I have Samsung fast wireless charger(flat).....it has micro usb port and whenever i try to charge my note 8 it says "wirelessly charging" but instead of charging.. my device loose its charging percentage...even if its power off....i have tried plugging in wireless charger with samsung fast charging adapter with micro usb cable...but still same issue...says "wirelessly charging" then after sometime losses some juice
Have you tried using the same charging pad with other devices that support wireless charging? If the same thing happens with those then your charger is faulty and needs replace. If it doesn't then the wireless charging coil on your Note 8 is faulty and needs repaired. I would suggest taking it to a Samsung Service Center and let them take a look at it.
Have you tried to use an other cable? Often it's a broken or bad quality cable that causes problems.

I have tried 4 different adapter/cords combos ( just in my house) none of them charge my phone in an outlet - all work with my wife's smaller samsung in output. so weirdly only a direct usb with the oem cord to computer works ( in both my desk and laptop). so weird. so annoying.
You have to buy a new charging port, and the board that comes with it. This is a link to the part you need. If you search "n7000 charging port flex ribbon" you should be able to find other places that have it. http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-samsung-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-charging-port-flex-cable-ribbon.html
About a month ago my Note 4 stopped charging properly. I thought the battery was just getting on in age but with some troubleshooting I've noticed some symptoms-
#1- No longer shows up as Fast Charger plugged in. Whether it is Quick Charger, Regular 1A Charger, USB cable to Car Charger- it always shows up as USB Charging. This takes about 8 hours for a full charge.
#2 - Phone no longer connects to computer via USB .
#3 - Today I attempted to put a Wireless Qi Charger in, and while I was able to get some charging on a friends note. My Note seemingly is unaffected, even though the Qi Charging comes from the back plates- NOT from the USB port.
I'm guessing my 'charging unit' is damaged. Though I'm willing to hear out any suggestions.
Can anyone think of any components that would make this so?
Right now an external battery charger seems the only reasonable fix.
So i am having this problem, wonder if anyone else is also. I reported it to samsung.
The problem is when using a car charge my phone will say charging like normal. BUT then it will says "powering connected usb device".
It will say this the whole time it is charging.
Its a 5v 2amp charger i am using a micro usb cable with the included usb c adapter.
I use the this same charger for my s7 edge without problems.
Now the kicker here. Once i unplug the note 7 from the charger it will keep to saying "powering connected usb device"
The battery icon will flip between the power out icon and normal battery.
The first time it did i had to reboot the phone so it would stop.
The next time it went away after a few minutes.
I havent try using a usb c cable, but will later today.
Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Its probably OS related or have something to do with the adapters.
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem
The included micro-usb-to-usbc adapter seems to inhibit the charging speed. I used the adapter with an official Samsung Micro USB cable that came with my Note 5 and plugged it into a Samsung fast charger and the charging takes forever... Maybe you're experiencing a similar symptom?

Its possible. Today i drove for about 20mins and i didnt have this problem. It charged but only went up 3% more. I should of gotten at lest 5-6% with that charger (amount i would of gotten with my s7 edge, same charger in cable)
I will do a test today with the usb c cbale plug right into the usb adapter. I only have the one for the time being
Well the problem is still here.
My wife gotnher phone and the same thing.
She needed to charger her phone.
Plug it up and it says chaning connected usb device. Just stays on the screen for a while then goes away.
Now we got out the car and turn the car off.
Then phone lit up and says powering conntect usb device. Then my rasio started to boot up and ended up in a boot loop as long as the phone was connected.
So thephone was trying to power my car through the usb charger.
This is something samsung should fix asap. There should be an option to turn this off.
Ill have another chat with samsung
When i put the mobile on charging with original adapter and cable ,it just shows cable charging , then i take out the ejector pin and insert it into the charging port just for a second or two and then when i insert the cable, it starts fast charging
With the PD charger its fast charging is always ok
I just wanted to ask that if anyone else is facing this issue or just me

I have the same problem. I think it's cable related. When I reverse the part of the cable going into my phone, that sometimes resolves the problem as well. Also if you unplug the cable usb from the outlet charger then replace it immediately. It's not your phone, it's the cable.
well stat with basic, clean charging port and cable jack as well which goes in charging port.

if you planning to upgrade your phone year or two, then yeah fast charging is fine! But please note battery does get destoryed quicker with fast charge! if your after longevity of your battery then stick to slow charge, speed and heat kill battery faster!
My USB-C port on my Note 9 is broken so I'm reliant on Wireless charging the device. I would like to get a battery case for it but I am struggling to find out if any of them actually charge the phone via wireless charging? Some (like the Mophie) say that you can charge the battery pack by wireless charging but I don't think it will actually charge the Note 9 by wireless charging, I think it only does that through the USB-C port.
Are there any the will charge the note 9 via wireless charging?
This case does not charge the phone, but allows it to be wireless charged, and you can try to use this charger.

Thank you but I actually already have a case that allows the phone to be wireless charged and a wireless charger. What I am hoping to find is a case with a battery in it that will charge my phone via wireless charging. Something like this but one that will charge via wireless and not via the USB-C port.
