Strange Problem with GApps - Xiaomi Redmi 4X Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
When i install rr-os 6.0 i can boot, after that i installed freshly downloaded opengapps for 8.1 arm64 without wiping data and i cant add a Google account. But when i wipe the data partition in twrp its just bootlooping and isnt detected by adb. Tried reflashing hole rom with gapps again, tried formatting /data, also tried mindthegapps, but no luck.
Any other things i could try?

sideloading rom crashes during installation

I decided to wipe everything including my internal sd card so i have a fresh start. So i wipe data, wipe delvik, wipe cache, and wiped sdcard. But when I sideload and install Android Revolution 30.0 it crashes at the beginning of the installation process.
I need help figuring this out. I tried googling it nothing came up.
Did you check if it is not a corrupt download?
Do you have Win8 (8.1) - connectivity issues?
I sideloaded ARHD 30 on latest TWRP 2.6.3.0 and it installed without issues.
Download is not corrupted i even tried to install the old version i was using and it's doing the same thing.
And I am still on Windows 7.
Now in CWM Recovery when i try wiping data, it crashes too.

Figured it out, For some reason i can install the rom with no options selected.

Cannot remove old gapps package after switching to android 5.1 omni rom nightly

I have an asus tf300t. I managed to update from the final version of omni rom with android 4.4 to the latest nightly (8/27/2015) but the gapps package for android 4.4 (full) is still flashed. I downloaded the gapps package for android 5.1 (full), and then wiped the system partition and reflashed the rom in twrp. (I did not wipe the data partition and internal storage.) After that I tried to flash the new gapps package but there was "insufficient storage in system partition." I rebooted the tablet and the old gapps package was still on it. How can I remove it without wiping the data partition and internal storage?

That's odd. Merely flashing the 5.1 Omni build should have cleared out all backuptool items.
Note that downloaded upgrades of any item in the system will remain in /data - although usually upgrades for system apps get wiped when you remove the app from /system
I flashed a smaller gapps package that worked. I know it had play services and the play store because they're both working again. (I can browse the play store but i cant download stuff.) The ones that probably weren't in the package such as Gmail and play music still don't work and are crashing all the time. Is there a way I can fix all this?

Uninstall them in the Apps section under Settings, then redownload them. Also you might need to clear data for Google Play Services and Play Store.

Lineage os 14.1 nougat 7.1.1 ROM storage issue

I'm having an with the phone storage. I have 12.74gb of system data which means I can only install an app without the storage error (some functions may work). I have factory reset, reinstalled the 14.1 ROM, formatted the /system partition, cleaned to install a new ROM, cleared both the cache and the dalvik cache, all in CWM. For some reason I think the 10.1 CM ROM I previously had is still on there, even after doing the above mentioned. Could anyone suggest some steps to resolve the issue please?
Install twrp recovery and Before flashing wipe data, cache, dalvikcache and flash zip file and then reboot

How to encrypt Nexus 6 7.1.1 Build N6F27M

I have an Nexus 6 Version 7.1.1. The complete Storage is crypted. So it is not possible to wipe the data and system by using TWRP. I did an factory reset but after that the storage also was crypted. How can I encrypt these Version of Nexus 6?
I believe that the stock rom forces encryption.
Use TWRP's format data to remove encryption if you want to install a recent custom rom. Of course, you'll lose all your files by doing that.
