I've been online searching for anything related to XZ1c's weird vibration and found some older post from XDA, Reddit and Sony phone forum that mention how the XZ1c does have a quirky vibration that has been noted by various other owners, but I couldn't find anyone uploading a video to show what they mean by that.
Here is my XZ1c's vibration, using the built in engineering (*#*#7378423#*#*) test section: https://streamable.com/k4dxr
3000 (ms?) was the default value for the vibration test.
This isn't the quirky vibration that people are mention right?
I have the same "issue".
I own both XZ Premium and XZ1C (since 2 days), and the vibration is way too strong on everything...
XZP have nice low vibrations on navigation buttons and stuff.
But it seems there is no way to reduce it.

Coming from HTC Desire Hd I find the vibration quite weak and I've missed quite a few calls and as for sms it is so short I almost never feel it. Any similar experiences? Is there any possibility my unit is defected?
this is also my biggest problem with the note. hopefully with a case, some thickness will be achieved and I will feel the vibrations.
I come from a HTC Touch Pro (Windows Mobile) and the vibration is really a lot weaker then the vibrate from my Touch Pro and also a lot shorter for most of the alarms.
As i believe the vibration intensity can not be changed as this is hardware. Maybe we can make the vibration longer somehow?
Best would be to set the vibration length etc. for every single alarm event?
I miss so many settings from my windows mobile device in android.
Try:Settings>Sound>Viberation intensity

yes. thanks but i already found that setting and everything is on the highest setting for me but it is still a lot weaker then Touch Pro.
But i think i can live with this.
Also it seems the Google Mail App (not the normal E-Mail App ) does not support vibration at all?
Hi, ive done an extensive search on here and via google but cant find the solution to my query. hopefully someone can help:
My Z1 sounds rough now and again when the vibrate motor is on. Im looking to reduce the intensity of the 3 onscreen android buttons. i know i can turn it off all together but i think reducing it would help. ive search to see if i can locate the "code" that defines this but ive had no luck. can someone help?

I have the exact same problem but thought it was just me!
I've noticed its occurs more with lower intensity vibrations more (if I change the intensity slider for the keyboard it sounds rough more often on lower vibrations). So maybe lowering it might not be the answer and we might have to do the opposite?
Hi I just recently bought SP (C5303), unlocked BL, rooted, installed CM 11 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2599650 and the phone is great, but I've found some annoying bugs (may be rom issues).
Most important is, that the volume is veeeery low, especially when I'm in noisy places the in-call volume is just not enough even thou I have volume on max. I've found many reports to this problem, but no working solution this (http://www.droidviews.com/get-higher-volume-on-sony-xperia-z-zl-t-sp-v/ doesn't seem to do the trick).
Another thing is, when I'm using head set, listening to music and somebody calls me I can't pick it up. Button is working, but it seems to have focus not on dialer, but rather on player widget.
Does anybody else have these issues? Are there any solutions I missed?
Hi, anyone out there experiencing weak vibration on z3 compact. Is there anyway that we can increase vibration intensity on this phone, i cant even feel it vibrate in my jeans.
When walking around with it in your pocket I don't think you could feel it in your pants easily. The vibration on the phone, even when maxed out is pretty weak.
I think it's just a hardware design that had to suffer due to the compact design.
I agree that the vibration is fairly subtle, but part of me likes this. Though I do miss texts more frequently than with my previous phone (HTC One Mini), it also is far less annoying when it's sitting on a table. The One Mini would be too disturbing in this situation, while the Z3C is quiet - especially useful in a meeting or even at home when your significant other is trying to sleep.
If you are missing notifications, try modifying the vibration length/pattern to something more noticeable. This works well in messaging apps like Textra.
Thank you guys for you reply, appreciate.
Sent from my z3 Compact.
You're right, i do miss alot notifications, such as whatsapp, wechat, etc. Do u hav any recommend apps to increase length and intensity of vibration without root.

My Vibration Motor is crackling a lot. I Used haptic feedback and i can hear the static like sound while i press.
And during calls, its horrible.
I used Diagnostics and ran the Vibration test, The vibration seems perfect without any issue during that.
Is this A Lollipop only issue or Just mine?
Any other users experiencing this?
Please help me...
I have the same problem too on my Z1, but this Problem appears also bevore the Lollipop Update. In my oppinion this is a general mecanical problem with the viraton Motor in the Z1. I trink there is less we can do about this except that sending it back for repair or perhapps getting a New one with the same fault...

Also happening to me since few days. I know that it happened to users before and seems to be a mechanical issue but it appears in my phone after lollipop update too. And the crackling sound appears only at very low sudden vibrations.

This is true, i've been experiencing this problem since KitKat. It's a hardware problem and there is nothing software can do to fix this. Luckily, mine has been working better again after last week. More users reported it got better after several months, guess i'm one of those users.
Well, I just found out this issue 2 weeks ago. I had turn on "Vibrate when touch" option in Settings > Sound > Other Sound. When I touch the navigation button (back, home, recent apps) the vibration turn strong and produce some crack sound. When social apps notification comes over, the vibrate turn strong some of the time and the crack sound can be heard.
Do you guys send back Sony for repair about this issue?
I had this, as have others. Get the vibration motor changed at a service centre
