I'm on Verizon, so I just got my Nexus 6 last week, and I've still been trying to get it looking and feeling like I want it to. I already unlocked and rooted it. I'm working on getting Light Flow set up, but I've been having no luck at all. I'm dealing with the finicky double-tap to wake. I know there's apps to enable the stock battery percentage, and I have done so, but what's the best way to change how the status bar looks? Is there even a way, besides a new ROM? I know Xposed isn't available/stable for 5.1 yet. The percentage is so hard to read like this, it's making me miss my Note.
The battery seems a little iffy so far, so I've been keeping an eye on it. Wakelock Detector was is telling me "Proximity Sensor Manager" has been running almost constantly. Not sure what that is exactly. Any advice or help with these or other issues from those who have had it for a long time? I'd love the help. Thanks!
I also just spent 3 or 4 hours in the car with my headset on, and the battery drained by Bluetooth says 37%. Is that normal?? Seems like an awful lot, especially considering I only made one call.
Google play services is the battery killer for me, often using more than the display does.
As for mods on stock 5.1 ROM, I would recommend maybe Franco kernel (love the color calibration and vibration intensity adjustment) and the MoDaCo modpack for some nice customizations like percentage battery and center clock just to name a few.

Is there a reason for the service to be using that much? That's kind of annoying. :-|
I've flashed ROMs before, but I'm fairly noob-ish when it comes to the rest. I'm on stock 5.1, but just unlocked and rooted, so what would I need to do to flash a kernel or a modpack? What are the pros/cons of doing so? The modpack sounds like it has a good chunk of what I'm looking for. Thanks for your response!
Well, with Franco kernel you just install his app and it will install it directly from within the app itself . . https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel.free
That is the free version of his app kernel app. It basically just does that. For all the extras his kernel does, you need to buy his paid app I believe. I am sure there are other ways to access them, but his app is worth the few bucks it costs . . https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel
As for the mod pack, you would start with installing a custom recovery. If you don't know how to do that, easiest way is download the app flashify, which will download and install twrp recovery quite easily.
The mod pack is even easier, download the 5.1 version from here . . http://www.modaco.com/page/news/_/android/mcr-modpack-for-the-nexus-5-6-and-9-r11-r1437 . . and flash in recovery. Would highly recommend creating a twrp nandroid backup before proceeding at all so you can easily fever everything you will be doing.

Awesome! Thanks for the links. For the modpack...it says near the bottom "Ensure your device is running STOCK LRX22C - use on any other ROM version will make bad things happen!". My Nexus 6 is LMY47E. That doesn't even seem close. Is it compatible with all, or only a few devices, or certain ROMs? Again, thanks for the help.
The mod pack is for stock or stock based roms. And if you download the 5.1 version you will be fine. What they are saying about the 22C build is for 5.0.1 stock, the v11 for 5.1 is what you want. I myself am on the 47E build and it works perfect.

Its probably finicky for you because Nexus 6 **DOES NOT HAVE** double-tap to wake. It has SHAKE to wake.
Which deactivates under certain conditions, like it woke from being shaken within a few seconds of this attempt without being fully brought to wake (by touching the screen). Or because the proximity sensor registers a "near" event (i.e., it thinks its in your pocket).

Why do you need to know that precisely how many "percent" the battery is at? Even if you think you know the "actual percent", you realize that it is only accurate to within about 15%? Its a rough guess no matter how you look at it. If the little battery icon is right up to the top, its full. If its close to the bottom and red, its time to charge. If its somewhere in between, its still ok.

Some crap that you installed. Uninstall it and your battery will last more normal.
Battery on this device is excellent. Low/mid use can run for THREE DAYS on a charge.

OK, for light flow to work you need the paid version. Once you have that go to settings/Device Settings and root, and check direct mode, root mode and run every command as root (you'll want to disable notifactions in supersu for this app or you'll get constant pop ups saying lie flow has been granted permissions)
Now go to notifications settings and, for each app you want the notification light, got to settings, the light tab and enable the light, scroll down and enable the mixer, check app controlled flash, select the color mix you want and for each color set the state to solid and whatever brightness level.
That should get your light working. You might want to check the "exclude from sleep mode" under each app as well.
The light works just the flash rate is somewhat random.

Just finished flashing/setting up the MCR pack. It's awesome! Exactly what I wanted. Thanks so much for recommending it. Now I need to buy the full Light Flow and Kernel flasher, and see if I can manage those.

