Dears,
Good day to you,
I was having the Firmware P10 VTR-L29C185B165 , I downloaded the Firmware Finder after reading some topics about updating to Oreo and after that I verified one of the them with the IMEI which is ( VTR-L29C10B360A ) and was approved. I did the steps with the DNS option and I received the update massage I download it and completed the full download after 2 Patch. My phone got restarted and start the installation in the 23% field , after that my phone stack on eRecovery I tried to do the factory rest but still the same. I connected the phone with HiSuite and did the recovery steps , my phone got identified in the fastboot but no recovery available (Please take it to the nearest service center ). I took it to them they said sorry this is not under the warranty.
Can you please help me and I'm really new into this if any can simple the steps I will really appreciate it.
Regards,
Abbas

Please give me steps on how you did it. Am stuck with vtr-l29c185b165. I tried using in app proxy. After i edit wifi proxy as instructed. The ota wasn't pushed. I tried dload method. Feedback was file not found. Sd card dload method. Failed. And i don't want to rebrand. Am from Nigeria. Please help
Just to clarifiy, you cannot install unapproved firmwares via firmwarefinder or other semiofficial methods. The only way to install unapproved firmwares is via the hwota method.

If i read correctly you try to rebrand by mistake, because ou have a VTR-L29C185 Device and tried to install VTR-L29C10 Firmware, which of course leads to a bricked device.
Yes, i know, the firmware was approved, but you have to rebrand it first to install this firmware you ´ve used The devices are basically all the same, but the firmwares differ from vendor to vendor.
3 Options:
1. Download the correct firmware for your device here (B360):
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G2323/g1699/v125107/f1/full/update.zip
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...hw_meafnaf/update_full_VTR-L29_hw_meafnaf.zip
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...07/f1/full/public/update_data_full_public.zip
Place a 3 Files in folder named dload on your sd-card and turn your phone while pressing all 3 buttons. That should trigger the forced dload method.
You can of couse choose an older version:
http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=VTR-L29C185&firmware_page=0 (Just click on filelist to see all 3 parts of the firmware and use FULL-OTA)
2. Use hwota and rebrand to VTR-L29C432, since you already have no warranty
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/how-to/huawei-p10-debrand-rebrand-update-guide-t3691013
Do the steps carefully and for god sake read everthing in the tutorial
3. Use DCPhoenix, but you have to pay for that.

Rollout of CRR-L09C432B361 startet yesterday.
Some Bugfixes, Update EMUI from 4.0 to 4.0.1 and latest Google Security Patches.
Download of OTA available via source: http://www.huaweiblog.de/downloads/huawei-mate-s-b361-firmware-update-ota-download/
Nice to see, Huawei still optimizing their firmwares. After all the buggy ones, this seems to be stable and fast.

I think you must update it from B321 to B621.
@Feroztex
I did a rollback to B145 because the HiCare App under B321 said the B361 update is available, but the updater had no B361.
After the rollback I installed OTA B177 and then got immediately the B361 Update. So I think you can install it over B177.
I'm in B321 but when i want to upgrade for "*#*#2846579#*#*" it says that it's not archives in dload...and it is (update.zip), i tried upgrade for direct access (Volumen UP + Volumen DOWN + Power Button) but it says that upgrade failed!. Help please :S

Same problem here. Currently CRR-L09C432B321 version, not rooted device, and not a company device. :crying:
I've tried these different methods to upgrade:
*#*#2846579#*#*
Installs, but nothing happened. (Updates really fast, so, I think that it is doing nothing and just skips the update).
Volumen UP + Volumen DOWN + Power Button
Upgrade crashes at 5%.
MyCare
No updates available.
Maybe I am doing some step wrong? I just format an micro sd card, create a folder named dload/ on root and paste the "update.zip" inside of it.
Thanks in advance for any help you could provide.

