Fair enough. Search and share your findings and we can confirm if the methods are correct or not.
if you have a N950F/N with an exynos8895,it's okay to use methods like https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/rooter-mode-sm-n950f-fd-oreo-t3768106
if you have a Snapdragon one, sorry for that,no root for now.
and try to share your findings with search so we can discuss if they are right or wrong,
we all have a $800 device~(and it's really worthy).

sorry I dont use fb.For callrecords and sms etc, samsung cloud is enough.
For app data, try Helium Backup,it didnt need root, uses adb instead.
For photos, just use Google Album, its quite good.

Hi!
I bought the Z1, and I do not regret it. Some bug screen, and other small stuff but good
I just talk to you because I am a beginner in android and I do not know what to do for my rooter device. So, I have already been able to untap the overlay of my operator. Now I am. 136 non-root and I realize that many things are accessible via root.
I would like, if you have time, kindness and patience, give me a little tutorial to be root in .136. While I've seen some stuff about that, but there was loss :/ IMEI and since jesuis beginner to android I'm afraid to do something stupid ...
So a little tutorial step by step, with a link to dwnld each time would be great!
I just ask for help ^ ^
Ps: sorry for my broken English.
Kisses! : D

Just make sure that you follow all of the steps. If anything goes wrong you can revive the phone by flashing an Ftf of the firmware.

There is software called Helium that does exactly what you are looking for:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup
I have not used it so make sure that it works for you before you begin the rooting process. Good luck

Thanks. Will try it out now and let you know.
Just need to backup important stuff so i can easily restore after rooting. I actually wanna unlock bl and install beanstalk . Twas the best rom i used on my xperia pro b4 it got stolen :crying:
Update:
I used Helium to backup my data and managed to restore everything back to rooted 4.3. It wouldn't restore my messaging and user dictionary data to beanstalk though (4.4) so went back to stock 4.3 with root. Thanks again for the help
Ps. I found this just now, it may help someone in future: www titaniumtrack com/kb/titanium-backup-kb/titanium-backup-howtos.html
NOTE : I DON'T ENCOURAGE YOU TO TRY THIS WAYS AS I HAVEN'T TRIED IT BY MYSELF AND IT WILL NOT WORK OR BRICK YOUR PHONE!
SAID THIS, I DON'T TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY!
First of all, I already know that trying Kingroot or similar apps is no solution at all!
I JUST POST THIS FOR:
-THOSE WHO FEEL CRAZY
-THOSE WHO DON'T USE THE P8 LITE AS A DAILY DRIVER
-THOSE WHO LIKE TO PLAY WITH FIRE
-THOSE WHO HAVE GOOD KNOWLEDGE ABOUT UNBRICKING ANG GETTING OUT OF BOOTLOOPS.
The site is a chinese one and it has a collection of apps - (--LINK REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASONS--) .
ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET OUT OF A BRICK OR BOOTLOOP !!!
So... you just posted this on XDA because you know somebody was stupid enough to test it?

It's your second 'new metod' that will probably 'just' install malware on a computer and root your phone with activating hidden ssh server. Please don't look for something like this anymore because someone could do a harm for her/himself and there are ways to root it by known and secure methods.

Ok I'm sorry for this!
But the truth is that I am not being just lazy to go with the working way, but I was hoping to avoid unlocking the bootloader because of the often irreversible consequences, and the complexity of it.
Sorry again!
And I will delete the post if you want.

Hopefully now that we got our own set of threads, someone will find root....
Any root methods posted for the SM-J327T will also work for the SM-J327T1 since they are the same exact device. But anyone from the previous thread that was under Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) please continue posting on this new thread. I have requested that a moderator move the old thread to here to avoid any confusion from new people looking for a root method for this device.
I would totally help build a rom for this device, that is once we can root it. However i don't think ill ever be purchasing another samsung again.

Same here, im going back to Motorola.
Any old unlocked phones? DeviceManagement if so pm me about them. Im stuck on metro. Not sure for how much longer though. And I don't know why they insist on locking us out of OUR phones. It is a pain, such a pain. And the reason i even got this phone is to fix my service issues. However they are just as bad.

This will trip knox and void your warranty you have been warned. Feel free to test the device with the corresponding file. it may work it may not. if it does not work it will say secure check fail and prevent you from booting into android or recovery. if that is the case use the stock rom file for your phone to fix it. I will compile a quick fix that will not delete all your apps in a little bit. after that i will post the files you can use so you can recover from a brick.

i am not totally sure that its unlocked. our device has a exynos chipset and for some reason it is locked. but i am starting to think that samsung messed up some code so even if your flashing something knox wont trip for some reason. but if anyone has the money feel free to test the international version that will be the only way to know for sure.

Hey bud , unfortunately if you have oreo u cannot update. There are many apps you can try yourself like kingroot. But there is not possivle way of rooting it unless u get into hacking your phone , then i recommend going by this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g6/help/starting-scratch-t3837452
Other than that i there is no way to root,at least not yet.

If you have an H872, then all you have to do is follow this. Read it several times to make sure you understand, and Google videos if needed to make sure you understand. @pena020563 gave you the answer you need, albeit in a cryptic manner - his link will eventually take you to the link I supplied above. And I don't know why he even mentioned Kingroot. The method I am linking you to is, as far as I know, the only way to root an H872. Don't bother with anything else.
Had you looked just a little harder, you know...scrolled down a quarter of the page, you would have found the link I gave you all on your own.
Good luck!

they claim support g6, but no one ever proof it. The last time kingroot is really useful is when Android Lollipop era after Marshmallow they don't have good exploits to install root in system. Many has been patched.

what's your problem with this xda guide? I think it's simple enough but you have to carefully understand what you have to do (just read carefully). If you don't want to leave windows you can use virtual machine (which I believe is more complicated to setup and need more PC resources).
