Any ideas how to revert back to stock kernel do we have a flashable zip file TIA
If you didn’t make a backup then you need to flash your ROM again.
Dirty flash your existing rom
if you want to flash to miui rom again, you need to flash lazyflasher

how do I flash a new Booting.img though CWM... what I did was I made a backup of my custom rom then swapped the booting.img with new booting.img from withing my backup then flashed it but CWM said MD5 mismatch. Also tried flashing new booting.img in CMW advance options with no luck... how do I flash this guys?
Swapping files inside backup won't work at all. You need to create a custom update.zip with the boot.img you want to flash.
For what for you want to flash boot.img anyways? OC Kernel, stock rom, or something else?
oh right I see, so how do I create an update.zip for a custom kernal?
I think you can use the this update.zip which is originally a OC Kernel, and simply delete the one there, and insert your boot.img. I do not guarantee that this will work. Make a backup!

hello guys
I have the c6602, and running 4.4.4
I've just unlocked the bootloader and rooted my XZ
I want to install one of the new lollipop ROM's so i need a kernel that has a recovery mod to flash the ROM
the one i found is Doomlord's kernel [.230], but as i know [.230] doesn't work with 4.4.4, if it's just used to get the recovery into the device and be able to flash a ROM, what would be the next step after installing the ROM?
should flash a newer kernel? or it is automatically installed [integrated] in the ROM's zip file?
thnx
The new kernel is integrated in the zip file and will replace the current one when you flash the rom. You will also get the recovery that comes with it.
I recently started flashing custom roms. The most common trouble that comes is how to get back to stock rom. Anyone please give a detailed procedure how to get back to stock rom from flashing stock recovery to flashing stock rom...

1.Download the stock rom from letv forum
2.If you r on Codeworkx TWRP, install Chinese TWRP by ycjeson
3.Then install the stock zip file (19s). First time you may get error, flash again the same file.
4.It asks whether to install stock rom, give yes.
5.Now your phone will be with stock rom and recovery. with bootloader locked.
If this helped ..hit thanks

Stock Rom :

rename the downloaded stock rom to update.zip and then place it in the root directory of internal storage
flash stock recovery and click the update option
you'll get an error but try again
That's it!
Better take a twrp back up soon after you flash the stock rom just in case.
All roms can be flashed bz TWRP 3 , but when i flash stock rom (.zip or backup, yes i edit updaterscript) it ends on splash screen, but flash fas susscesfull.. WHat sould i do? i have X527, Thanks
Hi! Currently running LOS 14.1 with Boeffla kernel, but I need to flash the stock one. Any ideas where to can find it?
Just flash rom.zip again on top of the current installation.
Or extract the boot.img from rom.zip, put it in a flashable zip and install it via twrp.
Will this overwrite only the system files? (I don't want to set up the phone from start... )
No if you just flash it on top of the current system, without any wipes or resets, all settings and datas should be still there.
Oh thanks! that's great! Can you do the same to try another ROM?
Switching from one rom to another with a so called dirty flash?
I would say: its not only not recommended :good:
You can try a dirty flash with a version update of the same rom, but all other would most likely end in problems. And latest than you will have do to a clean flash anyways. I would suggest you read the thread of your preferred rom(s) in advance and carefully (at least the last several pages) and than decide what and how you will flash.
