According to multiple sources Netflix has finally added the Mate 10 Pro to it's HD and HDR list of supported devices.
Anyone already tried it? Unfortunately I don't have the more expensive UHD/HDR subscription.
m10 pro BLA-L29 C432 with B142 from early May.
does not work.... have the premium subscription...
I have the premium subscription and it is still not even looking like 720p. Compression artefacts are horrible. No hdr.
Mate 10 Pro with Netflix Premium here... No HDR
Friend had his Note 8 and Annihilation showed HDR, mine did not. Compression far more evident on the Mate 10 ?

Does anyone experience bad 1080p video recording. It's not sharp enough.
If I record in 4K everything is really sharp.
The P10's 1080p video is not so sharp as my earlier iPhone SE.
Why is that?

Hi, you are not alone unfortunately. I have realised that some time ago on Five Finger Deatch Punch concert - it was on android 7. Now I'm on 8.0 but haven't tested it since as i set 4k as default
Edit: I have tested it yesterday and it's still visible on android 8 (tom ver. 360) when you disable pro settings, but everything is fine when the pro settings are on. I have also tested it on my friend P10 pro (rom. 185) and he doesnt have this ptoblem at all and everything is working fine. Looks like our P10 have got an autofocus problem
Hi all, beside not being able to stream nor download high quality video from Amazon Prime Video (max stream and download quality it's locked to 0.46GB/hour) the most annoying thing is that zoom to fit doesn't work at all. Whenever I try to zoom any video on Prime Video pushing the dedicated button nothing happens. [emoji36]
Is anyone else having the same problem?

Same problem here. Tried various versions of the APK and before and after the latest OTA update.
This is a possible dealbreaker for me. Keeping my Mate 10 Pro and will return the P20 Pro if Amazon & Netflix don't work out.

Just FYI, as of Prime Video Version 3.0.227.29641 I now can select qualities of up to 1.82 GB / hr (Full HD) and Zoom to fit again.
Zoom to 18:9 doesn't work still.

Perfectly fine here. CLT-L29 on 8.1.0.128(C432) with Prime Video App Version 3.0.228.6341
I am however positive that it already worked on FW .109 and .120 - I only started using (and updated) the phone once that was fixed, since, as posted above it would have been a dealbreaker for me.
No Zoom to fit in Prime Video
Got this problem for me, version 3.0.246.15341, I'm on a Moto g6 plus did anyone ever find a fix? It's bugging me that I can watch Patriot which is literally filmed in a 2:1 aspect ratio yet it still keeps a black border around it.

Maybe I am wrong, but some time ago I could not see HDR mark on the video in YT,
Now with the latest updated (from 21 May) it seems that new app supports HDR on Mate 10 Pro
HDR is working now on YouTube app.
And I want to mention that I've compared mate 10 pro display with samsung S8 plus and S10 plus playing hdr videos and the result is that Mate 10 pro has the most beautiful display, collors are more realistic, there is a huge difference..... Mate 10 pro display is better than samsung one, the clarity is superiour, collors more realistic and it is an oled pannel too. I can't believe that mate 10 pro display is soo good, I'm a Samsung fan but Mate 10 pro impressed me.

They may have some different displays' settings, you've got it?
So, it's a tnin matter – the real test on the same settings.
And we know nothing about yours, dude.

As long as he is happy lol. Anyways its mostly subjective.... nobody cares about some HDR video testing. to this date HDR is barely available for normal youtube content nor other apps etc. so who cares? In the end any decent oled screen with decent brightness will do the job.

Displays were set to vivid to all the phones. Mate 10 pro showed more realistic collours. Test it yourself and see if I am right.
My phone is Mate 10 pro bla l09 single sim model.
The other two phones are from some of my friends.
Galaxy s8 plus refreshes at 1080p with hdr, and at 4k with hdr it runs even harder. Galaxy s10 plus works well in both resolutions. Iven the display resolution is higher on samsung phones the clarity and the colour calibration is better in my mate 10 pro, in my opinion.
Just started watching narcos Mexico and noticed hdr is now working on the mate 20 Pro!

Doesn't seem to be doing much. Does state hdr in the app but no change in brightness etc.

When watching HDR Content it definetely changed the screen settings (can see this by the unnatural bright colors of the status bar when i pull it down while content is still playing) but i honestly don't notice much of a difference in picture quality.
But the M2P is still not officially listed as HDR supported device with Netflix.

Hi guys, I was watching some astrophotography videos on youtube, and noticed that Pixel phones were taking absolutely stunning pics. I then did some searching and found multiple GCAM versions, but none worked on my P30 Pro. It seems like 7.3 is the version that supports Astrophotography mode, so just curious if anyone knows if there is a GCAM 7.3 version available for Huawei / P30 Pro devices?

No versions are available that fully work with the naff processor of our phones.