I think I've read here on xda that you can change your region / vendor or whatever to fit it to the right version number. But I haven't done it and I wont, I just removed root because I'm going to sell my phone (I can't stand the fact that there are absolutely no custom roms out there), and afaik you need root to change that file. Just search a bit, you will find something

Hey RonPo do you now have full marshmallow from your B177 update ? as i have read the update . zip is a incremental update and not a full update. B177 was lollipop. so please clarify for me. also the file in your link is 1.05 gb so it would suggest a full update but it says HwOUC.zip . does the file need to be extracted? is there an update . zip or update.app in there?
---------- Post added at 09:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:10 AM ----------
Would anyone be so kind as to upload that file to another mirror other than Mega? Files greater that 1gb have problems to download. i would be greatful.
Hi omniajet.
Yes from B177. Extract the HwOUCH.zip. Get the update.zip (1,113GB) and give it in the dload Folder on the intern SD.
Make a lokal update from the updateprogramm EMUI 3.1
You need a separatly Mega-Plugin for your Browser (Mozilla) for greater than 1GB-Files.
ok thank you just trying it now
So now i seem to be upto date on B361 however i have come across something very strange. my phone is originally a C900 model it came with b300 installed on it . i have since sucessfully upgraded to c432b145, and C432b177 but everytime i go to any sort of marshmallow, it reverts to C900. I rolled back to B300 two times the first i upgraded all the way back to B177 and it was fine showing C432 but when i attempted to put B321 on it. it showed C900b321 on it although i downloaded C432B321.
Now i have again rolled back and upgraded to B177 and now i am showing C900B361. very strange but i will see how i get on with this. thanks for all your help.
PS i used opera for windows to downlaod the mega file hassel free. chrome and the mozilla plugin did not work
You are welcome!
Build number
Does anyone else have the build CRR-L09C469B120? Also does anyone know the region this build is for? Can's seem to find the build number anywhere. sigh
Which countries apart from Germany got OTA update from B321 to B361 so far?

Hi, I followed the steps of ther firmware finder method to upgrade my p9 plus vie l09 c432 b181 to nougat.
I installed the full version of 2.2gb but now there are many problems.. No bluetooth no huawei apps like clock, smart remote, UPDATER, calendar etc...
I tried to roll back to Marshmallow and emui 4.1 but no way... I download it, put in dload pover on volume up and down but it fails says no supported device.
Now I'm stuck on the build called NRD90M test-keys and I've no idea now how to roll back or make my phone useful again.
Thanks to everyone
PS: No updater so I can't use firmware finder to update the phone anymore!

I'm not the best one to advice you because now I have my phone bricked, but not for this matter. The thing is that I managed to upgrade from NRD90M. I did it using the finnish version of the rollback package for VIE-L09. It's a three step installation: First you copy the Update.app of the rollback package (its a tiny one. 100Mb aprox) in dload folder (must create it) in the SD Card . Then you flash it using the three buttons way (Vol Up+Vol Down+PWR)
After that you must search a stock ROM for your phone version, download it and add it to the same directory in the SD Card (you must delete the update.app previously flashed) and also add to the same directory the hw and dt folders (this adds the keyboard, BT and everything missed in the NRD90M version). Search for them in the forum (search for update_data_full_EU). Flash this ones again through the three buttons way and that's it. You have update from that half version!
Obviously I'm not responsible of any problem that this make to your phone.
Good luck!

You're on the right track, @albj13
Mine was stuck on 5% as well, for a long time. I just let it be, until it rebooted it self. Had to do it twice even. I detail how I got back here.
I flashed the finnish rollback, and when rebooted to OS, the version was the right one (no longer NRD90M test-keys) - then I could rollback to the official B181. Then I followed the latest guide in this thread (the on I quote), and now I'm all good!

Thanks man, so I have to let it continue in the failed upload screen? and no pressing reboot?
no luck, if I let the phone going on appears this screen
But you can boot into the "broken" OS? If so, try factory reset from there.. I remember doing that before actually starting the rollback, unsure if it has any bearing or not

Regarding keyboard, I solved it with voice searching google for "swiftkey", it suggests swiftkey apk , then download from somewhere that hosts the .apk file
Then settings and enable install from unknown sources .. then set swiftkey as keyboard.
Your install is most likely FUBAR either way, so setting some of this up anew isnt really that big a deal? Just backup whatever you really need via titanium(if rooted) or HiSuite (if not)

Now I finally booted in b181 but my cust is now c900 no more c432... and the bootloader is locked, do you think I can upgrade to nougat as the first time also with c900?
I had the C900, but that was on Botched B360 install - and then only after the rollback file.
BUT; try placing the B360 .APP file in the dload folder on your external SD-card. Link to the files here. (my own mirror, should be decent speeds)

Hi, I have a Honor 5C. I found a guide on hihonor forum for downgrading from Nogaut to MM, everything went, but if I go in the info it says "model number hi6250" and build number "NEM-C900B151", which are not mine. How do I put the NEM-L51C432B130 ROM I had before?
dont use hihonor next time... you should have extracted uödate.aöp f4om B100 and flawh wit with 3 buttons....

try correct B100 update.app thru 3 buttons.... if this doesnt work try flashing recovery etc thru adb and then try 3 buttons. that should do it. make sure all files are correct ones, messing with recovery can lead to hard brick.

