Hello. I'm a little baffled by this one. Basically my Note 8 keeps downloading the same podcast audio file over, and over again maybe 3 times a day. I'm not into downloading much of anything RSS or media related, and downloaded a few episodes of this podcast using the Samsung browser months ago when I had a Note 5. This issue started a few weeks ago when I got a Note 8.
This is what I tried so far:
Wiped/format my old Note 5.
Wipe/format my Note 8
Deleted cloud data for both gmail accounts, and Samsung account used on phone phones at one point.
Deleted all phone backups (if any), created by gmail account, and Samsung account
Wiped cache, data, force stop, disallow background data for Samsung Download Manager
Disabled Samsung browser altogether, and use Chrome instead.
But no matter what, it keeps downloading this podcast file somehow.
Any tips?
Please help =[
Hello, I resolved this. It was an app called Tunein Radio, that came with an "Auto Download" option ticked on within its settings.

[Q] Google account sync error - "Sync is currently experiencing problems..."
Hi guys,
I'm having issues with my Google account sync.
Google Play Music is causing my account to have a sync error.
I get the error message:
Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.

And there is a sync icon with an exclamation point (!) by Google Play Music, when I press into my Google Account in Settings.
It's been like this for a few days now and I feel it's affecting my battery life, as the failed sync re-tries again and again.
Some forums have suggested disabling 2-step verification, removing the Google account and then adding it back, clearing app cache, etc.
I've done it all with no success.
For what it's worth, if I un-check the Google Play Music sync box and run the "Sync Now," sync all, their are no errors and the UI shows a successful sync icon.
I'm not sure what's going on here.
Thanks,
-Donnie

Try removing your Google account and then add it back. That sometimes fixes it.

I just came across your post from a Google search and thought I would post my solution. This literally happened to me today out of nowhere(never had a problem before) and it totally stumped and frustrated me to no end. I tried cache reset, factory reset, all that bulls**t and it didn't work.
This is how I finally got sync to work:
>>login into your Google account from a web browser eg: google.com, play.google.com, wherever
>>in the upper right corner go to where it shows your profile info, click on your picture, and click Account
>>on the next screen click Security
>>where it says Account Permissions click View All
>>you have 2 choices: you can revoke access on everything you see or just extra devices. Personally, I had 4 Droid DNA's and 4 Nexus 7's listed from where I've done factory resets or ROM installs and I had to reauthorize my Google account. All I did was revoke access for the ones that said "no activity in the past 60 days". Within seconds Google Play was already auto-updating apps on my phone, I couldn't believe it.
This may not work for you but it's how I got it to work. Good luck.
Google looks to be having issues today so I would bet that's the problem

I disabled the Samsung Account app yesterday and then realized today that the Theme Store wasn't updating, nor could I download new themes. So I re-enabled it but I still am unable to download themes or even add a Samsung account from the Accounts page in Settings. I also found this thread documenting the same problem.
Any solutions, other than a Factory Reset?
Googling your problem leads me to believe that a factory reset might be the only solution. AoN

I have exactly the same problem. Now there is Dark Theme in Theme Store and I can't download it! :crying:
I've enabled all disabled app, but still can't add or activate Samsung account. Do you think they make it to be so for a reason?
Please someone help! Factory reset is the last option here.

There's no easy solution that I've found. The simplest is to just do a Factory Reset, which really wasn't nearly as painful with Lollipop as I expected. I just backed up my Pictures, DCIM, and Downloads folder to my computer, backed up my texts with SMS Backup & Restore, and factory reset, using the new app device restore function when you set it up again.
Guys, i have the same issue. Did several full wipes/factory reset but still i'm unable to login with samsung account, it does nothing when i try to add the account.
- after i do a full factory reset i don't even get the Samsung account popup at first boot. After i put in the google account and try adding the samsung account manually it just does nothing and goes back to the previous screen. Everything related to samsung account is not functional.
I've had the phone for just a few days, bought as new, and i can't use this! I think i'll send it back for warranty, as it's really annoying!
Tried deleting my old samsung account/recreating it, but same issue.

