flash TWRP and root again (dirty flash) but it should work
that said, you can backup data on twrp, then back it to pc, then sideload beta 10 , fast boot twrp 28 and flash root then restore data...
the reason for this that you get a cleaner rom + any updates and fixes might be there on the firmware side.

And no, I dirty flashed full rom + debloater + supersu at the same time over ob9, and twrp .28 is still there after reboot.
But when I first installed (ob9), yes, ob9 overwrited my twrp, I reinstalled it and I flashed debloater and SuperSU after initial setup wizard (because debloater delete it)
It possible from CM13 flash Beta 10?
Or need flash Beta 7 first than flash Beta 10?
Confuse maybe so excited xD
I updated OB9 through OTA because of which my Twrp got over written by stock recovery. When I tried reinstalling twrp, it fails to decrypt data. So, I can't flash OB10 or SuperSU through TWRP.
Can someone let me know if I can flash OB10 and SuperSU through TWRP without losing my data.
Anyone try this with Dualboot ?

Yeah, I figured that now. Trying to fix this bootloop with eRecovery.
I installed this on lineage os 15.1, but now, i flashed emui 8 system.img, I'm still rooted but I can't flash anything using twrp, it always show ERROR: 255. How to fix this?
What do you want to flash?
The question speaks for itself,I cannot find really any accurate ways to get started because I once tried to install Oreo beta (before official was out) and flashed a Oreo recovery onto Nougat and bricked my phone, and the only way was to use DC Phoenix so for now I have kept my phone on EMUI 8 stock.
So if anyone can tell me the steps to install let's say an Android 8.1 Treble ROM or Android 9 when it gets good as a daily driver,I know that you need to do the following things:
-unlock the bootloader
-install a recovery
-flash a ROM through fastboot or through recovery and after that flash Gapps and a modded version of Magisk
That is pretty self explanatory, but I have seen like that you cannot use TWRP since there is a problem when wiping data and that you need to have Huawei stock recovery and some important things to consider since I see it is pretty easy to brick these phones if you don't follow instructions but since there isn't really clear instructions to do some of these things,I am asking here if anyone can explain to me.
And yes,I do have my bootloader unlock code since as I stated,I tried to do this before.

Also, can I use NoCheckRecovery for Oreo when I need to wipe data instead of stock recovery since I think it would come in handy if I would need to re-flash something through that without Huawei checks and it seems to be easier to find?
And I flash the recoveries to recovery_ramdisk,just to be sure,I know some things did change with Oreo so I am asking?

Ok, it clearly says that that Rom is discontinued, read the last post.
Use a gsi from the treble enabled device development forum and flash it with fastboot (yesyou can use android pie 9.0 gsi's as well as long as they don't say sGSI on it.

Is there a guide to install this I paid DC unlock to get bootloader unlocked but on noughat and cannot find a twrp for noughat:good:
Pie gsi
Hi all,
I have installed Pixel Experience (Oreo) gsi ROM no problem. But if I try to flash any Pie gsi ROM it just goes into a boot loop. I flash system via fastboot and seems OK. Reboot and it just boot loops a few times and goes to the recovery screen that prompts to download and install the standard system.
Has anybody come across this or have any suggestions. I have tried a few different Pie gsi ROMs and same thing happens.
Thanks
Mick
First- I am NOT Responsible if you brick your Device! You do everything at your own Risk!
As I cannot find successfull thread here guiding to root this tablet I am posting the success with rooting with Magisk, all is seen on Russian forum 4pda,but the firmware I am on is not here ,it was little hard to find it(paid) but at the end it works, I have full root:
1 .You must have UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER!!! You can do it here are 2 threads guiding to it,mine was with DC_unlocker-4USD;
2. You must download Magisk from its original thread :Link
3.You must Look at which firmware you are, download the patched ones :С170B003
С170B253
C100B270
Or you can download you full Rom, extract it using Huawei Firmware Extractor extract the BOOT.img from UPDATE.APP file transfer it to your tablet and using Magisk--> install choose boot.img and patch it, then copy the patched_boot.img from folder "Downloads" in the internal memory back to PC,rename to boot.img.
4.You must have installed ADB and fastboot.
5.Using fastboot command on PC install the patched boot.img to tablet:
-First on your tablet enable Developer Options, thick Enable OEM Unlock, thick USB Debugging on,when connected to PC must ask for Fingerprint Security Rsa key, thick Always Trust to this PC"
-Second Tunoff Tablet, then hold volume Down button and connect to PC with USB Cable,Fastboot menu must appear: With green at bottom must be written that it is not FRP locked! If so -dont do proceed disable remove Huawei Account if you have one!
-Third-copy patched boot.img to folder where is located ADB and fastboot, then hold shift and right click mouse button and click Open Command Prompt here.
Now on fastboot menu enter following:
fastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
At the end everything must be OK!
Reboot with power button and check in Magisk !
Regards
I just wanted to confirm that this method works for my tablet. My Huawei Mediapad M3 10.1" BAH-L09 had bootloader unlocked. Emui5.1.2 and OS 7.0. Following these instructions, I extracted the BOOT.img from the stock ROM, then used Magisk Manager app (6.0.1) to create the patched-boot.img. Flashing this patched-boot.img using fastboot mode with command:
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
My tablet now is ROOTED without any problems (camera works normally). In short, just follow exactly these instructions and your tablet will be ROOTED
This works for me on BAH-L09 with Build Number BAH-L09C100B270. My Tab ist now rooted with Magisk 17.1 installed. Next i do flash special version of TWRP from the TWRP Builder site. I took the version for the BAH-W09 (WIFI version of the tab) on my own risk. I KNOW thats not the correct version, so please dont criticize.
Installation via fastboot worked. I can boot into Huawei recovery (Power+Vol-up) and TWRP (Power + Vol-Up and Vol-down same time). System boots without problem too. Also i can flash back the original huawei rcovery.img in fastboot mode.
But there is an issue in this TWRP recovery version 3.2.1-0. It does not decrypt data. I tried to format data and flash "no-verity-opt-encrypt". But there is still an Huawei secure mechanism, that wants me to format data in Huawei recovery again. Without format data my tab do not boot into system.
Next step i tried to get TWRP for my device on TWRP-builder app. but no succes because the build queue ist full. So i have to wait...

