Update: Screenlock now working. I switched off the fingerprint ID then switched it on again. Now ok.

Did you set up face unlock and lift is lift to wake still on? That combination can work so quickly it seems like the phone isn't locked.

Yes I actually did setup the face unlock. You maybe right coz when I deleted my enrolled face, turned off then turned on the fingerprint ID, screenlock was back to normal.

Maybe a bad app that's causing your phone to lag? I only get that once in a blue moon on touchwiz.

Hi,
I had a similar issue when i installed apps to modify the lock screen - Lock screen pro and also with Go launchers lock screen. If you have installed any of those, try uninstalling and checking.
Still having this issue, on several roms. Any advice??

Do you mean that once you unlock your device using the fingerprint, and then lock your device, it doesn't ask for the fingerprint again? If so, that's because you need to change the "secured lock time". It's under Settings > Lock screen > Secured Lock Time. Set the timer lower or have it instantly lock whenever the display turns off.

This is what I had to do. It is unfortunate the fingerprint reader only lets you register 3 fingers.

Thanks that fixed it. Didn't see that option
It's been my experience so far that the default setting out of the box allows you to unlock the phone for a few minutes without requiring a fingerprint just in case you locked your phone & forgot to one last thing.
Of course, I can see the benefit of setting the time-out for this feature if one has a very suspicious mate or is doing things to warrant a mate to be suspicious.
I'm surprised, the reviews made it seems like fingerprint wasn't reliable but it's great. Even had my girlfriend try it. No GS5 for her.

If you watch some of the video reviews, not all...but some, it looks like they were trying to make it malfunction on purpose to make it look bad.
I still get a bad read every once in awhile, but I'm at probably a 99% success rate. I'm *very* pleased.

OP3 fail finger print scaner

I have only added right hand thumb finger print for unlock my OP3.
But if you try multiple times with left hand thumb it unlocked my mobile.
Worst case is after n number of tries... Just lock with power button and again press power button swipe above its automatically unlock your phone.. It doesn't prompt for pin.... [emoji32] [emoji32] [emoji32]
[emoji35] [emoji35] [emoji35] on OP3 inventors... I think this mobile is not worth of INR 10000/-...based on this behavior of the phone.
For your information my phone on Oxygen 3.2.2.
I will create video and post if possible.
Issue found and OP3 HAD NO ISSUES

A video would be good.
I did not encounter this issue once.
When I constantly scan the wrong finger, the device asks for a pin,
even after multiple power-presses.
This only happens for me if i have smart unlock enables (e.g i have my watch on me, or i'm at home) - even if i lock it so it asks for a pin, it will unlock after a few failed attempts of another finger. doesn't happen if i turn smart lock off (but i use it, why would i do that!)

If it helps, turn ON smartlock (e.g set it to your home location or whatever) and turn it back off, see if it sorts it.
Looks like smart lock is on, by location or by bt device. Never happend on mine op3.
The fingerprint scanner on the OP3 is the best you can get on a phone nowadays.

Switch between fingerprint and pattern/pin

Any method that I can switch from fingerprint to pattern/pin to prevent people using my fingerprint to unlock my phone when I am sleeping and switch it back from pattern/pin to fingerprint after I wake up?

Hi,
Why? People has same fingerprint as yours?
Fingerprint method is surely more difficult than pattern or pin imo...

No, sorry.
Using fingerprint sensor is NOT a secure way protect your phone, only a really convenient one. Use a strong pin if you are concerned about your security.
If you still want to use a fingerprint, I recommend you to use only one finger. Chances are, attacker will run out of attemps and lock your device before he finds the right finger. But even this approach can't be considered as safe.

Actually it is a very common thing in a households. Also more sophisticated attackers can collect your fingerprints and use them to unlock your phone.

Don't think that I'm not concerned by security because it's just the opposite but I'm not estimate myself like being attacked or under siege, if you know what I mean...
That's a exceptional situation, if you are in situations like that, no?

I think I have a sort of janky solution. You can install and configure a macro on Macrodroid.
Set the trigger to be a time (I set mine to be 12:30 am), and set two actions: first Screen On, then Screen Off.
On my phone this doesn't bring the screen on, but when I turn it on the next time it requires my PIN.
You can make it more complicated/fancy by setting a while loop to wait for 15 or 30 minutes if your screen is on at 12:30 am (ie, you're awake and using your phone), and adding a notification that your PIN is now required because it's late now or something. I also made a clone of this macro and set the notification to invoke the cloned macro (and vice versa). That way if my phone locks, and I manually unlock it with a PIN, but I haven't gone to bed yet, I just make the same locking event occur in 30 minutes.
Or you can use an NFC tag to activate this macro, if you have one of those. That can also be used to set other events on your phone when you go to bed, like configuring Do Not Disturb.
An even simpler, non-automated option(if you use Nova Launcher) is to set up a widget or gesture that engages the Nova Screen Off action(as long as you haven't set the Screen Off method in Nova to use no lock, which requires root). If you use this you'll have to remember to

Fingerprint not working most of the time - no icon appears

Hi guys, I own a S10 for few days. I activated fingerprint and smart lock so that it should not be locked when I'm connected to my smart watch.
The fingerprint sensor isn't working in 90% of the cases when I try to unlock my phone. The small icon isn't showing and it seems that the sensor is disabled.
Sometimes (in 10%) the fingerprint icon is showing and then the sensor is working really well.
AOD is activated and should show the sensor when I tab once on the screen. But also this only working in the 10% cases.
It's also not working while double tapping on the screen. The lock screen appears but no fingerprint icon.
Also the smart lock while connected to my watch isn't working. It's really annoying
sounds like this issue, but I don't get the message with the dirty sensor...
