Yesterday I had some problems with my phone suddenly, one thing was the connection to my provider (T-mobile NL).
So I did a hard reset, everything worked fine again except that particular problem.. I tried other radio's but that didn't work either.
It takes about 10 minutes for the phone to get on the network. GPRS doesn't work for some reason but when I turn 3G on I can connect to HSDPA (I leave 3G off when I don't need it to save battery time.
I also bought a second battery yesterday and tested it. I now have the original battery in it again and still the same problem. Normally it connects in 5 seconds. I don't think it's a network problem because my T-mobile Prepaid simcard in a sony ericsson k750i works just fine.
Any ideas anyone? Send for repair ?

EZ just change "wap.voicestream.com" to "epc.tmobile.com" and just select "The network connects to the Internet" DONOT select "The Nerwork uses a proxy server to connrct to the Internet" that all. good luck
Hey guys,
So I just got my brand-spanking new HTC One today. I upgraded from the Evo LTE, and I already love it.
But there's one thing that has been really frustrating to me for the few hours I've owned this phone... It has major WiFi issues.
My One can see the WiFi network, can connect to it, but wont give an internet connection! It's so frustrating!
My Evo LTE, being connected to the same WiFi network, connects to the internet with no problem at all.
A temporary fix is to turn off the WiFi radio, then turn it back on. As a result, I would connect to the internet for a minute or so, then it would disconnect from the internet (it's still connected to my WiFi network, and it recognizes it, and it gives no messages about the connection suggesting that something is wrong with my router/connection).
I changed the frequency bands, but they all have the same issue. I have enabled "Best Wi-Fi performance" and "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep."
I've also reseted my router numerous times... No luck.
Is anyone else having this issue, or did I just get a lemon? Can anyone think of a possible solution?
Thanks!
no issues here with my one and my netgear r6300 ac router.
Wi-Fi has been fantastic for me on my one. My evo LTE if you remember had the issue of wi-fi just shutting off after the phone was asleep. That was fixed in an update but even after that was fixed my evoLTE would show it's connected but data would not work. So I would have to toggle it on & off. I also had an issue with my sense widget not working and getting stuck. I was really starting to dislike the evoLTE because of it since your notifications quit working if your wi-fi was not connected correctly. I put up with crappy wi-fi for almost a year, mainly because I knew if I took it into Sprint they would say everything works perfect I just didn't wanna deal with. I know it's extremely frustrating to not have your wi-fi work correctly. My advice see if you can get a hold of another HTC one to test side by side. If it's a hardware issue you should get it swapped. You could also try hard resetting. I use a a WRT54GL with tomato at home and a Asus N66U at work, both have performed awesome with my one.
I have _exactly_ the same issue with my One. I have no idea if it's a software or a hardware problem. Tried a hard reset just yet, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
Really frustrating indeed, since the One is not very good available in the Netherlands yet, so if I return it, I might have to wait a few weeks to get a new one. I've tried it with at least 6 completely different WiFi networks, but the problem occurs with every one of them.
Only issue I have had with the WiFi thus far is it doesn't seem to have the pickup up range compared to my other phones and tablets.
WiFi on mine is insanely crazy! Picks up signal way better than any other device I've ever owned. Might be the kernel I'm running. Try it out! Look in the original dev thread.

I've noticed this as well. Areas in my office where I could get a decent wifi signal with my 3D I am dropping wifi completely with the One.
Router brand/model? Firmware version? WEP/WPA/Open? 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz or dual band? Channel (more relevant on 2.4 than 5)?
Does your phone get a valid IP? Check on the phone itself then the router under DHCP (assuming normal configuration, IP should begin 192.168.*.*)
Can you ping any internal node (ie your router) or external node (ie google.com or the IP to google)?
If your router has WEP/WPA enabled, switch it to Open solely for testing the connection.

Had the exact same problem. Only thing that fixed it was switching my router encryption from WPA to WEP. Works like a charm now. Best of luck.

Same problem and my solution
I had the same problem. Finally I tried to reset the phone without putting all my google-account info back. Then the wifi works fine. After that a Added my google-account and can enjoy my new HTC one. The phone is really good!
Note that in this way I didn't get all my setting back from my google account (like access points), but at it is working!