Thanks! As soon as I get paid I'm going to buy the full one and follow your instructions. I feel like I'm inordinately excited for a flashing light.
I think all I can add to this is try some custom Roms. On stock I get about 3:30 of on screen time, on Chroma I get 5:30 or more.

I am definitely interested, but I sadly burned myself out on ROMs during my Galaxy Nexus days. Having to constantly redo settings and update nightlies and all that stuff got draining after a while. I'm really looking to just modify stock in whatever small ways I'm able to, which as of tonight has been awesome. More battery life would be helpful though. :-/

Just back up your apps and flash, you won't regret it. Do a full backup in twrp flash the Rom, if you don't like it restore your backup. Only takes minutes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for messing with the vibration settings? The vibration on my phone is so violently loud that I sometimes would prefer the notification noise over it. Not to mention that I normally love haptic feedback when I type, but on the N6 it just sounds ludicrous, like I'm literally typing on a mechanical keyboard. Will any of the kernels let me adjust intensity? I heard somewhere that Franco kernel does, but it was never confirmed. The way my Galaxy Tab S feels when I type is phenomenal...I wish I could figure out what it's set to and have everything set that way.

As far as the proximity sensor being active, my guess is that ambient display is using it
. If your concerned I would try disabling ambient display and see what happens. Again that's just a guess.

Yeah, I ended up getting it and trying it, and it's much better now, but not as smooth as I had hoped. I just set up my dad's S6 today and the tactile feel of the haptic on that thing is just...mmmmm. It seems like the motor they put in the N6 is just grossly overpowered, it even sounds weird.

Hey Folks,
got a little problem with my shamu Device
Currently im running CM12 Nightly on my Nexus 6. Mostly stock because I updatet it an hour ago. My Problem is that my Notification light is not working as it should. I can define colors for specific apps but if I get a notification, the LED isnt pulsating like it should. It stays on all the time. Is there any workaround for this problem? Maybe with Lightflow or Tasker (not into Tasker but when it´s working)
Thanks for any advices or answers
Greetings and have a nice day.
P.S.:
Nexus 6 running Cynaogenmod 12 from 2015-06-25 stock.

This is normal. You'll have to search but there are ways or ROMs that can get it to pulsate.
Isn´t there any patch or .zip file to modify this? I mean, it is also possible to flash double tap to wake for then nexus 6. Why not a pulsating LED?

Because there isn't the hardware to do it. The phone has to run a script or an app and keep the device awake in-order for it to tell the LED to turn off and turn back on via software. From what I have read, this isn't even always 100% effective, in that it will not always work properly. It also can potentially be a big drain on your battery, as the device will never be able to sleep while the LED blinks.
There is a thread here that discusses a few developers trying to figure out how to make it blink, and there was no success. There have been other threads too, but as far as I have seen there has been zero success in making it blink without an app/script or whatever it is.
Double tap to wake on the other hand was something Google put in themselves. They later removed it for the Nexus 6. The hardware is there for it to function, even though it doesn't work 100% of the time (sometimes you have to double tap twice or three times), which is probably why they removed it from the N6. I am pretty sure Google left it in for the Nexus 9. The Nexus 5 doesn't have the hardware to support it, so they don't get so lucky. There isn't a good way for the Nexus 5 to get double tap to wake either, because the only way to enable it is to do something like keeping things awake yet again, and from what I have heard it is a pretty big battery drain for that functionality.
Ahh okay I understand it.. but then it offers me a question why the Meanpop Custom Rom can handle it without big drain of battery.
Before you ask why I don´t stay at MeanPop.. I like Cynaogenmod more

I am not saying it is definitely a big drain on battery. I just said potentially it could be. There certainly were some people that claimed to have suffered poor battery performance after making it blink. Maybe we are talking the difference of a couple percent at the end of the day which you may not notice. But I am sure in some usage cases, that wouldn't be the case and it would be higher.
Does the meanpop dev release their source? I have no clue how the dev accomplishes it, maybe it is something you could make into a flashable zip and include with any ROM. Or it is something that is deeper than that, and likely will require you to build a ROM from source. If there is no source, perhaps try asking the dev.
Alternatively you can use whatever method some other people have used. I am pretty sure, I linked a couple of popular threads to you the last time you asked this question, here.