Had the same problem, more specifically: reactivation lock was on (but greyed out), Samsung account was missing in the active accounts list, but trying to add it did nothing, just returned to the active accounts list screen. Also unable to sign-in to Gear apps, etc.
I solved it this way, no factory resed needed (Note 4, latest stock FW):
Went to backup & reset
Choose "factory data reset"
Tapped "reset device"
Entered backup password (don't know if it makes any difference, but I used the password from my Samsung account)
Then it asked me to login to Samsung account, which I did.
Cancelled the "reset wizard"
voila!
I didn't perform factory reset, but the Samsung account is now back in active acounts list and i'm able to use GearApps and other stuff that depends on it.
Also able to control reactivation lock.
Good luck!
The factory reset menu does indeed allow you to add your Samsung Account back in! Good catch...
MarsRover that finally worked for me too. Thanks!
Btw, the problem started after I changed the email address for my Samsung account on their website. Within moments I received a ghost notice on my phone saying 'this account is no longer valid, please log in somethingsomething..'
I want to download themes on my themes store on my sumsung galaxy s6 but the feedback is my sumsung account is disabled so l should go to enable it on application manager to add sumsung account but l see no sumsung account on my application manager to add please any help am stressed out
I hate this app but I'm stuck using it cause that where the off screen notes save to.
Anytime I create a new off screen note, a notification comes up saying couldn't sync to Samsung Cloud. I can silence the notification but it shows in the app too & is annoying. Any way to disable that?
I have all cloud services disabled as far as I know but doesn't matter as it seems it's the app that is the issue.
Why couldn't Samsung have just stuck with the good ol' Snote!

All good, but thanks. Yes I did finally figure it out. It was a permission issues that was causing that message & would have caused a sync issue as well if I was using sync. I originally only had storage granted for permissions. Granting contacts & phone fixed the issue like you said.
I prefer not not sync my notes. Samsung currently has no way of deleting the sync'd notes off their cloud through a webpage. You need to use the original device that was sync'd to delete anything notes saved in their cloud. Had to find my note Note II & fire it up to delete the sync'd notes saved on the cloud.
While, I'm here anyone know the location of the saved notes for Samsung Notes on the Note 8? It doesn't seem to save to internal storage like the old Snotes did. I think it's somwhere /data/data/com.samsung.android.app.notes but I can't figure it out. I currently only have 2 notes but in those folders nothing matches up.
I'm not sure if this is Note 8 related, Samsung related, or an Android-wide Google issue, but figured I'd start here.
I have a Verizon branded Note 8 that I'm using on T-Mo. I just bought the device Monday from an individual. I flashed the T-Mobile firmware and everything seemed to be working fine, until I noticed not all my contacts synced from Google. I'd say probably 75% of them synced, but I was missing a large random chunk of them.
I tried everything I read to resolve the issue. Deleted and re-added my Google account. Cleared the contacts app data/cache. Rebooted. Downloaded Contact Sync Fix. Nothing fixed it. I evwn downloaded Google Contacts, and they wouldbt all sync. I checked my Google contacts online and they're all there. If I ADD a contact to my Note 8, it syncs to my Google account.
I checked my S8+ and tried to re-sync my contacts on that device, and it keeps giving the "Sync is having issues..." message. I don't get that message on my Note 8, but obviously it isn't syncing properly.
I did a factory reset. That didn't fix it. I flashed the unlocked firmware, that didn't fix it. I set rhe phone back up, and I noticed issue #2. I suddenly lost the ability to customize my Google search bar. It wasn't a big deal at first. I usually have to wait for the app to update after setting the phone back up, and sometimes have to delete and add the search bar widget back. But no matter what I try, it won't work.
I factory reset again and flashed back to the T-Mo firmware. I didn't restore ANYTHING and set it all up from scratch as a new device. Still those two issues remain. I'm bone stock, not rooted, stock Touchwiz launcher, using all the stock Samsung apps. My work around is all my contacts were synced with my Samsung account, and they synced to my Note 8 just fine, but I want my Google Account contacts to sync properly. The search bar will just stay white I guess.
TL;DR:
1. Google contacts not syncing properly.
2. Google search bar widget no longer customizable.
google related problem.

Your link says page not found, but I finally got it working properly after you responded. I couldn't get it to Sync properly at first. It took me deleting my Google Account, turning off Samsung Contacts Sync, deleting all the contacts from my phone, force stopping the contacts app and clearing it's data. Then I rebooted, added my Google account and let it all Sync again. Low and behold, all my contacts have now synced properly.
My Google search bar widget has still lost its ability to be customised however. Which sucks, because I like a dark theme and it was awesome setting the bar to Black and transparent.
Hi I have big problems with my p20 pro. If I want to delete one item of a series schedule, the item is still there. If I look on the Desktop in Google calendar, the item is gone. Funny is, that items that I have delete long ago in series schedules are back again.
I've try everything, Factory reset, Clearing calendar cache, installing different apps. The problem is the same. Does anybody else have this problems? On my old Samsung or Iphone devices everything is working.
I thing, by deleting an item, google is putting a flag and Huawei doesn't know this flag
Thx for your answers
