How to disable left-side lockscreen animation - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Questions & Answers

There is one thing that annoys me a lot, and that is this to-the-left side animation of the lockscreen after fingerprint authentification.
When you press the powerbutton, the phone for a while shows the lockscreen and almost-instantly do this animation. Together it disturbing.
Can this animation be turned off, or adjusted? Fade-out would be OK, but this to the left is nonsense.

I'm following this thread. This has been the case for Sony phones for a few years now. It was like this for my x compact. Never liked it

Any way to have more fine grained control over animations?

Inside the Sound & display settings menu is section to turned down the animations used throughout the system. I find that turning them all of really makes the phone feel snappy, but it comes at the cost of some of the nice animated transitions between screens and apps. The settings allow three different options: completely off, some animations, or all animations turned on.
What I really want is all of the animations, except for the opening application one. This is the animation that occurs when you launch an application from one of the home screens or the launcher and it looks like the application window grows out from the center of the screen until it fills the entire screen. I think this one looks bad, especially when you have a bright colored background and when it is turned off applications feel like they open much quicker. Selecting 'some animations' from the settings will turn this one off, but it also disables the sliding transition that occurs when traversing through menus and pages in an app, which I actually really like.
So does anyone know of a way to disable animation one at a time?
I normally just set the animations to fast from the 'spare parts' application that is in most roms.

I tried that but it's still not ideal. I guess it can't be done at this point...

not able to open notifications from the lockscreen

previously on sense 5 you can directly open any notifications from the lockscreen with just a tap. after updating to sense 6, i cant do taht anymore. i tried swiping down but what happens was only a box-like thing appears and the screen becomes dark. long tapping makes the lockscreen sink into the background and u can drag it around like a homescreen.
swiping left or right on the notification only brings me back to blinkfeed or the homescreen.. any ideas how to bring back tap to open notifications?
bumps~
You have to swipe from top to down (the lockscreen have to become darker) then you can open the notification...But I regret this system not really good and the fact that all notifications are together sucks too...

SuperVOOC animation on lock screen

Is anyone know how to show supervooc animation on lock screen ?
when i watch x2 pro review on youtube, there is animation on lock screen when they charged it. But mine not showing any charging animation on lock screen.
There's no way to turn this off or on... It should show every time your charging until you get the notification to say charging complete... then the animation disappears.
Yes.it does not show supervooc animation if you have any notifications on lockscreen.clear all notifications on lockscreen and check.you must see the animation now
I have the same issue.

1. Press power button to lock the screen while charging.
2. Wait until screen goes black.
3. Press power button once for lock screen to turn back one. (Make sure face detect does not unlock it).
4. You should see the charging animation now.
It lasts until screen timeout. You will see in videos they always keep touching it to stop timeout or only show it for brief periods of time

1. Turn on developer options
2. Keep screen on while charging (turn it on)
3. Now you can see charging animation on lock screen.
I have the same issue. If there's any notification on, it doesn't show that superVooc charging animation. In addition, after ridding that notification, animations appears but screen doesn't turn off itself... Stays like that all the time.
Indeed under what conditions the animation is not active? I have no notification here but still not showing charging animation
Revert to the stock launcher theme.
On my X2 Pro changing the themes from the theme store made the animation go away. Going back to the original theme (the one with the default blue wallpaper) got back the charging animation. If it doesn't help sorry but it's worth a shot.
Lol hey guys there is a option swtich your phone theme to default what it was and you should be able to get the animation back
'Working' animation charging
Hi I have the same issue, finally I have figured out in Realme X2 pro.
Go to settings, select theams and click on default theam.
Animation charging appears when you charge your phone.
Solution fixed

Guys this happens due to changing of themes from theme store , or changing wallpapers in lockscreen , guys go to theme store and settings and there choose my themes or downloaded themes option and choose the default, next time onwards dont change theme of the lockscreen , else animation wont work ,
Also remove notifications from the screen and then check it out whether it works or not !!
Default theme
Super vooc charging animation shows only on default theme.
First Uninstall third party application pattern lock, after that it will showing automatically .
It shows flash charge and start counting. 67.56% 67.57% and so on. But after a few seconds it only shows. 68%. If I want to see that animation again. I have to re plug the charger. Is there any way to make it continues?.

A12 lockscreen and fingerprint

Hello !
Since I updated to A12, I have to press twice the sensor for unlocking my phone with my fingerprint. When I press the sensor once it only turn on the screen and display the lockscreen. The lockscreen is on but the phone is unlocked, no need for code or scheme at this step, i can either swipe up or touch again the sensor to go the the homescreen.
Can we disable that and go directly to homescreen like it was on A11 ?

Set your Animator Duration Scale to 1x in Developer Options to fix it. I had the same problem, plus always on display didn't show battery percentage and charging status as well. This will fix all of that.
I ended up putting all animations back to 1x from .5x, but the duration scale is all you really need to set back to 1x
Wow I would never have thought to look for that... Thanks man !

Set it to no animations and you'll get new problems lol. For me I had to press the power button twice to turn off my screen with that. Android 12 is a little too buggy to call a stable release imo.

Question Tap to check phone not working properly

I'm trying to enable 'tap to check' option to show aod when tapping once from screen off. But instead of going to aod (black screen with time and notification icons), phone goes directly to lock screen.
Is this a bug? If not, is the preview from settings wrong?
I have the same problem on p7pro and I can't figure out if it's a bug or normal behavior: I did read a lot of XDA and reddit topic but it's not clear.
Do you still have the issue ?
Mine doesn't work with tap but if I lift or just move it gently, that will show the AOD... but lift it too hard and it goes to lock screen.

I just noticed it last night. If I just lift it a little on it's side, it's AOD (or ambient display ?) coming up, and if I lift it completely it's the lock screen plus looking at my face to unlock.
But I would like to have only the AOD when I tap it with a finger, because most on the time it unlocks when I tap, because it sees my face ^^
Edit: and the AOD do not come every time I slightly move it. Like when it's just locked, it doesn't come ...
When I tap mine it goes to the lockscreen, but any notifications are shown also. I have face and fingerprint unlock disabled. When I had them enabled I would never see notifications unless I unlocked the screen first.

Yes still having it and I can't find a way to make this work as it should. Let's wait for Monday's feature drop to check if it'll get things fixed.
Yes, same here.
For me lifting goes to lockscreen, I cannot achieve the situation that slight lift causes AOD to show. The same with tapping - it goes straight to lockscreen (though description and preview suggests that it should show AOD instead of lockscreen). Whenever I receive a notification, AOD shows and it's OK. Basically what I don't like is that tapping should show AOD and is showing lockscreen instead (the best option for me would be to have single tap to show AOD, double tap to show lockscreen and while on AOD, double tap to show lockscreen).

Exactly.
for the AoD to show, you can try to slightly shake it, or lift only one side when it's on a table.

I am using the QPR2 beta. It still goes to the lock screen when tapping but it does seem to more reliably go to the AOD when I pick up the phone and only goes to the lock screen if I'm more aggressive with it. I'm actually fine with it now.

It was like that before for me. But still, it would be great to have the ability to choose. Especially when you have face unlock enabled and don't want the phone to unlocks when you check for notifications ...