I don´t know how the dev did it. I just know that there is a data in your filesystem which defines everything. So It can be something more deeper than normal. But I think the dev of Meanpop won´t be doing a flashable zip if this would be possible because this feature makes his Custom Rom way more unique.
I´m not so into Tasker and Lightflow ... but maybe I will give it a try. Thanks for your help!
I am coming from Redmi 2 (1 GB RAM variant) where it barely showed email notifications and whatsapp notifications on time. There was delay of few hours in case of email notifications all the time and although whatsapp notifications were on point most of the time, sometimes I missed them (The problem might have been that it had only 1 GB RAM). I had to install custom ROM (Lineage OS) to get over that problem. The Redmi 2 I had was stolen and I want to upgrade to Redmi 4.
So, my question is if the same problem exists even in Redmi 4 i.e, notification delay in MIUI?
miui is a junk, switch to customs , no problems here.
The problem still exists even with 3 GB of RAM? and do you recommend buying Redmi 4 and installing a Rom or buying a motorola even though the price is a little steep?
I'm a very happy owner of the Redmi 4X 3GB RAM/32GB MMC (running unlocked/rooted MIUI 8.5.2.0). No problem with that ROM whatsoever.
Regarding the notification issue, it sounds like the built-in battery saver causing the problems? Just select a custom setting for the apps where you need to see the notifications.
The battery saver in MIUI can be quite aggressive.
I had a ton of issues with notifications when I first bought the Redmi 4x. I did all the usual recommendations about locking apps in Recents and giving them the correct permissions, etc. but the thing that really gave me back my notifications was turning off "MIUI Optimization" in Developer Options.
I have a peculiar problem with my Redmi 4x
My Phone restarts randomly multiple times and heats up in a weak network area. The top area of the phone, where the ear piece is usually becomes hot.
This happens when I am a basement, forest area, lifts etc. As long as I am in my home network things are perfect, phone goes crazy when it's in roaming.
This problem I've been facing in all the custom roms ( treble/non treble, AOSP, Luis RR, LOS, AOSP, Carbon, Nitrogen etc) , however I noticed after installing stock MIUI with locked boot loader, the problem disappears.
I have also tried different kernels and radio firmware combinations, but it hasn't help. I have even changed the network modes many times from 4G to 3G to 2G and vice versa.
Is there any other way to resolve the problem, I have searched every where and now I am back with MIUI 9.
I would like to install custom rom again.
Thanks
I also have the same problem
---------- Post added at 09:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:12 AM ----------
how to get rid of that problem
While when low network range area I have also faced this issue but it's just barely warm but not heating and using mobile data on custom ROM heating is little more.
I think it needs to be fixed from custom ROM development end.
While when In MIUI(9/10 Global beta)there's no heating issue in low or no network but when using data device does get warm doesn't heat up.
SOT is roughly around 4 to 5 hours.
I think it constantly searching for network and hence the heating in low network area.
Just check what different type of network available in your surroundings area and change it accordingly.
I have tried installing stock MIUI 9 Gobal/Developer with unlocked boot loader, but the phone still restarts randomly. Same thing happens with the custom roms. Like I said earlier, once the boot loader is locked, things are perfectly fine.
That means I am stuck with stock MIUI 9 for ever Missing all the amazing custom roms.
Is there any relationship between 'locked/unlocked boot loader' and random restarts??????
Another observation:
In airplane mode, phone doesn't restart or heats up
In safe mode phone restarts multiple times and heats up
Clean flashed custom roms, with no apps, phone still restarts
It's strange that I have been using various custom rom on my old Moto G , and it works like charm, better than stock rom. It doesn't heat up or restarts.
I may be wrong, but I believe people who have not faced similar problems with their Redmi 4x, have not left their network area.
I know all the developer are working really hard to make Redmi 4x awesome. :good:
Thanks
Finally I found a rom that doesnt restarts or heats up randomly
After trying out most of the popular roms, which were restarting randomly many times due to week network signal.
Finally with a heavy heart ( I don't like MIUI) I installed MIUI 10 by Xiomi.eu rom 8.8.30 beta, to my surprise it worked flawlessly. I used TWRP 3.2.3.0 and then magisk 17.1 with no issues.
Battery is really good, with zero drain during night hours when not in use, Volte works, all google play store apps works ( google camera, Google phone etc all works) and the best part NO MORE RANDOM RESTARTS AND HEATING.
Finger sensor works really good, UI is very smooth,
I have installed the ruthless pixel laucher and adaway, they work fine.
Few things I didnt like about the rom
Notification panel is ugly.
Substratum theme doesn't work
Ear piece volume is low
Miui theme engine doesn't work, every time I try to install, it returns an error
Led notification are working, but red, green, blue doesn't work ( though it shows options but doesn't work)
Xposed framework installs, but the gravity module doesn't work.
not many customization options ( may be some xposed module may work, I haven't tried)
I believe the above information may help those who hate MIUI, but are looking for a stable rooted rom without compromising on stability.
Cheers !!:good:
Thank you very much for updating with all details, much appreciated.
Not sure why your device giving multiple issue and running good on Xiaomi Eu ROM but anyways if anyone gets issue like this then one may try this particular ROM.
Try using "light manager" app to change between notification color or "Tasker" (there's tutorial how to use Tasker to change notification LED colors)
If your device doesn't hardware doesn't support then it's not going to work.
In my Redmi 4X colors work.(model number MAI 132 can be found on back side of box)
Early manufactured Redmi 4X are equipped with multi colored led notification light but later ones are only white.
MIUI third party themes should work I don't remember exactly though if you are looking for some customization with MIUI.
There are very few Xposed/magisk framework module available to customize with on MIUI.
Thank for sharing.cheers!

