Bootleggers ROM is an aftermarket firmware based on Ground Zero Open Source Project (GZOSP) and brings custom features with the most useful apps on your device, with the goal of "Making you feel like 家".
Using the stability and compatibility of GZOSP, this ROM is also packed with some custom wallpaper (Dawn by fxckingdeathwish), ringtones, and fonts, to bring to your device into a more fresh look, also with a selection of apps, header packs and wallpapers (on ShishuWalls app).

Installation
- Download the latest build of Bootleggers
- Take a Nandroid Backup in TWRP
- Flash ROM using TWRP
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik/art cache
- Reboot

I will update about battery life and performance tonight as i charged 100% in the morning.
I played many games, trust me it was best experience among all oreo ROMs. I didn't felt any multi touch issue.

Hi, flashed it a couple of days ago, works great and is very nice. No lagging for me but GPS isn't working, cannot use navigation apps like Waze or gmaps. Do you know if this is a common issue for Oreo or it's just something which needs to be fixed?

This is the best, smooth and cute rom without bugs. It became stable for ever in my phone.

on par with aex rom..

No option to slide to adjust brightness across statusbar available..
The brightness slider sometimes doesn't work..
But the rom is great, no glitches or lags at all..
way better battery backup than other oreo roms, for me it's better than aex 5.3..

Pubg not working.
I know many users don't play but still some of us play so can you please look into this issue

Yup....I am looking for a battery efficient rom for PUBGM

After rebooting a msg is displayed..
There is internal problem with your device.

Guys i want to report an issue with the rom.
Today after using 2days, the apps started crashing on after another. Reboot seemed to have solved the issue.
Also nice to haves.
1. Proximity speakerphone
2. Increasing ringer
Battery time is super sweet on this rom. See attached.

Omnijaws keep crashing in latest build. Any ideas @Sayan_tan ?

Okay issues in 29th build.
1. Omni jaws are not working.
2. Apps keep crashing randomly
3. Battery drain faster than previous build.
4. Performance seems slower now.

31st May Build is up, I suggest you to update. And the build you're using currently has no such issues, many users tested & reported me. Do a Clean flash if problem remains.

May be they didnt test hard enough
I am using this rom for daily use. Latest build from 31st seems stable. Email keeps crashing though.
performance is still an issue. degraded somehow. Early builds were super responsive.
Also, can you fix bluetooth calls ?

Bluetooth Calls will be fixed in next build. Email app is not crashing, I'm myself using it on a regular basis. And yeah, the proximity earphone thing, I'll look into it. #KeepTheBootleg

A: Bootleggers (on a context of toy bootlegs and related stuff) are the people who take an original idea or product and make their own version, obviously on a low-quality way.
Q: What does the chinese/japanese thing means? I don't get it
A: According to google (and take the meaning of this with a hundred quotation marks) it means home or family. We want you to use your phone and feel yourself comfortable, and like it, like you'll be at home.
Q: Can i make Bootleggers stuff like wallpapers, logos and stuff?
A: Of course, feel free to do it, we will love it.

Does Bootleggers rom is Chinese? Did somebody check this type of rom safety? I am confused is it really safe to use gmail and mobile banking on Chinese software? I appreciate developers work so please don't misunderstand me. I am only worried about backdoors from China totalitarian regime that could be build in.

Bootleggers ROM is an aftermarket firmware based on AOSP with some patches and fixes from LineageOS and various other projects. The idea is to bring custom features and some of the most useful apps on your device, with the goal of Making you feel like 家.
With an almost stable source, this ROM is also packed with some custom wallpapers (avaliable on ShishuWalls), ringtones, fonts, and themes to bring to your device into a more fresh look and give you always a good experience.
Also, we got our Telegram Group to talk about the ROM, share some love, ideas or even have fun with us!

oh also forgot to report that sometimes im getting kind of frame droping in ui but easily fixed by just turning the screen off and on again. overall smooth performance on gaming and multi tasking

Using this now and noticed two problems. Usb otg and brightness adjustment by sliding the status bar does not work, aside from those, it's good to have BL for this device

can not flash this rom in f2fs mode
i flash in f2fs , this rom error, i download all them rom, i flash erro in f2fs, but ini ext4 succes,
give me solution

dumb question, did you format cache and data partition to f2fs before flashing BL f2fs version?

bro, download the twrp, after install, reboot to twrp again, and flash rom

>download pitchblack recovery
>flash. img file and reboot trwp
>format data (will wipe internal. backup first)
>advanced wipe, change file system (only chace-data) to f2fs
>flash f2fs rom, kernel (if needed) then magisk. reboot

There is no way of changing refresh rate to 60 or disable pill style cutout for now.
