Hello
I have quite a few paid apps on my google pay account..the thing is quite a few of the come with separate unlocker/key apps. Is there a way to tidy up the app folder so that its not cluttered with key apps?
I noticed poweramp key app has an option to hide itself from the system...is there a way to simulate/force a similar behavior with other key apps?

Rant:
Many developers are thinking that their applications are so useful and important, and have the bad habit to put them to autostart at the boot.
That will cause my g1 to take a lot of time to become functional, because it has to load useless applications like twidroid (i am in china now, and twitter is banned), "tag to do" (i use this app once a month!), meridian media player (if i need to listen mp3, i will prefer to wait 1 second when i really need to!), or sipdroid (my connection is gprs, why i would need to keep it in ram forever???? just open it when on wifi)
Unfortunately, my g1 does not have 1gb ram, so i prefer to NOT have ANY app autoloading
So, there is an app that will stop this from happening?
I found this app with google
http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.elsdoerfer.android.autostarts
But i am in china now, i have no access to the paid market, there is a freeware, or an easy way to prevent apps to load at startup?
Or otherwise, a way to buy that app from china?
I agree with you regarding too many apps starting and I do use autostarts for that same reason -- it's great.
To be able to download it in China, just use Market Enabler, which will trick Market into believing you're in the US.
Coming from a Note 3 I was able to use "App Settings" to modify apps and for me I used it to keep display on...
Emails for long reading
Google Playbooks
Etc
Is there a way to get something like App Settings so I can for an app to keep the display on for those apps I read long period of time...?
I recently discovered that AA no longer allows me to re-organize my app order. The apps are all there, but there is no way to re-organize them. Has anybody else encountered this issue?
For the record, it use to be that there were three lines that allowed one to pick up and move the apps within the AA Customize Launcher setting, which allowed one to drag-and-drop to the position desired (e.g. putting Waze at the top of the launcher so it was the first app encountered on the head-unit so no scrolling would be required).
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
B.D.

Click to collapse
Yes, it is a limitation of Android Auto...
Some months ago I was a beta tester of Google play services and in Android Auto was possible to reorganize the app order.
But now I'm not a beta tester and there is only an option to select the apps you want to use in Android Auto.
This is my experience, maybe it will be useful for you
has anyone figured out a way to add "new" apps to the floating system? i would really like to have whatsapp or chrome as a floating app

someone know the best way how to do it?
many thank on advance.
Best you can do is disable and hide it.
hello,
many thanks for your reply.
what you mean to block and hide, the play store app?
if yes, after time its will be able to unhide it.
are you know an option to protect with a password?
many thanks again.
No, the browser is pre-installed by Samsung. You can go into the HOME SCREEN settings (press on an empty space on one of the home screens and select settings). There you will find HIDE APPS ON HOME AND APPS SCREEN. On that menu, you can hide any of the apps so they do not show on the phone. If you ever want to use them, then just un-hide them.