Does rooting enable you to install Google Services on the tablet? Is so, how?
Is there an international ROM that can be used (with Google tools)
Thanks! Worked for my Mediapad M3 lite 10 (BAH-L09), but now... How can I update Magisk? The Magisk manager doesn't support the version installed.
Can't install twrp either

For TWRP
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m3/development/twrp-t3914531
For the first step use the 3.2.0 version of TWRP if you are in Huawei's stock Rom.
For me its the best for this moment. Only issue is, that camera dont work in this early lineage rom. But developer is working on it.

UPDATE 10/16/19
I don't know why the development on XDA for redmi 7a is unbelievable lazy, but this is what I stole from 4pda!
1.Unlock the bootloader if you have not already done so.
2. Download vbmeta.img file (4 KB),
Download patched_boot_10.2.5EU.img,
https://filehorst.de/d/cFqIgsev,
2a For patched boot 10.2.6. Global Download
https://filehorst.de/d/cBeCunfm
2b. For patched boot 10.2.5. Global Download
https://filehorst.de/d/cDpHyAId
3. Download recovery
Code:
[URL="https://filehorst.de/d/cHyobAcd"]TWRP 3.3.1-1003 LRTeam[/URL]
[URL="https://filehorst.de/d/crqywBxx"]TWRP 3.3.1-1003-DX mod[/URL]
[URL="https://filehorst.de/d/cbvACbwB"]TWRP 3.3.1-1[/URL]
4. Drop the vbmeta file into the adb folder. Next, rename the patched boot file to boot.img and paste it with recovery into the adb folder
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
For patched boot but generally for the launch of custom firmware on our phone, say thanks YaAlex3
5. Reboot the phone by holding "volume + and power" the phone will reboot into TWRP
6. Flash Magisk
7. Download the GSI firmware. NEED A64 A / B . no other will do.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development
GSI Firmware (A64 A/B):
AOSP 9.0 v119 (special instruction: search for boot fix and flash certification)
Descendant 4.0.1
DotOS
EvolutionX
PE Plus
MSM Extended
/e/
PixelExperience
ViperOS 6.5
LineageOS
And download and upload the Attached file Permissiver_v4.zip file (1.1 MB)
8. Unpack the downloaded firmware, you should get a file with the extension .img We
upload it to the USB flash drive. This can be done without leaving the recovery by simply connecting the phone via cable.
9. Make the Data format, wipe System, Davlik / Cache
8a. Install attached no-verity-encrypt-ysl to stay encrypted (optional)
10. Select Install img below - select the firmware file - select System
9a. If you like Gapps, Install BiTGApps Pie 9.0.0 (optional)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/arm-bitgapps-variants-t3959373
11. Flash Permissiver_v4.zip
12. Go back, select reboot - to the bootloader
13. In the adb folder, launch the console by holding the Shift button on the keyboard and right-clicking in an empty area, select the
line to open the command window.
We enter the fastboot flash vbmeta and then fastboot reboot
Code:
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot reboot
Everyone is now waiting for the phone to turn on (at first it will reboot it's normal)
Note: vbmeta can also be flashed before the start of the whole action, as you wish.
Note 2: If suddenly there is no memory card, you can wipe System, flash everything and format the latest date.
Important Notes (FAQ)
[ROOT]Video recording fix:
put
media.camera.ts.monotonic=0
to /vendor/build.prop
[ROOT] Fix brightness
Turn on USB debugging, run the terminal \ cmd on the PC, write
Code:

How to certify a device for GSI
Important: If you are at the initial setup stage, you must complete it. If notifications about the need for certification interfere, disable them.
We need to find our GSF Device-ID
1. Download the application
2. Copy “Google Service Framework (GSF) there.”
3. Go here , paste and click the button.
Or Just flash this zip and you are good to go
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DTGpGrcjweZbN9wUdSSq8uQTmgxf0aD2/view
I am not good at this stuff so I probably shouldn't do it but I wanted to install Magisk on my phone
I flashed the patched boot using this
fastboot flash boot boot.img
I installed TWRP as my recovery
I flashed Magisk 19.3 from TWRP and rebooted the phone
It started android as usual, the magisk manager said Magisk was installed
After a few seconds phone restarted and booted itself into recovery (TWRP)
I went back to android and uinstalled the magisk by clicking uinstall in magisk manager
But the phone still restarts itself and boots into recovery every time I go to android
And the wifi isn't working
Do you have any ideas how to fix it?
And sorry for my English it's not my first language
Edit:
I used MiFlash to install original boot.img and everything seems to work fine
What does the permissiver do? Is that neccessary?
wow amazing
Has anybody else with an unlocked bootloader tried this? does it work?
Also: OP the recovery.img link is dead. Please reupload if you can.
