Wait.. What? No, that's not fixable that I'm aware: You can't receive WiFi and output a hotspot at the same time cuz your WiFi hardware is set to "receiving" when WiFi is on, then switches to "sending" for a hotspot.. Can't do both at the same time.. BUT, you can receive WiFi and USB tether out..

Wifi issues

So I'm having Wifi Connection issues on my Mile stone. I'm running the Lastest STABLE version from Miui.us. Problem is I can connect but within a min or two of connection it looses connection and says wifi out of range even if Im standing right next to it. If I forget the connection and restart my router it will find it and connect again and do the same thing. I've tried my cousins Samsung Vibrant on my wireless router and he doesn't have any issues so I know its not the router itself. Any Idea's on how to fix this guys?

Yeah, 1.9.9 is a beta development build, but he's just remarking how stable it really is.
Hi, I have the same problem with WIFI, I cahanged the slep policy, and when I activate Wifi it's starting scanning for nothing, no wifi Network appears and when I can connect, after a whie it's disconnecting itself and doesn't reconnect. Somebody knows the problem?..I'm using MIUI android v1.9.9
I'm not sure, I updated to 1.9.16 and I'm having some issues with mine but not as bad. The weird thing is wifi won't work if the mobile data network is enable, when i turn that off my wifi will connect but if i get even like 10 feet away from the router it starts having connection issues and sometimes when im right next to it. But no where as bad as it was before.

If wifi is enabled it should connect automatically as long as you have previously connected to it and are in range(obviously). When wifi is enabled it scans periodically for wifi networks in the area.

Tasker can do it based on time or location and I think there's a couple others as well... I just use tasker because I use it for a lot of things, but I also just leave Wi-Fi on

[Q] Android 5.1 Hotspot Toggle problem

Hi,
When my hotspot is activated, the hotspot toggle appears in the quick settings. When I press it, it'll deactivate the hotspot. But when I click it again, it doesn't turn on the hotspot. Does anybody recognizes this?
Thanks!

If you are on Verizon, may work on other carriers but not sure, you have to do the following:

I'm on Vodafone NL. Hotspot works great, but the toggle to activate doesn't work. It just shuts the hotspot down, but will never active the hotspot again. I need to do this via the settings menu. Really weird.

Sony RX100 ii connectivity

Hi anyone have experience with connecting the n8 to this camera? Using the sony memories software it tries to connect but disconnects immediately. Any ideas folks.
I have an A5000 but i believe the method should be same.
When using wifi transfer i set it to wifi direct rather than through a router/access point (never had any success with using wifi router), when connecting directly to the camera the phone will complain about no internet access, make sure you pull the drop down and select stay connected anyways (otherwise the note may drop the connection so i can reconnect to your router that does have internet connection)
Found the solution I had to disable mobile data. Only found this out this by checking whether it worked on my tab s3 and it did so was a matter of deduction. Thx

Question Bixby routines

Please post best Bixby routines and routines+ options. (Wifi on/off, driving options....)
At the moment I need option to automatically connect to Buds+ Buds pro if someone call me. (or at least try to connect if am connect to other device)
And how can I set to automatically enable mobile data when I received MMS ( I have definition in routines to disable mobile data if I am on Wifi)
but you would have to have buds pro in your ears in order for it to connect..?

Yes of course. I listen to music on my laptop. But when someone calls I have to switch Buds to S21 ultra first then answear call. Or answear call and quickly transfer call to buds... Very anoying
I just found out if I set on routines mobile data off when I am on Wifi... Other routine with Wifi doesnt work (If Wifi have only 1 bar to disconnect wifi....)

Well, better check it as BBS/Gsam says that mobile data is off when wifi is connected.

No, as far as I have observed it's behaviour, it stays connected, and will kick in when WiFi is still connected but unstable or slow or no internet available.
Also, VoLTE calls are made via mobile data even when connected to WiFi (unless you have WiFi calling enabled).
LTE is not completely disabled when WiFi is connected unless you turn it off manually. At least that's my understanding...
