Root Essential Phone with Magisk - Magisk

I want to root my Essential Phone PH1 with magisk, but I only have a boot image for Nougat and not for Oreo. Does anybody know where I can get an image for Oreo 8.1.0?
Buildnumber: OPM1.180104.166

I would guess that the device forum is the place to find this kind of info...

PRA-LX1 Root with official Oreo 8.0.0?

Hey there,
Finally my Phone gave me a notification for downloading Oreo 8.0.0 and I was wondering if it works the easy way to root it?
My Phone is running on EMUI 5 Android 7.0 build B212 with TWRP and Magisk 16.0 Root.
I Thought about this way to get the Official Oreo Rom rooted :
- Get back to Stock Recovery
- Update to Oreo 8.0.0
- unlock bootloader again if it Relocks
- flash TWRP for Oreo
- flash Magisk via TWRP to gain root on Oreo
Do you guys think that this will work?
Thanks for any suggestion
Hi,
Yeah it should be fine with those steps.
And if you encounter any weird behavior, perform a factory reset using original Recovery.

S9+ g965f pie g965fxxu2zrka dumps

Like the thread title says here are the dumps of G965FXXU2ZRKA. they are completly untouched and only for devs because when you are a normal user and you flash it in twrp without any change you will have a nice prenormal rmm state and then you can wait 7 days (i know that because i was locked but i have my methods for bypass it)
the dumps are completly clean so nothing got changed or debloted etc. every one can use it but dont forget the credits when you use it....
if you are an unrooted user but you want pie you can have it. you need only to be on BRJ6 Firmware and sideload the update.zip and install it from stock recovery.
When new otas comes out i will update the thread.
Note that the dumps are only for G965F (EXYNOS). So dont ask for S9 G960F one or Snapdragon one....

Solution ndr90m test keys

I have a nrd90m firmware test as a result of a problem. I downloaded a full ota package as a solution from the firmware finder.
I want to ask if I install this firmware I lose all the data or not?
Another question if I wanted to install a custom rom instead, which would be the most suitable between openkirin or lineageos? Currently I have emui 5.
I have bootloader unlocked, root and twrp

Sprint Z3 Play 9.0 OTA update sent to phone 7/7/19

Hi, I have the Sprint variant Z3 Play currently rooted on 8.1 with the last update from January and I received the notification that the 9.0 update is available to download and install. I've been reading on how I can install this update but from what I understand, I have to update/re-install magisk using the patched boot IMG from the stock 9.0 IMG. The OTA is labeled PCW29.85-36 however all the stock firmwares I've been able to locate are labeled PPW29.xx. Can I extract the boot IMG from this firmware to patch or does it have to be the exact PCW firmware. And is there an alternative such as unrooting the device, reflashing the latest Current Sprint 8.1 Oreo firmware, taking it back to stock while keeping the bootloader unlocked, and then taking the OTA and re-root? My only reason for the root was to run Viper4Android and would like to keep this setup. I've also read on methods using LMSA but instructions on a rooted device are a little vague to me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!!
Looks like the up-to-date bootloader is not letting the custom recovery to pass by, a custom odin might become handy?
There are a few forms on the SM-G935T on how to root, it may take time but has a success rate.
Those recovery are not for ur specific model they r for those with g935f or g935fd.
T mobile has locked bootloader so essentially it is unrootable as international versions like the exynos plus the custom bootloader have a big hit on performance and battery so it is not to try root or recovery (if u r lucky and have an older bootloader) .
