My P9 has lately been very choosy about what will charge it.
Once charged with a problem charger the screen doesn't respond until I reboot.
The original charger, with original cable, fine. The Amazon usb c cable with Huawei charger, fine. None of the other chargers work now. No change in update history, no falls, just failing to charge, or worse, the battery goes from full to zero after the essential reboot.
The charger that isn't working is a Microsoft lumia 950 charger, which was my last phone. It works with the lumia and used to work on slow charge with Huawei.
Any ideas on what could have happened?

Figure out... A long story!
I bought a vehicle charger for my beloved Xperia X1. Suddenly, the fusible of the charger blowed.
I tried to charge in my original charger AND in PC USB and the phone showed AC indicator. But the battery was still being drained until it finishes.
Checked battery and it was in 3.7v (it should be 4.2v). So, o plugged the USB power straight in battery, to send 5.0v. Charged just a little bit, turned on the phone, then it was dead. Forever.
Ok, I bought a new battery. The stupid seller from MercadoLivre (Brazilian eBay) sent me a BST-40 (3.7v) instead os BST-41 (original 4.2v). Wasn't the same size, but I made the connection. The phone turned on!! Amazing. But, altought It was plugged in wall charger, the battery keeps draining.
I ordered a external charger and a new battery. It takes 15 days to arrive =/.
So, someonde could (PLEASE) use a voltimeter and measure the voltage from PHONE without Battery and PLUGGED in original charger? Mine is telling now 3.325v.
I'm still hoping that nothing happened to my phone...
I bought a used nexus 6. It's in good shape. I immediately installed twrp and flashed cataclysm (my fav). This was all done on day one. I began using the device as normal. Upon plugging the device in to the charger (moto quick charger) I noticed it was charging VERY slowly. I checked the battery usage menu in settings and noticed that it said "charging over USB.". I was plugged into the wall. So, I thought, alright the guy sold it to me with a borked charger. I tried my old note 5 quick charger and it seems to work fine. Then, just for additional trouble shooting, I tried using the moto charger on my wife's lg g3. It worked fine. Seems the issue only happens on the nexus 6 with the moto quick charger. I searched with Google and found:
https://m.reddit.com/r/nexus6/comme...is_charging_slowly_says_it_is/?ref=readnext_3
Anyone know anything about this, or knows of a fix? I can use my note 5 charger, but my obsessive and anal tech ways keep me from just letting it go.
Thanks in advance!
I'm having a similar issue with two different chargers:
The Included Charger (the one that comes with the phone)
and

In my case, what happens is that the phone intermittently start and stops charging while plugged in. Not sure if it actually slows down the charge process though...
i get the use faster charger warning and it is all original except the cord. but the replacement was working fine till now. tried other cords, chargers and wall sockets with no luck. any suggestions. phone is not rooted never opened and still 5.1 android.
it is also a t mobile version
in the battery options it is stuck saying usb and not ac
plugging it into a pc then back into the ac seems to work sometimes
i have to unplug it from the charger a few times before it catches but the loose as a goose original cable works if i set the micro usb en just right because it is so stupidly loose compared to the one that i bought to replace it that worked
guess i will be sending it in for repair but the water damage indicator stickers are red have a second battery with a white one sticker still. hope the warranty does not fail me after i dropped it in the tub... now i do not think that is my problem because the charging port is so loose...
As the title says, I suddenly lost the ability to fast charge. Used to work fine, then one day (about 3 weeks back now) I plugged it in, with the included charger, albeit using a micro usb with a usb-c adapter, and it no longer said 'fast charging' on the lock screen. Note that this combination of OEM charger + cable with adapter, had never caused any issue in the past, even as late as that previous night.
Have since flashed it up to Nougat (.362) and back to every other firmware in between (.170 which it originally came with, .180, .190, .202) and none of them work.
Have also tried a second original charger which I had bought, and had previously worked with, but no luck, nor with any variety of usb-c cables, or cable with usb-c adapters.
Any thoughts?
It charges perfectly fine, just without the notification. Have not had a chance to fully drain the battery and time it (last time it hit around 45% in 30mins, so I can use that as a base).
Only thing I can think of, is it somehow 'shorted' (for lack of a better word) something inside, but you'd think it would affect charging in general, and not just the fast charging bit.
Last night my Mi5 stopped charging. I've let it charge over night but battery went from 20% to 2%. I've plugged it and unplugged it few times and then I let it charge. I finally got to 9% and booted. Now I'm charging really slowly. Still haven't tried a different cable. Please help!:crying:
P.S. I have a cracked back panel
Solution: It was the cable.
try a different cable or plug! my original one is also broken and charge slowly! with a adapter to micro usb it works great
I'm using the oneplus charging cable (which I bought from eBay, great cable btw.) Had it like 9 months now but since yesterday it won't charge anymore. But if it does it goes very slow.
Using the cable now which came with the phone and it works well.
It was the cable. Problem solved.
