Hello. I seem to have disabled my stcok camera app. I've tried to reinstall from apkmirror however they keep failing to install. Does anyone have some help to offer. I'm on Oreo.
How did you disable the app? Not possible on mine

I'm not entirely sure. I'm used Gcam and I wanted to use the stock one and it was gone.
The only thing I know to do is reset the phone
I'm looking for a working viper4android since I've read that there are many apps that have infected files

it's just been updated here:
https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx
Version 2.7.0 as a standalone .apk file and it needs root. I have disabled com.xiaomi.audioeffect in case it conflicts with it and converted to system app, although it is not needed.

Actually it needs root to install the driver.
Hey guys, I wonder if anyone found working GCam for our phone. I tried several but many didn't even install, those who installed couldn't take a picture.

I am on a custom rom without gapp, but google camera can not be open. Is there any way to run it without google framework?
Maybe a stupid question: have you enabled Camera2 API?

i have used gcam without gapps but to be safe there are options like " fake store" to spoof Playstore and framework to applications
not all gcam mods work on all devices ...so try different ones .. furthermore on mi x6 there are old , new and MIUI camera libs ..some work for some while others work for others ..so try the different libs

I tried to install it and it said it wanted to update the camera app, so I'd say YES IT WILL OVERWRITE!

You can uninstall Camera updates to revert back to default one if you wish. I am using the Leica app and its nice but I do not see any improvement apart from the Leica filters.

Download and install "Package Installer" after that when you try to open camera APK file, it should ask you which package installer do you want to use to install this APK, select that second what you just installed.
Watermark is turned on but not applied.
Hi All,
I've tested this camera app the last few days, indoor outdoor night day and video, and I can confirm it has soooooo many improvements and really great shots, finally night videos and shots are better than iPhone. It was passing me off!!! But now I can say best camera I ever had.
Note that this app for 12s ultra and not developed to Mi11 Ultra yet, so you'll have some missing features or not perfect few options until it is officially released if it will ever be.
Enjoying the app really much right now
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
It appears that installing Google's package installer doesn't work on Xiaomi.eu ROMs, still getting the "can't install from unofficial channels " error. Anyone up for renaming/repackaging the apk?

I have an easier solution,
Switch to global rom because EU rom sux
I used the one attached. It then allowed me to install the Leica app.
Working well on Mi 11 Pro