Welcome!!
My phone supports all the led colours, it was working with all the roms; excluding Luis RR- its doesn't glow at all.
Any ways, I have used this Xiomi.eu rom for the past 4 days and not a single restart or a weak network, it's hard to believe.
Can you please suggest a way to change the notification shade. I am aware that there are few apps on Google play store that can do, but aren't great.
Thanks you
Glad to know how good this ROM working on your device.
Currently there's no MIUI 10 themes in Mi/zhuti theme store.
Just few weeks ago they changed how themes are applicable depending upon the MIUI version and for results as of now I am writing this there's no theme available to change the notification shade yet, hope they are working to make it happen as soon as possible.
You'll see message when applying theme about theme isn't compatible but icons are pretty much usable and they can be set in theme customization and some other other part of themes also customizable.
You'll have to check it manually if it'll work or not.
Until then MIUI users have to wait for MIUI 10 Themes.
They have also started mentioning theme version (MIUI4/5/6/7/8 OR 9) to avoid compatibility issue but all previous version themes works just fine with older or newer MIUI.
Currently there's issue with applying older themes on MIUI 10 ( particularly changing notification shade).
Since several weeks I was on DOT OS 2.4 and just recently moved to Havoc 2.0 Pie so I can't say anything about last week's or this week's MIUI update if they have come up with MIUI 10 themes which will allow to change notification shade.
If I get any information about it I'll update it.

Do you find any other solution. i want to use Havoc ROM, due to network issue its not stable! if anyone find the solution kindly tell me
Hi all.
Have been modding and playing around with Note 4 and the emmc fault is a bi*ch. If it works, you never know when the damn thing will stop functioning. And the phone itself is always a bit buggy with custom roms. I noticed that several people here compare it to Note 3 and mean that Note 3 overall has certain advantages, easier to modd, less buggy, and of course, is not plagued with emmc fault. Don't get me wrong, i have several units and i really like the damn thing.
So i would like to ask all you who actually HAVE experience of both, write here a line or two, and compare those two. Which one is actually more thankfull for modding? N4 being of course newer, but does it make that big of a dirfference?
Hi, i don't have an note 3, i have and use a note 4, very happy with the phone running android 6.01 heavy customized and with the best kernel (ram Kernel v8.1 never had any issues with emmc or any other for that matter, it runs very smooth with no problems, battery last for a week, standby 0.4% per hour.
Ok. Difficult to make comparison then since you have no experience with Note 3, but thanx anyway.
Sounds good tho. May I ask then how your setup looks like, since having a battery last for a week is really an achievment?
System:
I Installed stock PHN DRI2 Build with ram Kernel v8.1 removed a lot of user apps that i don't need and also a lot of system apps that drain your battery, i use magisk for root and have two modules in use GPU Turbo Boost (not sure if this does anything but i leave it anyway installed) and Swap Torpedo (no swap file that saves battery) i use for tweaks the L Speed app and some build.prop tweaks most of them are from goldeneye rom.
Apps:
I use Ungoogled Chromium, this browser is memory and battery friendly as it does not call home all the time and i don't use social media apps as they are all battery hogs, i have about 50 apps installed and i use afwall for firewall and as email i use exchange push email with stock email client.
I tried almost every rom available for the note 4 910F but all suck in battery or the pen is not working, with a lot of trial and error in debloating the rom i stick with the one i have now, i am running it for 3 years and i am a happy camper. I love this phone with the pen the screen size and the exchangeable battery, it runs for a week with one charge 7 days with 3 hours and 43 minutes screen on, the onscreen time (backlight slider at 1/3 and dark color wallpaper) is about 7 hours in one go and it uses 0.4 battery per hour in standby (measured with GSam Battery Monitor since 1 year). I had newer phone they are all made of glass, no battery exchange and no earphone connector. Long story short, great phone . If you like to have the build.prop tweaks i can give them to you. The L speed app you can download from XDA https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/l-speed.6156/ .
Cheers

