What do you understand by successfully?! :silly: Could you tell more about the initial situation? Would be nice to know which ROM you were coming from for example.. or if download mode is still working.

I was on Helly build from 01/10/2013. Flashed 01/14/2013. Flash was successfull. Download mode still working, but CMW not.
It seems the same problem as posted from swilly (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36825605&postcount=1403)
Flashing Semaphore 2.9.5 helped me to get my device working.

I think every ROM which can be flashed via Odin would help solving this issue.

I see you pulled yourself up by your own bootstraps :victory: any idea what caused the problem? Did you change any values like Swilly?
EDIT:

Yeah, that's why I asked him whether download mode's still working... but some people don't want to make such huge efforts and as we can see he managed to solve his prob
i did not changed any value like Swilly. Now i have a working device. I did not tried it anymore. Kind funny now i'am on Helly with Semaphore
I have a problem.
I've unlocked my bootloader and i want to install lollipop rom.
I've tried several lollipop roms, but none of them worked well on me.
ROMS that i've tried :
- BlissPop -
- AICP
-CM12.1
-Temasek
Problems:
- Sometimes i'm stuck in a screen with "starting apps" message when installing rom. the one that appeared after "installing/optimize app xx per xxx, google play service" or whatever.
- Sometimes i'm able to install the rom properly, it boots up and everything works well. The problem is, once i reboot or turn off my device, when i turned it on agan, it stuck on bootanimation (not bootloop, just bootanimation over and over without kernel logo) or stuck with "starting app" message.
What i've tried:
- relock the bootloader, restore TA, unlock bootloader again
- flash all rom stated above with default kernel
- flash all rom stated above with tangerine kernel
- flash without gapps
- flash with gapps, flash with minimal gapps
- flash stockrom -> flash custom kernel-> flash any rom above
- flash stockrom -> flash doomlord kernel v13 -> BOOTLOOP WTH?!
i've done all the steps above, and NONE of that works!
the roms always end up stuck in installation with "starting app" message or stuck in bootanimation when reboot device.
i'm quite sure that i did all steps correctly when installing rom. i've been flashing since gingerbread days, but this one make me frustrated
maybe this isn't rom problem, but my phone problem, since for other person, all roms worked well
i'll be glad if anyone know the solution :fingers-crossed:

Dont have to.... In flashtool theres just one click option to relock bootloader with further no wiping/reinstalling etc.

But won't you be stuck in a bootloop if you did that on a custom ROM?

So I tried to root and put on a custom recovery using the nexus root toolkit, since I am not very advanced at this type of stuff. But after pushing the root files to my phone from the TWRP recovery I got the message that the device is corrupt. I press the volume down button and power button to continue boot, but then the screen just goes black, and stays that way. Any advice?

I got that message before. I fixed it by going back to stock, (the message will still appear even after going back to stock) then in the stock recovery factory reset the device. Then root as usual. I dont know how you're rooting but I flash the factory reset then install the custom reocery then flash super SU beta with a custom kernel and I havent had that pop up

I think they key is the custom kernel. I was doing the stock kernel and kept getting the black screen. I will try doing a kernel that is friendly with 6.0.
Thanks for the advice, I will try to flash the stock recovery and factory reset the phone.

Maybe i just downloaded it last night and started to tinker with it
Im using Benzocore at the moment, I was using Hells-kernel on Lolipop but it seems like Benzo works 100% with Marsh. I tried another kernel that says thatll work with marshmallow but it ended up in bootloop.

Hellscore B7 works with MM 100%. Running it right now while rooted and using Layers. So I can vouch for Hells at least.
this fixes that message:

That did make the message go away, and the black screen too! Thank you so much!
Now to re-try hellscore kernel.

It appears so, it was posted just a few hours ago under their Nexus 6 section. I can't comment directly on B8 but I'm downloading to flash now.

Trying to root my Nexus 6 with Marshmallow
I installed the modified boot from Chainfire using fastboot, it succeeded, then restarted bootloader, then installed TWRP 2.8.7.1, it succeeded, then booted to TWRP and installed the 2.52 beta of SuperSU and restarted and the phone is saying the 'device is corrupted', gives me some crap URL (g.co/ABH) and doesn't start, is there any way to fix this?
Edit: sort of fixed by using Despair Kernel, however, isn't there a way to do this without installing a custom kernel?

yea, you just ignore the message, press a button, and let it boot. it has NOTHING to do with root being broken. its a message that appears, using the stock kernel, if you have unlocked your bootloader. next time dont freak out, lol :silly:
Well if that had worked I would have not said I already tried doing that...

It has happened to someone else. If you touch the system partition at all with the stock kernel you will get the warning. Only way is a modified kernel (or boot?). You can use a stock kernel that has a small mod to remove the message.
I switched to the vortex kernel mm beta and am very happy with it. No problems at all and way more responsive.

We are talking about two different things: one is the red triangle, and the other is shutting down if rooted.
In this case pressing the power key while showing the triangle is what turns the phone off. It is so if somebody else tampered with your phone to stop it from booting and messing with your stuff.
On the other hand, stopping if rooted can be avoided if you have a custom kernel with all SELinux turned off, or using Chainfires boot.img that dabbles with the security settings so the kernel is satisfied and boots. You will have the red triangle, just let it boot.
And if the red triangle troubles you then by using a modified ramdisk, it can be switched off.
I'm rooted and on a custom rom on my Z1 but I've lost all recoverys since I installed it. I've tried using the TWRP app to install and Flashify but I just get a error saying " recovery partition not found " can anyone help me at all get TWRP or some recovery on my Z1?
I've no pc at the moment so I have to try get a recovery installed using just my phone.
Thx & I really hope someone can help I'm not liking the rom I'm on at all, rather stock rooted with xposed probably some kernel too.

Which rom do you use? Probably you should shut down your phone and then press simultaneously power and volume down. Up to when you hear the second vibrate, now you should only push volume down. Then your recovery should appear

Bootloader locked or unlocked??
Remeber the more info you give less question I have to ask.
Model, rom, bootloader, root status etc
Unlocked bud
Then flash kernel image from Rashr app. Choose any stock based kernel. I like ok kernel. In the zip extract the boot image and then flash it through Rashr app from playstore. There you go kernel and recovery.
IL try now stock kernel only yea?
