Unfortunately there isn't a large userbase anymore. I use KODI on mine now. Works really well.

Hi I m coming from Motorola Atrix forum to here cause i ve changed my phone to N7000 I wonder what is the difference between Original n7000 developement and n7000 developement? There was no another original developement topic in Atrix's

Good question!
The original android dev is about android as it was intended by google. (Aosp).
The other one is mainly for samsung based roms (with touchwiz and all that nonsense ;#)

Thank you so much for your answer. I have a little question. Does it mean that roms in original developement doesnt have multiview and other cool samsung features? And last, which rom you prefer? I m planning to flash the Ultimate rom

Thats right, multiview is a feature developed by samsung and is part of touchwiz, both those things arent available in AOSP (Android Open Source Project) roms.
If you prefer a samsung/touchwiz based rom then I reckon Ultimate is alright.
I myself however have am more comfortable with an AOSP rom, currently and for the last year or so ive been using Paranoid Android, which can be found in the Original Android Development section of the forum.
It has alot of nice features such as the Pie menu, DPI Mods (which is awesome on the big screen of the G-Note).
None of the touchwiz features are available on that rom, I prefer it that way.
I suggest you make a backup and just try both : )
Have fun, and good luck!
Please excuse my ignorance in this, but all these roms and mods confuse me, lol.
Is there any way to get original plain Android on the s3 mini? The one without touchwiz, I think it's called Vanilla Android?
My phone is rooted and has a custom rom on it already.
Thanks.
Do you mean the regular stock UI? (Cm10, aokp, etc) if so, a cm10 beta just came out on the maclaw website.

No, just the plain Android Jelly Bean, like the Google Nexus 4 phone.

No sadly, AOSP isn't available because ST Ericsson isnt releasing source codes for our NovaThor chipset which means developers have to build it with their own codes which isnt easy and there aren't many developers are willing to do that, currently only Maclaw is working on CM10

Is it gonna be less RAM consuming and improve performance on our S3 Mini? I'd love to help, but I know nothing about porting/coding and such stuff What are the benefits of replacing S3 Mini TouchWiz with S4 Mini one? Sorry for all the questions, but hope you can answer some of them if not all There are devs here that can be of great help to you, just a matter of time 'til they see your thread
S3 mini is'nt updated to stock 4.2.2 but s4 mini is updated.so it would be better to port that on this phone not to rely on damn samsung

For the ram is not a problem because s2 plus have 804 mb Ram
And 4.2.2 is working perfectly
It's not that easy to port to NovaThor based devices since the company suddenly disappeared without leaving any source code.

it is just that I wanted to say ..
A few have tried and most ended up with softbrick. I know of one hardbrick.
Not till today have I seen a rom ported from another device that will work for i8190.
So we should try another phone which has novathor

Xpera p has novathor u8500 cpu we can port it's rom to s3 mini.another phone ui would be interesting.
Xperia phones are easy to update.. sony too because they haven't lot of bloatware like samsung's knox and other things ..their roms are similar to a modded aosp like cyanogenmod

I'd prefer CM. COS is stock ROM and we all know how often we get COS updates. Whereas, CM gives Nightly build daily. We have benefit of latest source. There is also lots of things which make CM better than COS.
I would like to port Resurrection Remix ROM to Op3t. What would I need to do this? Is it possible right now to do that?

Not possible to compile from source right now since there aren't any cm device trees or kernel yet.