I've already tried flashing the B120 and the B130 but it does not work. The only way is to put the TWRP? And since my phone is now recognized as "hi6250" there may be problems?

Similar thing happened to me from messing about flashing different recoveries and roms. Went from c432 to c900. The only difference is that c432 is European region and c900 is global. It worked fine all the while it was showing c900 but I just put the update.app from b130 in dload folder on sd card and used 3 button method. You lose all your data but we all do backups-you too I'm sure, so no problems there.
Sent from my NEM-L51 using XDA Labs
In the next day try with unlock bootloder and TWRP. It's the only way.
Do you think this rollback Russian (screen) and then the c432, can I solve it?

i found many users that have this problem but no solution
That's even worse
I really understand your problem, I spent hours and hours finding a solution, and I managed to find it, and it's not that hard.
1. Download Firmware Finder via Google Play Store.
2. Open it, swipe to the right, and tap on settings.
3. Tap on Use proxy to install. It will ask you to download another app, go ahead and do it.
4. Now go back to Firmware Finder and tap on "Add model", and then input the model you have without the Bxxx firmware number.
5. Tap on the model number in the main menu, and select the B351 firmware that is 2.01GB in size. You will see "FullOTA-MF-PV" under it. This is crucial for the update to be successful.
6. Now tap on "Get an update through proxy"
7. Go to your WiFi settings, press and hold on your network and go to Modify
8. Now, go to Advanced Options and enter a manual proxy. The adress is "localhost" and the port is "8.8.8.8"
9. Now, go to your Updater and download the firmware as a regular update.
10. You should be good to go! If the update hangs, go ahead and delete the proxy, and the update will finish. The nice thing is that it doesn't affect your data!
Hope it helped!

For OTA, you must have a proper SIM card and WiFi connection - check in Settings/Software update do you receive OTA
Also, install latest HiSuite to PC, connect to the phone and find in HiSuite (at the bottom) an option to update.
Not sure, but also better have a valid SIM card in the phone
There are other options but first try these simplest and less intrusive ones
Ofc, supposing that phone is not rooted or TWRP installed (ie - must be the stock firmware)
Thanks...

Yes. phone is not rooted. I have tried both above ways & not getting update. So i thought to use other way ( dload) & try.
Please let me know the correct update package so i can download & push via SD card.
Is it risky to use that method...??
Also please tell me if upgrade would caused to any other issue such as battery draining issue.. If so how can i downgrade the version.?
many thanks...

You can DLOAD to L19 c185 b385 (initial Nougat), you must take FullOTA-MF-PV (PV is important) - as on the screenshot, from:
https://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=EVA-L19c185
You can also install FirmwareFinder app (from Playstore or XDA) to download from the app
Download the two files, update.zip and update_data_full_hw_meafnaf.zip, do not unzip, put into DLOAD folder on your SD card.
Phone better to be charged, switch off, disconnect USB, press and keep pressing both Vol+ and Vol-, then boot - it should start DLOAD
Boot and login to system, and check if you can receive further OTA updates
Many thanks...

If you don't receive further OTA update, you can force DLOAD up to the latestEVA-L19c185b403
Download:
https://androidhost.ru/bN4
Unzip/untar until you extract a dload folder (do not extract further) and ReleaseDoc folder.
In the latter find Software Upgrade Guide and follow it - basically, you copy dload folder to your SD card and repeat the DLOAD method

You have to download and use for DLOAD both update.zip and update_data_full_hw_meafnaf.zip (both files must be put as is into the DLOAD folder)
Some packages may even have three update***.zip files for DLOAD
Generally, judge by names, if package name shows both L09 and L19 and if you see in the filelist two files with the same names except that one contains L09 in its name, the other L19 in its name, then (for your L19) forget that with L19 in the name.
This package, as the name clearly says is for EVA-L19c185 not for some MHA, L19, c432 or else
In the OP post it was asked for EVA-L19c185
You came later, if you have different phone you have to go to the top of the page and instead of EVA-L19c185 enter EVA-L09c432 or exactly what is your model and cust (based on Settings/About)
Then press Find my model.
Only FullOTA-MF-PV packages are for DLOAD

