I have an Lg G4 ls991 from sprint. Haven't used it for like 2 years cause of this issue I got. When I power up the device it starts up with the lg logo then after a few seconds the screen goes black. LED lights still visible and pulsing a few senconds later the sprint boot animation can be heard but with black screen still. The phone turns on and completes the boot cycle but if I try to unlock the device it won't come one. If I hold the power button and wait a few seconds the screen will come on with half flickering and the other half normal. The touch does t work when the screen is on but when it's off and I double tap it the device appears to react with an unlock and black screen. Device seems to be running fine in the background like normal. I can still manage the volume, when pressed the beep sound comes up informing me that the volume changed. I have doubts that this can't be an screen issue but a Motherboard issue. Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

I have a Motorola Milestone that was working fine until it was charging, and suddenly nothing comes up on screen. You can wake it up and the capacitive buttons function and provide feedback, but it's just a blank black screen, with backlit. You can power it off and on, and you can see the screen turn on, but no Moto logo or anything else. The buttons work as if the phone is on, and the LED even gives notifications of received messages. Anyone experience this? I cannot even see the menus is I were to try to go to the recovery menu.
Maybe i'm wrong, but i don't think it's bricked, just some hardware component died.
I've had my Nexus One for some time now, and i'm having a problem with it. Whenever i turn it on (sometimes i have to try more than once because it just stays black) it works ok, but when i lock it and try to unlock it (with the power button) the screen stays black. The action buttons at the bottom of the screen turn on but the screen stays black. I have CM 7.2 and i just flashed it and formatted all the partitions i could think of and it's still doing this.
If i call the phone after locking it, it will ring and the trackball flashes but the screen stays black.
Any help?
When the phone is on everything works fine.
P.S. I've searched the forums and found a few threads but none offer a good answer.
EDIT: If i leave it for like an hour or so i can turn the screen back on with the power button, but only once.
i have the same problem, am using the stock rom .. it happens after ending a phone call the screen stays black and i have to restart the device
waiting for solution !!
It boots up but nothing on the screen since I got it yesterday. Shows nothing when I plug in charger with phone off and doesn't show samsung logo whole booting up. Screen is completely black. The notification led, recent apps, and back button do light up and I am able to tap the screen and have it register but the screen just doesn't display anything.
Tried booting into fastboot and nothing, tried booting into download mode and nothing, tried removing battery and holding power for over a minute and nothing.
Help me before I have to return it. I g out. It for 380$ new from a recent cowboom.com deal and they're out of stock so they with be able to replace it.
One thing i did notice is that, even though it boots up and I can hear the water drop sound when pressing the back button, as soon as I hit the power button again, it reboots.
Maybe a fresh os install will help?
Return and get refund or send it to samsung repair center.
Looks like a digitizer problem.
I wouldn't send it to Samsung. I sent mine in and was returned in worst condition.
Tab s2 8.
Was using practically fully charged tablet one minute, went to use again and screen black.
Back and task switch buttons still light up when press power or home. Plus volume up/down makes the louder/quieter beeps.
Power and volume down gives me the quickest flash of the samsung and android boot logos and then screen black again. Makes the email received notifications you get when restarting the tablet.
Is basically on but just no screen. But screen still functional enough to briefly show boot logos.
Any thoughts?
Update. After about 30 mins of faffing, magically returns to life. Any thoughts on common issues that might have caused? Indicator of something about to go wrong for good?
Put down gently today and the right side of the screen displaying flickering dark/black stripes. Left side of screen perfectly fine. Touch still works over the whole display. Any ideas? Internal cable come loose? Or something more terminal? How easy to check/fix?

Hello,
the other day I had my phone on the sofa next to me, working fine, I leave it there 30 min, pick it up, and the screen has all kinds of weird glitches. After a couple hours now the screen is completely blank and whenever I press the power button the notification light blinks a couple times. It's kinda weird tho because touch seems to be working (if I boot to recovery, then tap on the screen the phone vibrates just like TWRP buttons) and I can still boot to fastboot. Of course when I say boot it means that `fastboot devices` shows the device ready, but I can't actually see anything on the screen. I'll try flashing the latest MIUI now, does anyone know what this could be? I mostly just like to know whether I should try changing the screen only or if it's likely to be a bigger problem and I'd be better off replacing the phone entirely. Kinda sad, I loved this phone. Thanks.