Thank you very much for the offer, but build props are way over my experience level, i think.
Btw, love the phone for the same reason as you do.
Besides, i am quite happy customer also, running @AnonVendetta s version of really bareboned stock 6.01. No Google, microG instead. No root. Not many apps. I probably could get a week out of a battery also with light use that i usually do. But i use Signal, and i just yesterday discovered that the damn thing just chugs battery like mad if you don't have Play Service installed. So with it installed i get at best a days use, with very light using of the phone.
I am currently rocking a Note 3 on Sprint and running Android 10 (Superior OS) and works great. All the convencience of Android with my removable battery and IR blaster (yes I use it for multiple TV's in multiple buildings I control). I use the S-Pen on Squid to take notes and jot down info and even mark up pictures so don't need Air Command. I sync with my FitBit Versa and run multiple smart home devices from the phone (including my whole home entertainment with the PEEL app).
The only 'complaint' I have is the bluetooth. There was a major problem past Android 7 of geting the thing to work. It does now. Voice and music work good. But occassionally it will just drop the device it connects to. I will re esablsih about 10 seconds later but still, that loses the lock on my Jeep radio and therefore keeps allowing the screen to lock. This is a minor annoyance but does need to be mentioned.
I JUST bought a Note 4 so thinking of loading LOS 17 on it and see how it goes. However I see most people here just kept stock Marshmellow. I dunno aobut that... isnt the UI buggy and limiting?
I look forward to any advice I can get!
Hi Dave,
I also use the IR remote for all my home appliance (dvbviewer TV on my pc, living room and bedroom tv and Bose audio system, i use the ir plus app great remote control app and it still gets updates, about the roms available for the note 4 i have the snapdragon version and i have tried all roms but i stay on stock 6.01 the MM version is not buggy at all, it never have problems, hangs crashes or reboots, i use the stock launcher smooth and fast, the UI interface is not important, the apps i use are all in dark mode, for me it's important i can use it the way i like it and it does. NOTE 4 still rocks like a champ with all the advantage it has. If this one breaks i will look for a other note 4, no newer phone for me. I dont know what version you have but try some rome you will see you will go back to 6.01 mm, its rock solid and battery friendly. Bluetooth on the note 4 sucks for battery use but does not crash or breaks anything, i have a gear fit2 pro but i dont connect it with the phone all the time just to sync .
Cheers

For me LOS17 was a no go because of the SIM issue and lack of encryption. I saw other having other issues. If i were you and needed something newer than marshmallow, then i would try LOS16. I found that one to be very stable, no issues so far for my use. Will perhaps migrate to that one with my daily driver in a while, when stock starts failing.
As for stock 6.0.1, not sure where you heard it was buggy?! I read that marshmallow was if not the least buggy Android OS ever and that is also my experience, at least on Note 4. I totally agree with @Qosmio-. It is the most rock solid rom i have ever had on a device. NEVER had any bugs, issues or anything. Battery friendly. I find launcher smooth, and run UI in 'easy mode', which i find the most appealing, colorwise and all. The perfect OS basically, if there ever was one. I have heard people starting to find apps that are no longer supported, but all apps that are important to me still work.
but wait - you use PEEL app as remote?
Wasn't that completely hidious advertisment-prone bloatware that was utterly unpleasant to use?