OMG, you saved my life. This was it!
OK, Let me preface this by saying this is a very Unique situation.
I'm currently travelling a lot for work, and this, do NOT have a fixed line connection (ADSL/Cable).
Currently in the Philippines, I have a prepaid LTE sim which I am using in a Sierra Wireless LTE Card which I brought over from Australia. It works flawlessly, laptop (Sony Vaio SV13 on Win 7 64 pro) works very well with it, speedy connection.
I also have an Xperia Z (been on .350, .434. and .253 stock ROMs, and now on eXistenZ v3, all display same issue) with the same prepaid LTE sim card from SMART (telco in PH), and it works brilliantly too (on LTE, 3G is garbage). Since both the modem and the phone are on the same network, and its fine when using LTE on the phone, it shouldnt be the network. In addition, the "keep wifi on during sleep" setting is OFF.
When I'm out and about, the phone gets all my push notifications on time, no complaints, but when I'm in the hotel room, I want to be able to use the Laptop's LTE connection (it seems a bit stronger, and also because the phone tends to use less battery on WiFI than on LTE).
So, Sony has a built in WiFi router option, but it doesnt work for 3G/4G cards. So upon searching I've found a few alternatives.
1. Beetmobile (works well, but still drops push notifications)
2. Connectify.me (not tried yet)
3. MyPublicWifi (works well, push seems a bit better than beet, but still not perfect)
So I've used 1 and 3, both are free options, and they work ok. BUT whenever I'm connected to my PC, Push notifications just start being stupid. When freshly connected, its fine, but then after a short while (anywhere from 2 minutes to 10), it seems as if Push notifications just get "stuck". I can still access web, FB, instagram just fine, but when I open say whatsapp/hangouts/gmail/exchange mail they can sometime seem like they are hanging. If i switch back to LTE on handset, all of a sudden they all come in. Go back on WiFi (via PC LTE), it would be ok for a few minutes then start hanging again....
I have an iPad too, and that displays the same symptoms (a bit better because at least the Hangouts app on IOS can refresh manually so i have a better indication of whether it is working).
Now, I'm not a networking expert, but am technically versed. Anyone have any ideas how I can make it work? (i suspect the PC/software/lte modem must have something that is timing out, or port being periodically accessed). Or has anyone tried connectify.me and can confirm it works in this scenario? (I'd easily shell out $40 to get this working, but I want to make sure it actually does work, and the free version does not support 3/4G cards..
Oh, and I'm rooted at the moment, and have downloaded "PNF" and have wifi hearbeat set to 1 min...still same
thanks!
oh and it also happens when the phone is on, not just on screen off.

I too faced this problem once. Not sure if this is a bug of some sort, but restarting my device helped me. Give it a try!
Has anyone experienced the inverse of that? For me, my Lumia 535 works fine on wifi but can't access Mobile Data
I was facing the same issue. But I have recently updated my windows phone with new version. Now it works absolutely fine.
my Lumia 535 Dual SIM not working very fine with Wi-Fi. At least i found this explanation by Google: windowscentral Why cant my Lumia 535 connect to wifi router
try to update update the os it have helped me alot.
Recently bought lumia 540, it worked fine with phone data.. but while using high speed wi-fi.. like i am using 40 mbps .. their is slightly slowness for accessing the internet also tested it with downloading and their also the speed is not good at all.
Ok Hopefully someone can sort this out, its a strange one.
My P9 Vodabone store bought and unlocked via dc unlocker and used perfectly with EE for 12 months.
I Moved to Three to get unlimited data & the 30gb hotspot.
Here I encountered the problem, when I turn on the wifi hotspot my mobile internet completely dies.
People can successfully connect to the hotspot but they don't have access to the internet. The phones mobile data connection doesn't exist
while the hotspot is on, (I can't browse or anything)
From 4g to nothing as soon as hotspot is selected.
I have tried a new sim from three and the same thing happens.
I have used my sim in a different phone and it works perfect.
If i try another EE sim it works, just Three and this phone and only with wifi hotspot, (bluetooth tethering works)
Has anyone seen this b4? Any idea's?
