Tried Cosmic Os, very fast and stable but there is over heat issue. Tried Crdroid and it's a bit slower than Cosmic Os. Now I am retrying Ominrom to see differences. Also I have to try Lineage 15. Did you find any issues on this?
There are some minor bugs I'm using it for a month now.. Every week there are updates.. Last camera issues, this week calls are mute n have restart 4 to 5 times a day to fix.. Don't try.. Im changing..

For me it's lineageOS 15.1, haven't seen any bugs and everything works as it should. You also get regular weekly updates and it's almost like a google made phone with lineageOS 15.1

I had same issue with many Nougat/Oreo Roms. I was listen music or using an app with sound, receiving a call and answering made the sound to continue to play so I had to force close the music or the app.

Just use a different music player app. I use Pulsar because I like the UI. Everything works great so far no issues.

Did you understand? Also many apps continue to reproduce sound during calling so the problem is the ROM.

I installed the CyanogenMod by Maclaw - " Jellybean 4.2.2 (CyanogenMod 10.1) 20130826 "
The audio has changed somewhat now for me. I've noticed that for some individuals the audio is so low it's hard to hear what they say if there is any ambient noise. However, this is only for some of them. For instance, when I talk to my brother in law I can hear without a problem.
Still, overall the audio has dropped, for some contacts quite significantly. And I do have maxed the audio, checked what settings I can think of too.
Is this fixable in some way? Can't find anyone with this problem that got it fixed
Sincerly,

Thanks you SO very much for that link! :good: It changed for those that was too low, but the ones that had a decent volume level was kept at that. So now I can once again hear what they say!
Well, this just sucks. It didn't change anything at all. It turned out to be only in-calls that had low volume, and it still does.
Also, noticed today that when I make a call and the audio is good, and then turn on loudspeaker it goes really low. Quite annoying..

i would recommend that next time you spend a bit more time reading up on posts before using a ROM
you should possibly considering moving to one of the stock based custom ROM's

stock base custom rom aren't anyting like cyanogenmod. they are buggy, each developer changes the look of it the way he likes it. i don't like most of them. i know what i say. tryed all of them. used Dmod V5 a while, and then it totally fu...ed it up in last version.
i got used to the problem. waiting for a fix from maclaw or oliver.
I'm trying the Liquid Rom and I like it very much. Unfortunately, it seems to me that the sound from the speaker during the tenefonate is really very low. Does anyone have any solution?
Grazie !

He means the sound DURING the call, not the ringtone?
I'd say try another rom with a clean install, if problem persists
it probably is a hardware failure or even the network and/or phone
of the calling person on the other end.

And 'as you say, the problem is during a phone call. The voice of one who calls me feel very weak.
Now I'm using the OMNI that I like a lot less, but this ROM does not have this audio problem.

I stand corrected, it seems to me that all the ROMs I've tried so far, version 4.4.X (Omni, Silm, Mokee, Gummy) all have the same problem: the microphone volume down during a phone call.
Only I have this problem?
:crying:
It's not that I became suddenly deaf?
I want to go completely google free but I still want my stock rom as I've issues with the headphone sound in all custom roms I've used so far. So how do I remove google completely from my device? I really don't know all apps that need to be removed.

Removing Google will have no effect on your sound. Most people who want no Google are the tin foil hat brigade, concerned about privacy. If it's notifications from Google apps that are disturbing you, then they can be turned off individually on an app by app basis, so you can have no notifications without uninstalling everything.
The rom I know that will work completely without any Google is SlimLP - Aries, there may be others, I am happy to stand corrected on that.
Going down the Unlocked Bootloader road to install a CM rom is difficult and will result in a loss of quality of your camera and some of the phone functions. To install SlimLP because you don't like Google seems a bit excessive.
You say you've tried stock roms, have you tried SLIM 5, it has some sound enhancements that make it a joy to use.

My problem with the sound is that the max volume in all custom roms even SLIM5 is so loud that you will get deaf from it. I know every rom has the "high volume safety" function but still stock rom has the best max volume settings. I'm going to try SlimLP thanks.

There is a fix for the SLIM volume problems that corrects the loud sound, although most people complained about excessive speaker volume.

Oh my search skills seem to lack a lot then. Well I only searched for "too loud" "headphones" etc haha. I couldn't care less about the speakers actually. The sound isn't that great on stock either. Going to test this now thanks a bunch.
Edit: Didn't fix it for me. Guess I'm bound to the stock rom.
Audio works loudly with most/if not all ROMs, but with stock Pie the audio output for music etc. is really soft. Phone calls are loud though.
Any help?
even i feel dat moto messed up with audio drivers in pie

yes,pixel experience is working fine
My only complain with audio is that when I am on a WhatsApp call or FB messenger call if I put the call on speaker the persons at the other end complain that my voice is very low to the point that they have to put their phone to their ear in order to hear me.
If anyone has a solution I would much appreciate it.
I am not quite ready to root my phone since it is working so well on PIE.
I have the Indian variant with 6GB ram.
Sorry for the disturbance but apparently the case on my phone is blocking the microphone
Is audio bug still present in latest eu stable? Im still on china stable 10.3.15 and want to update but afraid to encounter the audio problem when playing media and causing stutters and then reboot.