I only meant 'buggy' as outdated and unable to use the full Google Assistant features etc... Thats why I moved to newer ROMS Not as smooth and primitive features. I should try myself before I speak the negative about it!
So let's talk about PEEL.
The magic is to use this with Titanium Backup. I must say, PEEL can be set up to use and manage "scenarios" (Home, Work, Friend's House etc). If you set it up..
1.go in and click to NOT auto detect WiFi connections
2.disable advertising and lock screen and persistant notifications for 30 days.
3. Set up a Custom Remote Scenario
4. Create a Widget for the App to default on Custom Remote
3. Do a TB of the app!
I have found, on the newer ROM's it stays Ad Free.. but if it gets weird to annoying just do a TB restore "data only" and then you are golden!
Ive tried lots of other 3rd party apps but I keep going back to PEEL. It stays ad free and as a remote (not as a channel guide) it works exremely well, is desined well and functions well.
Hit me up if you want more specifics! Maybe I should start a 'how to' thread..

No not at all, i protect my use of internet at home and phone ( i am system engineer for 35 years so i know what i can and can't do), if you look what still need to be patched for android Exploits vulnerability-list , every new or old version of android user is @ risk. When connected with my phone to internet via my provider it will change the phones ip address every 15 minutes, i use a firewall (afwall) on my phone and disabled ipv6, i am connected to my home with openvpn to pfsense firewall for internet access and i use my own MS exchange mail server and dns server resolver with ad and privacy telemetry filter with pfblocker. There are things you don't do with old version of android and that is visite websites that are shady, porn websites and browse without a strong ad blocker or privacy filter.

I had tried using some Liniage Versions but on the Sprint Variant they woulnt make phone calls or text so I had to ditch them. I am downloading now so will give it a flash and see! Thank you for the heads up!
Dave
EDIT
Ok.. loaded up the Crdroid ROM. Working well, but with my SM 910P I am having bluetooth problems keeping sync with my Fitbit, Lack of LTE (but works on 3G) and a few other bugs but am managing. What carrier are you with? I would appreciate any tweeks you have found to help out.

Hi Dave,
Sorry for the late reply, i just read your post in the cdroid section, i am with simpel carrier i dont have any problems using LTE and have no problem with sms (i dont use mms) , the only tweaks is with the L speed app and kernel auditor to lower the idle frequentie of the GPU and set it to 166 instead of 240 to save battery. My gear fit2 pro on bluetooth works fine to so i am a happy camper. What you could try is other modems from other stock roms if you did not try that already maybe that helps with you LTE problem.
Cheers

Sorry for all the bouncing around in the forums. Trying to play Note 4 catchup...
Well that is an interesting thought. As a CDMA carrier customer (Sprint) I feel I am locked into my own island.
Can I just do a stock modem restore in TWRP onto my CRDroid ROM ? I am not at all sure why my Bluetooth is having such a problem with my Versa 2.. Maybe it is the versa problem?
Anyways, I can see a bit where the Note 4 gets laggy with camera use and running a few other commands at once. I know this is older but my Note 3 did not seem to hesatate this much. I like the idea of considering lowering my GPU.
Let me know if you have any other thoughts?
Dave
Np Dave there is so much information to take in that i can't blame you when bouncing aroubnd in the forum , You can and must make a backup with twrp of your modem in use and then fiddle around with different versions, its very easy to rip modems with 7zip from different original roms and zip (7zip) them to flash it with twrp. As for bluetooth it can be a pain in the ass with custom roms especially with asop roms, do some searches in the forum maybe someone has the same issue as you have.
Cheers

I found a forum that says to go into the application and wipe data and cache and then I went into TWRP and wiped ART/Cache. That seems to help with the 'Bluetooth Keeps Stopping" error. I have tried to load several other ROM's but they wont install due to Error 7 codes. I supsect becuase I updated to the Q15 version and these older ROMS arent being updated. So I will keep trying to nurse the CrDroid 10 version and see if it can be improved..
I'm not an expert but for me.. note 3 is more stabLe than note 4 when it comes to custom rom. Easier to mod, and Less buggy. ( thanks to aLL deveLopers at kay Lodi @jprimero15 )
TiLL now stiLL Looking for a rom that can fit note 4 for daiLy usage.
Thanks
I am using Emotion Kernel, and Xposed. I will just to Android 12 at the moment it will be available.
I never used the Note 3, but i wonder is it faster than the Note 4 in daily usage. The Note 4 Snapdragon CPU is a frying pan and it can strongly reduce its performance when it gets hot.
My phone will in consequence randomly reboot, but i have a simple script that detects overheating and lower the CPU freq (works good)
Is the Note 3 quick and doesn't overheat when browsing internet?