By "flashing" do you mean DLOAD or what?
With DLOAD you cannot do rebranding by going from eg c185 to c432 or so - for that Bootloader must be unlocked and other methods used
What is exactly the full EMUI name and number, best please attach screenshot from Settings/About.
And what do you want to install
If you just want to update to the latest for your model and cust, did first try OTA (both SiM and WiFi must be on), and did you try updating by HiSuite (in the app on the PC find in the bottom Install or Update, not sure how is it named)

With c900 there are no OTAs (maybe) and no FullOTA-MF-PV firmwares for DLOAD
Going to different cXXX means rebranding and requires the unlocked Bootloader
I don't see firmwares for EVA-L09c555, only for c55.
But from the other post you tried to download L09GBRc555 - frankly, I don't know what's that (3UK H3G?)
Probably rebranding to c432 would be the best choice (with unlocked Bootloader but not with simple DLOAD - it would brick the phone)

The folks at telegram told me to testpoint my phone and flash board firmware and flash oeminfo using that, and im gonna use it so i can rebrand to EVA-AL10 so i can have emui 8, i used board firmware before since i hard bricked my p9 before
Hello everyone, after 4 months of hard work, I FINALLY found a way to update EMUI 10 to EMUI 11, then EMUI 12 if you want. And all this without Harmony TP cable, recovery or NM card!
Before starting, I want to clarify that I AM NOT a developer, just someone who focused on my P40 pro stuck on EMUI 10.1.0.176. I accept no responsibility if you have any problems with your phone.
I would also like to point out that I did this with a P40 Pro 5G under EMUI 10.1.0.176 (C432E8R6P1) and that I reverted to the latest version of EMUI 12, of which I forgot the build number, but it ended with " C432E3R6P4".
Good, we can start the tutorial.
To start, you only need an OTG adapter and an NTFS-formatted storage device, and to charge your phone to 100% (this is a tip). I don't know if it works with an NM Card (given the price, I couldn't buy one but I think it can work).
If your phone cannot detect your storage device, try another USB key or hard drive. I had to test 3 different ones to achieve my goals.
Step 1: Place the DLOAD file of an emui version 11 as if you were going to update via the DLOAD method, then start your phone in recovery mode. (note that if your version is for example "E8R6P1", you should put an "R6" dload file. If your version is "E7R5P1", put a "R5" dload file. (i use google translate lol i'm sorry))
Step 2: From recovery mode, go to "Update Mode", then select OTG method.
Step 3: Wait a bit. If your update is stuck at 0%, do nothing. you are on the good road. If you have an error message, try with another firmware. The operation is very long, that's why I went to bed until something happened (I used this technique twice, it worked)
Step 4: When you wake up, put your phone to charge since it will obviously run out of battery. It will turn on by itself, then you will see a system error message. DON'T PANIC, you are still on the right track.
Step 5: Once charged enough (20-30% is enough), unplug your phone and turn it off completely. Turn it back on in recovery mode, and redo the DLOAD manipulation. this time, your phone will start with emui 11 and all the inconveniences of the downgrade will have disappeared. however, OTA updates will only go to the latest version of emui 11, but you can upgrade to emui 12 with hisuite proxy.
And here is how I managed to fix my phone. Hope this has helped some!
1. The procedure is not new. Have you seen this chart?

2. It is not valid for all bad downgrades or all received errors.
3. Not all the time, after the downgrade can be used OTG.
4. If it is working to use OTG it is working to use (100%) NM card also.
5. If you installed GMS , after you upgrade with DLOAD you will lose GMS.
There are many variables. That is why it is hard to make a 100% accurate guide.
At the end: keep going. Nice job.

I dont see that. I just see as in the attached pic. Maybe i need to create an account there? Anyway i have the files now hopefully. Thank you for your help.
My p40 pro seems bricked. It wont boot. When turned on, goes stratight to recovery. I tried to recover online, it shows that it was downloading 10.1.0.176 (c432E8R5P2). After the download, it shows Software install failed!
I have tried to use different versions of 10.1.0xx to make the phone work, still no luck. Then I tried a version of version 11, which eventually loaded 100%, then it rebooted but phone turns off (meaning that it does not reboot on its own.). I have to turn phone on manually and it still goes back to recovery.
I tried version 12, it completely and instead of it to reboot, it turns phone off.
I used OTG for all of this.
Currently, phone is off. Cant use.
Please kindly help.
If there is a better/custom firmware out there that can revive the phone, please help me.
Thank you.
