Hi, I've been searching but haven't found any recent threads. Does anyone know if the p20 pro can change the size of the picture in picture (PiP) window? My example is Netflix floating PiP window is a really useful feature but it's just to small, the window does grow larger when you press on it to reveal the expand and cancel button (this size is perfect fyi) but then shrinks back down?
Separately and maybe due to PiP my Google maps app is horribly laggy, anyone have have the issue.
Thanks

Hello XDA,
I'm back in school come September for my 5th semester of Computer Engineering, what I'm looking for is an app/widget where I can have a small photo of my timetable/schedule and when pressed will open up a larger picture of my timetable to check class locations/times and whatnot.
I've tried a few picture frame widgets but none of them really seem to have the ability to link to a larger picture where more detail can be seen (as the font is rather small and need the larger image to read). I would be happy if I could even create an icon called SCHEDULE that when pressed opens up the picture of my schedule, as long as its not as slow as navigating to my Gallery, selecting the folder in which the picture is stored, and then scrolling to find the picture of my schedule.
Does anyone know of an app or somehow that I can make this happen?
Cheers
I am used to CTRL+= (increasing web browser font size) while browsing the net. Because some websites have really tiny font size. The CTRL+= option (works in FireFox, IE and Chrome) is very essential because it doesn't affect the layout of the webpage at all and it doesn't cause Scrolling (unlike Zooming In which WILL cause scrolling).
CTRL plus =; is even more necessary while browsing using my smartphone due to the size of the screen (smaller than my desktop's 27 inch monitor). I just wonder if there's an option to increase font size of a website like "CTR + =" without causing you to have to scroll left and right to read the text (which is inconvenient!).
Any advice?
I use Opera Mobile because it will automatically re flow the text to the current window width when you zoom. It saves a LOT of wasted effort trying to scroll for each line!
I think it may be an option, and the default may be off.

Not by much! A screenshot from my note takes up a fair bit of my desktop screen!

I don't give a damn about "Screen Resolution" what I meant was "Size" my eyes don't care whether the resolution is billionXmillion pixels if it was squeezed in a 2 inch extra sharp monitor. It's still a freaking 2 inch monitor I can't SEE despite the billions of pixels contained inside!!

Thank you... but that's a shame to have to stick to a browser just for such a feature?
I can't believe no one thought of such a feature for smartphones... and I don't even wear glasses.
Just double tap the screen in your browser and the text size increases and wraps to the screen, every android phone does this. Plus ifbyou then zoom in ad out with pinching the text keeps wrapping to the screen :-D
Okay so I'm in the market for a Moto X and was messing with it at the store. Seems like a nice little package. I did run into one thing that bothered me.
When in the camera app in portrait view after taking a picture to preview the picture I just took is a simple swipe from the right side in to open the gallery. All good and dandy. Unfortunately most of the pictures I take are from the landscape orientation and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to bring up the gallery from that position without having to go back to portrait orientation. Am I doing something wrong?
It seems silly to me why they would move the buttons for settings and gallery when you rotate the phone. They should of kept the position the same no matter which way you hold it. Seems inconvenient to have to keep rotating the phone every time you want to preview your pic. As well as this phone is designed if there is no way to bring up the gallery from landscape mode I got to think they missed one there.
It works in both landscape and portrait for me, but I am running a leaked version of android 4.4. So more then likely if the current version doesn't support it 4.4 will when it is released.
you just swipe when in landscape also. i do it daily as i rarely take portrait pics. i dunno why you werent able to. you do need to swipe from the edge of the camera. not the edge of the screen. as the edge of the screen is the navbar and not the camera. hope that makes sense.
Thanks bud. I just watched a YouTube review of the phone and saw how to do it.
It is still a swipe from the right. Problem was I was doing it from the bezel and it kept pulling up some google feature. You still do it from the right only the swipe should start from just to the left of the home button. I swear I did that at the store but I must of been too close to the home button. Oh well, I still think they should of left it in the same place whether it is in portrait or landscape but I guess I'm no engineer.
I was in the tutorial mode though and in portrait it had a preview where it said settings on the left and gallery on the right. When in landscape though settings was still on the left but the gallery was NOT on the right and that threw me off.
Thanks.
Anytime. And that Google feature is Google now. If you buy android, or a new android if you currently use old android, you will want to use it. Its really cool.
Hello everyone.
I'm spending some time with "Tiles Art"
I have 2 question today:
Do you know if it is possible to make TALL tiles?
You can only resize them as "square" (small or big) OR "wide" (as wide as 2 squares). I wanted to know if there is a way (or a app) to add a feature such as resize "tall" (as tall as 2 squares)... actually the best would be to ALSO a second feature whit resize as wide as 3 squares! when Start Screen shows 3 columns ninstead of 2.
I really misses this
The other question. Is it possible to make NON clickable empty Tiles ?!? Some apps allows to make empty transparent tiles, a tap on them brings me to the application itself... quite annoying. A better application like "Start Perfect" makes empty transparent tiles with a link to a black screen... it's better... indeed, but unclickable Tilles would be the definitive solution. :good: . Any idea how to get this ?!
Many thanks to you all for whatever kind of help.
Something happened to my camera app, not exactly sure when. The desktop icon changed. And it is no longer linked to google photos... also in google photos I don't find a setting to add a direct connection. So maybe google photos changed (also)? Can someone confirm or explain this? Am I missing something? Swiping to the left used to get me into google photos and review pictures right after they were taken. Now swiping just moves between mode selection, camera and video. I am running Oreo 8.0 Feb.1 patch on a rooted US AndroidOne X4
The camera app just updated.
And now it no longer couples to google photos? That's some improvement...
there is some problem in video recording mode for 1080p60fps
normal and wide angle icons works in opposite way
if u press on wide angle icon, u get narrow field of view
and if u press normal icon, u get a little wide field of view
