I am curious about what you offering here ? Is this the most recent firmware ? I thought that was G965FXXS1ARD1 for the S9 Plus? But maybe I am mistaken? Are these to be flashed in Odin or in TWRP ? You really don't give much information here, wonder if you would mind providing more details about these roms????
Still curious what these files are - you have not provided any details about the firmware (I assume it is firmware) - to be honest, it would be a very good idea to offer some explanation for what these files are for - and maybe provide instructions for how to use them - I don't need the instructions but I am sure there are others who are a little new to this that might.
Not trying to be nit picky, but I think this would help make this a much more useful thing -

These are factory binary roms / roms used for testing
And they're usually used to achieve root but the bootloader doesn't have Samfail working.
Thank you - far be it from me to tell you your business, but it seems to me that a paragraph in the OP - a sentance or two like you just wrote for me describing what this thread is for would be a good idea. Just a thought. Good Luck and thanks for your work.

MultiSystem is a powerful tool and can perform potentially dangerous and/or destructive operations on your device and data that may affect your life. While it is unlikely to do irreversable damage to your device, it is not impossible, and you should proceed with caution. Loss of data and/or the need to re-flash a full stock (manufacturer-supplied) firmware IMGs (usually requiring a computer) is always a possibility, and is increasingly likely if you do not know what you are doing. It is possible to lose root access when using MultiSystem on locked-bootloader devices running unexpoitable (bu rooted) Android firmware, without careful reading of documentation or following the instructions. Please consult with expert users before performing actions you do not comprehend.

I think I've just put in an hour reading the Q&A, but I still have one outstanding question.
my s4 is still on the MF9 bl (4.2.2 non-knox) running 4.3.1 (MJ4?) kernel+modem
I have tried 4.4.2 (NG2) kernel+modem but it was not compatible with the bootloader (4.2.2, MF9)
in theory, if the MJ4 & NG2 firmware were compatible, could this bypass the bootloader incompatibility?

Only if someone created a patched kernel that fixes the bootloader issues. For example, Note 4 DevED has brightness issues on LP b/c of the KK bootloader. These isuues have been fixed by patching the LP kernel.
MultiSystem v1.3
Download the latest version from the main development thread!
Simple One-Click Installation
I've fixed the installation script by setting the required symlinks (this makes it a very simple one-click installation for future versions), but I'll keep it a bit complicated for everyone to go through the Q&A thread (posts #1-6) to learn more before being able to use it.
On a side Note, I'd recommend to backup your data via TitaniumBackup & only wipe system data before rebooting to a completely different ROM.
Good luck!

It's quite slow with Samsung hardware : Exynos is not as developers friendly as Snapdragon
The galaxy S8 released like 8 months ago and there is still no fully functionnal AOSP ROM for it.
So yeah, it will come, but we'll have to be patient

There's actually no developpement for Galaxy Tab S8 serie. The hardware is pretty new and Samsung doesn't help users to dives into his hardware...
If you want to try roms, you can still install TWRP and try GSI.
About Linux, except using Termux, you can't do anything since the Kernel is locked and there's no way (yet) to enable KVM on snapdragon devices...

GSI (Generic System Image) is a kind of rom that (should) work on any Treble enabled device (aka almost any device that come with Android 11 and up).
However, on Samsung devices, most of hardware relies on proprietary drivers (like camera or spen...), so you should'nt expect them to work good as using Samsung firmware
There is not custom roms almost to none Samsung device any more. Samsung is trying to become Apple. Locking every device with many ways. Only root there is, and this more difficult every year. Unfortunately Samsung is still creating the best hardware , and good software, so there isn't very easy to go to another company for the most users..
