Hello,
I get error 7 - Failed to mount '/system' while flashing any latest rom. If any rom gets flashed it reboots to fastboot instead of system. I even tried different Twrp versions, still same error.

Yes the issue got resolved, I flashed latest Miui from fastboot.

Thanks for the feedback. That is a necessary prerequisite for merging the two separate /system partitions which isn't supported anymore.

Yes you explained it very well.
P.S - Now Im facing a strange problem in Aosp extended latest build. I'm getting full network, but the 3g mobile data keeps on loosing connection. Now I'm unable to identify whether its ROM issue or Telecom company issue.
Can you help me in this too ?

Make sure the APN settings from your service provider are correct on the rom.

Yes I'm using the default APN. Once in a while, I get good speed as earlier with some data packet. Else the speed is sluggish with most of the packets

After installing new rom
[ROM/KERNEL][GSM] ♫ Overcome ROM v1.3.0 ♫ Overcome Kernel v2.0.1 ♫ 3/17/2011 i dont have internet icon and it doesnt work, but calls, sms and internet by wifi works well. I dont know what to do! Give me some advices please!!!!!!

are you sure the APN settings are the same like was before? sometimes the new rom doesn't come with the APN stock working, and has to be changed according with carrier settings... better reset your settings, configure again, save them and reboot your tab !

no problem man, but remember, if you install Market Enabler......you'll have the same problem....during faking the the chosen provider in order to attend to paid application, all APN it will dissapear from settings, and it will work ONLY the internet one; for MMS will stop working. you'll have to reboot your Tab in order to restore again the functionality of APNs

the problem can be solved by buying new simcard, or just take somebodies to see if this will work.

I opened that view and found out I had the same error. Unchecking and checking the box worked for me.

Not for me. But deleted and re-added my Google account worked.
I have the same problem since yesterday. I'm running CM11. Have tried everything even updating the play store, clearing caches account etc.. Will try flashing fresh ROM and gapps tonight.

Official the newest nightly 06-15. But haven't flashed gapps for a while only updated CM11.

Cyanogen team work officialy for huashan version ?!
It's maybe a bug of this version. Nightlies is unstable. ^^

I believe its the playstore not CM11 itself, read on the internet that there are more people with the same problem. Don't know for sure, will try clean install because right now I even can't update all my apps. Will get an error.

I had the same issue, changed to xiaomi eu rom, the issue is gone and have no problem with it whatsoever

I think its got to do with either your theme or if your using launcher. My notifications were this way with the action launcher.
10th May - I can confirm its due to theme. Choose them wisely.
Hi, I have the same problem and have tried several themes, I'm pretty sure none of them corrected it. I'm on MIUI Global 7.2.4.0 Stable (can't change the ROM yet, but I will as soon as I can).

The problem isn't related with a theme. Apparently i bought the Mi5 with a non official ROM.
Solution: I've unlocked my bootloader and flashed a different ROM form xiaomi.eu. Problem Solved!

That is a weird custom rom mate. Just install some official or xiaomi.eu rom, then you should be fine.

My friend I think the seller modified my rom. If I will flash the stock rom I will get in to bootloop....
Please is there any guide how to do everything safely?

I believe that for something like that You need unlocked bootloader and flash Fastboot version of the ROM, not Recovery or OTA version.
This mi9 is not my personal phone (company phone) so I can't unlock the bootloader or install ROM's
Due to my job I use the phone outside and the automatic brightness is crazy sometimes
With previous MIUI version all was good

Then all you can do is wait for the next version while hoping the issue has been fixed, of course you should report it as well using the feedback app. There's a chance that you're the only one experiencing the issue or there could be more but none reports it, hence the developers have no idea it happens.

Then maybe just try to reset (erase cache and user data) Settings.apk?! Maybe this will help You and by this procedure Your personal data on this phone is not in any kind of a danger.
