Can you check if it is under Settings/ Apps?
Go to Settings/ Apps, click the 3 dot menu and select Show System Apps.
Scroll down to Google Play Store, select it and check if it is disabled for some reason

What about Google Play Services? That should be under that same category.
What firmware did you flash? And what model do you have?

I am having an issue/annoyance with updating apps through the new google play apk; it seems that since updating to the new apk, my apps no longer update simultaneously. Previously on the original android market, I could have multiple apps downloading/updating at the same time with no problem, however now that I have gone to Google Play, they will only download/update one at a time. Is there a way to fix this problem?
Thanks
You may want to try going to settings - applications, then looking for the Play Store app. Open its listing, and choose "clear data". Then go back and open the store again. It should correct itself and allow multi-updating.
r u into gruppen kex? Why do u need to simultaneously download apps? Give that single core CPU a rest!

In that same place, try uninstalling updates and letting google play pick up the updates again. That may help.
So I got this little msg display on my phone today. Been trying to listen to iHeartRadio and it kept disconnecting. After I rebooted my N6, a msg popped up saying I will need Google Play Services, which apparently is not installed on my phone, in order to continue using apps. I have it installed and up to date. Anyone else experience this?

Whenever an app asks for an update I am linked to the Xiaomi app store instead of the Google play store.
I am on China's 5.9.17 developer ROM.
Anyway to solve it?

Settings>System Apps>App Store
Go there & disable notifications and automatic updates.
I had already done that, everything was unchecked except "delete package" which I unchecked now.
For example if I di a research in chrome and that some of the results are app, I am linked to Xiaomi app store.
Don't think there is actually a way to go around it as it is a Chinese ROM because global one hasn't been released and there is no option to change the default App Store
That's what I thought although I was hopeful there was a kind of tweak
I 'heard' that using an app to freeze the store would work.
Caution: deleting the mi store will lead to FC and problems.
yes, you have to freeze the application but do not uninstall it.

Change language is the trick. Worked flawless! Thank you.
Anyway to do this with some Xiaomi apps, like Music, Videos, etc? I'm thinking to root to disable them, and to install a 3rd part locator on system partition, because "Locate My Device" don't activate my SIM card.

I'm going to try this option; the other option in the first post requires you log in your ggogle account and I do not have one - this requirement should be added to 1st post.
[EDIT] Disable is still greyed-out... (root required?)

That's what it says for me as well, in my poco f1 though. Have you figured something out?
Hello, I manually installed an app apk from the developers website. The app is also on the play store, but was curious how this works.
How did google play know I stalled the app? How was the app updated without downloading it through the plays for? Is Google Play constantly scanning my phone?
Thanks!

If you didn't turn off auto update in Play settings then Google Play will update apps on its own.

Correct. I turned it off afterwards. But how did Google Play know I even had the app? I installed it manually via APK transfer from PC.

I do. I don't install many apps from other places except Apkmirror and Google is probably spying on me already. LOL spying on my phone would be one of the most boring jobs ever.
