Somedays ago i have replaced my motherboard foe causing high heating. Before my motherboard replacement the battery work so great. But after the motherbaord replacement i have came to know that the battery is so much draining in idle. At night time i have charged my phone to 100% and when i looked back the phone morning i have seen that the battery is drained of almost 20%. I have prevented all apps from autostart. I have searched to solve that problem in net. I have tried all the ways to solve but no result. when i keep my phone in airplane mode before night, then it will only drain of 3-4% till morning. please help me to solve the problem.

Hi guys,
after flashing the starburst rom and over clocking and several tries to calibrate the battery my battery is still draining a mile a minute. I used the battery calibration app....have let the battery fully drain and charge at least 5 times now and I still can't get back my battery life!
I'm thinking the root of the problem, well...when I go to settings than battery use it says the screen is using between 70-80% of the battery...I am assuming that what is sucking the life out of my battery but I have no idea how to fix it. my screen time out is at 30 seconds...brightness is almost as low as it can get. ITS DRIVING ME NUTS
I am assuming I calibrated the battery correctly cause it does not drain at all when the screen is locked.
please, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I am ready to rip my hair out!
I just opened battery calibration app its at 70% 4mv isn't it supposed to be like 4000mv? or is just abbreviated?
I just flashed a new rom and still having the same issue!
trying to calibrate the new rom using battery calibration and its barely charging...been stuck on 61% 4mv for about a half hour now..
is it possible that this problem is being caused because I installed the roms with ROM manager and not CWM?
I apologize for what questions may seem dumb...I am a noob....but i have searched relentlessly for answers on this specific problem here with out finding much yet.
disregard that last question..lol..u can see how badly this has my brain turned upside down
i bought my galaxy note 3 days back. except for battery issue , everything else is fine.
problem - charging drops below 85% from 100% immediately after unplugging. this happened yesterday and also today....i charged the phone while sleeping ( 1 am to 8 am ).....charging dropped from 79% to 100% imediately after unplugging....
i could use some advice about correct charging methods - can i charge the phone when battery is 50% drained or should i wait for the battery to completely drain??
with lithium based batteries you definitely do not need to completely drain the battery before you recharge it.
As I understand it there are two possible explanations here:
1) Your battery is broken. If nothing in 2) helps, get a replacement battery.
2) Your battery stats have gotten screwed up somehow.
Depending on what version of android you're on this can be fixed by either:
a) doing nothing for a few days and seeing if the stats start behaving normally. I would recommend you start with this.
b) wiping your battery stats. There are a bunch of apps that can do this, or you can do it from CWM.
If you do wipe your battery stats, your phone will probably report weird battery usage for a couple of days. See a).
Hope this helps.
So my X1 running Code Butter NAND ROM is experiencing a 3% battery drain per hour. It's not really that much of a big deal since I can make it last a day on idle state, but what's the use of that? I even bought a new battery. I did all the drain the battery first procedure and charge it fully thing already. Last night, I charged it. At 6:00 AM, I unplugged it. When I came back home, the battery readings were at 60%. It was at 100% when I unplugged it. Please help me with this problem.
Before giving any tips, here's what I have already done since I did some research on the forum...
I have reflashed my device. I have been flashing different kinds of ROMs but still experiencing the same battery drain.
I don't have any apps which may be the cause of this. If there is an app, it must be Swapper 2. It's kind of famous already.
I always calibrate my phone after flashing. I just flashed it 2 days ago. Calibrating actually fixed the battery indicator.
I have used CPU Spy. According to the readings, my phone enters deep sleep.
I don't use any task killers. I do have a rebooter app which can hot boot the device. However, I don't use it very much because of the speed Swapper is giving.
I have cell radio turned on. That's it. I don't have any other connections. I don't have 3g or whatever.
Even though my phone enters deep sleep, I have installed betterbatterystats XDA version. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything interesting.
I don't have any battery saving apps. I used to have JuiceDefender Ultimate. However, it didn't do much. It still drains 3% per hour.
Please help me with this problem. I think I'm starting to annoy people for asking so many questions. This shall be the last thread I'll ever make. I only start new threads if I can't find any solutions. Please help me.
Well, the battery driver in the kernel isn't optimized nor completed, so there is a major general problem with it... Currently CoolrunnerII is "playing" with an X1 to try to map everything, but as Elibl discovered, the battery driver isn't correct and should be replaced with the same as x10... But until then, the battery is draining just like this.
Yes, but there might be a solution.
I'm getting tired of all these android issues. I'll just install Windows Mobile 6.5 with the HARET.exe thing. Thanks for the help anyway. What's the best "HARET" android for your opinion?
Twizdroid or sensedroid
Hi there, if you will be trying again someday a NAND ROM, here is a solution that worked for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16808932
I have bought a new battery and now on NAND ROM ZeamDroid v.7.2.1 my battery drain is about 1% per hour in sleep mode. Apps that I use: SetCPU and Battery Monitor Widget.
We don't have the same device but we seem to have the same issue.
Did you ever find out how to fix it ?
A few days ago, after the firmware Milestone #6 there was a problem with the battery in a tablet. Every hour, even in flight mode the battery loses about 4-5% charge.
If the tablet charge and leave overnight in the mode of flight, in the morning, it would be only about 60% of the charge.
I tried flashing the different firmware, even Android 2.2, deleted file batterystats.bin, nothing helps.
If the tablet actively use all in order, as before, but no-load consumption charge has increased.
Another couple of days ago and everything was fine. I'm afraid if I buy a new battery will not solve the problem and only in vain spend money.
Tell me can have the solution.
P.S. Sorry for my English.
Hi,
I got my (used) note 1 about a year and a half ago. I've installed alliance rom from the get go and experienced some battery drain. At first I thought maybe it's the battery, so I got a new one. This also didn't help but as the drain wasn't significant (I wasn't even 100% sure it really was a problam), I just continued using the device. After about a year the drain got worse (wasn't a battery issue, as I checked with an almost un-used battery). I figured changing a rom might help, so I moved to CM11, after installing an official version and re-rooting the phone. It made no difference, but I continued using the phone anyway. The battery drain got worse and today it drained 80% in 7 hours with almost no use (talk for about 5 min. and maybe 30 min. screen time with wi-fi on but no GPS). Also, the phone started heating a lot (it got to a point where it was uncomfortable touching the top of the screen due to heat. But it didn't shut down). Then the phone started rebooting itself or just freezing until I had to do a hard reset about once a day. I think it's only when it's in use but can't be sure. another issue is that when I try to take more than 2-3 pictures with flash on, the phone reboots (flash off - no problem). The heating was solved by underclocking the device, but the other issues persist.
I thought about changing ROMs again, but as it didn't help last time, I decided to ask for advice here first.
Any thoughts?
Taking pictures on low battery or bad battery with flash can cause the phone to power off. It could be either.
Install wake lock detector from the app store and check what's draining your battery.. Then either paste a screen shot to get more help.
Thanks, I'll do that.
But just to clarify, the phone shuts down (abruptly) when using flash event if the battery is charged. Also, there's no such issue when using the led as a flashlight.
OK, the drain in the last few days was due to a game I installed and forgot to greenify, so let's put the battery drain aside for the meanwhile.
Question is, what can cause rebooting?
