Hi there!
I just got my Dev Phone 1. Charging it now.. Now, I have a gmail account I use quite a bit, but all my email accounts (including my gmail) forward to another email account. I read somewhere that you wont get notifications and such when new email arrives on your non-gmail account as you do with your gmail account. Any way to fix this in order to use the G1 best as possible with a non-gmail email?
Secondly, how do I recieve updates to Android? Is there an update feature, or are there no updates as of yet? (And have to wait for Cupcake)
Thank you!
Not sure about other than Gmail accounts but you should get prompted about a over the air upadate.
Ota updates are kind of unreliable, i didnt get rc30 update till it had been out for 2 weeks, others get them right away. Check the developement section plenty of updates floating around in there.
Hey guys
Wondering if anyone can help me out. Running CM6 on my N1 and finding that I get constant email notifications on my Exchange email accounts. If I really receive 5 emails I get at least 3 sound notifications instead of just one for new mail.
The Gmail account has a setting for 'Notify once' to only notify on first new email instead of each, but this setting doesn't appear to be available for Exchange email accounts in the stock mail app.
Does anyone have a solution/ideas?
Thanks.
Nobody else?
Maybe i'm the only one with this problem...?
Hi all fellow HTC One owners,
I absolutely LOVE my HTC One, however there is one thing i am really missing.
I have set up all my emails on the HTC Mail app, Yahoo, Live, etc .
However I am unable to add my Gmail account as an exchange account so that i can get push notifications for it. to my understanding thats down to google being an idiot and removin that feature.
Now, I wanted to know if there is a fix or workaround for that? or do we just have to use the Gmail app?
im sure many others would appreciate some clarification as well.
Thanks
Hi, I just made a quick test and it takes 10 seconds to recieve my gmail message sent from my Blackberry. So I think GMAIL works like a push mail. Do have any issues or lates to think you have problem with your mail ?
CHEERS
I'm not receiving new emails on the stock email app. I'm using the stock because Im also using Yahoo business email and Gmail as my personal at the same time. for me to see my new emails I have to open the app and click on refresh every time. can anyone tell me how to turn on push notifications that tells me when I receive new emails?
can anyone tell me if it's possible that I'm getting this problem because I have push notifications for both my emails on my iPad? I don't want to have to sign out of my email accounts on my ipad.
My Nexus 6 gmail emails are not showing as they come in. The account is synced but I am having to pull down in the inbox to get it to refresh and get emails. This is causing me to get emails late. Is this a lollipop problem??
Tried deleting the gmail account in Nexus 6 and reading the account with same results.
I am testing now in my ONe Plus One phone which is on kitkat with no issues and all emails coming in on time and showing notifications.
Exactly same problem I'm also facing..

Did you at any point install Inbox and used it to turn off notification from gmail?
Over the last few days, I've been having sporadic problems with inbox as well.
Easiest/best solution is to enable IMAP and SMTP on your gmail account, and use k9mail instead of gmail application.
I had uninstalled inbox but just reinstalled and gmail notifications are on. Uninstalled inbox again and only using gmail. Using my OPO till figure out issue. Can not be missing emails.
Thanks,
