Hi! I upgraded my device from VTRL29-C432B365 to B369.
The device works perfectly and I think this is the best Oreo ROM.
But I have a hugh battery drain. The battery % drops just looking at it, and I need to charge 2 to 3 times a day (before 1).
Tried factory reset. Felt I worked for 1 hour. Then same problem.
Somebody have same issue?
I noticed the screen kept waking up when the phone was in my shirt pocket.
I turned off wake up device on pick-up.
Battery life is excellent.
I have the same problem after updating
1-try to find yout what process kills the battery
2-make bakcup and factory reset

I have found that my battery bar does not go above 8/10 blocks, no matter how long you charge it for. However, upon soft resetting, the battery level goes to 10/10, despite the fact that before the soft reset it read 8/10 bars. This is extremely annoying, and I am worried that it may be ruining my battery - as it is being charged wven when it is in fact full. Has anyone else had similar problems/have a solution?
Thanks
What ROM are you using? It may just be that the battery level is wrong on the software, as this can sometimes happen, try draining it completely and recharging it to full
I have tried draining and recharging on several ocassions - with no avail. I am using the latest SwiftBL rom.
Thanks!
Same problem, I have replace new battery
I got same problem... I go to service center and I have replace new battery.
Problem solve.
i bought my galaxy note 3 days back. except for battery issue , everything else is fine.
problem - charging drops below 85% from 100% immediately after unplugging. this happened yesterday and also today....i charged the phone while sleeping ( 1 am to 8 am ).....charging dropped from 79% to 100% imediately after unplugging....
i could use some advice about correct charging methods - can i charge the phone when battery is 50% drained or should i wait for the battery to completely drain??
with lithium based batteries you definitely do not need to completely drain the battery before you recharge it.
As I understand it there are two possible explanations here:
1) Your battery is broken. If nothing in 2) helps, get a replacement battery.
2) Your battery stats have gotten screwed up somehow.
Depending on what version of android you're on this can be fixed by either:
a) doing nothing for a few days and seeing if the stats start behaving normally. I would recommend you start with this.
b) wiping your battery stats. There are a bunch of apps that can do this, or you can do it from CWM.
If you do wipe your battery stats, your phone will probably report weird battery usage for a couple of days. See a).
Hope this helps.
Hi everybody,
Since few days my battery has a weird behavour: the percentuage falls instantly of 20% 30%, after few second it comes back at normal value, it can provoke a shutdown of the phone . In your opinion this is an ics bug or is it the battery?
I've had a similar issue. oddly sometimes when i restart the phone, the date is reset, and the battery % had been put below 0% i see on the battery status page the graph has been reset. and there is a red line right down the left side of the graph.
the fact that everything seemed reset, when normally a restart does not reset the battery status, is pretty odd. almost like the cmos battery on a pc is pulled, and the bios needs resetting.
but aye, my batteries have not dropped % at odd times. but randomly, if i was to manually restart, there is a chance my battery status gets reset. i know this is a different issues. but i believe they may be related. phone otherwise seems to work fine. if the phone is on from 100% right down to 6% i've not had a problem with regular running of the phone.

currently testing it, only became available from november, my initial tests gauged it at 1740mAh or so, did a few tests, still running my long term standby test to see how long on minimum use it can last.
but under medium to heavy use, i got a 10 or so hours on it. you can see my current report on it on the replacement battery thread. but so far, this battery has been pretty good.
the odd battery issue i've experienced has been with both batteries, so i dont believe there is anything wrong with the Battpit battery. but im still testing it ^.^
Have a peculiar problem, The phone drains off faster than usual for last few days. In couple of instances it showed 40% battery and suddenly the phone got switched off. When i switch on it showed 0% battery and again got switched off. When i put on charger it was back to 40%.
Also full charged battery drained to 25% in 5 hours, earlier it used to come atleast a day. Battery also looking a bit fatty in its surface. Any pointers if this is the battery problem or any calibration issues? I use the stock kernel - 2.3.6 and this is there since few months. The problem started only few days back.
This happened to me too and it turned out it's a battery problem.
When I changed my battery, everything went back to normal.
If you know somebody who owns a similar battery, you can test it on your phone.
Hi,
I got my (used) note 1 about a year and a half ago. I've installed alliance rom from the get go and experienced some battery drain. At first I thought maybe it's the battery, so I got a new one. This also didn't help but as the drain wasn't significant (I wasn't even 100% sure it really was a problam), I just continued using the device. After about a year the drain got worse (wasn't a battery issue, as I checked with an almost un-used battery). I figured changing a rom might help, so I moved to CM11, after installing an official version and re-rooting the phone. It made no difference, but I continued using the phone anyway. The battery drain got worse and today it drained 80% in 7 hours with almost no use (talk for about 5 min. and maybe 30 min. screen time with wi-fi on but no GPS). Also, the phone started heating a lot (it got to a point where it was uncomfortable touching the top of the screen due to heat. But it didn't shut down). Then the phone started rebooting itself or just freezing until I had to do a hard reset about once a day. I think it's only when it's in use but can't be sure. another issue is that when I try to take more than 2-3 pictures with flash on, the phone reboots (flash off - no problem). The heating was solved by underclocking the device, but the other issues persist.
I thought about changing ROMs again, but as it didn't help last time, I decided to ask for advice here first.
Any thoughts?
Taking pictures on low battery or bad battery with flash can cause the phone to power off. It could be either.
Install wake lock detector from the app store and check what's draining your battery.. Then either paste a screen shot to get more help.
Thanks, I'll do that.
But just to clarify, the phone shuts down (abruptly) when using flash event if the battery is charged. Also, there's no such issue when using the led as a flashlight.
OK, the drain in the last few days was due to a game I installed and forgot to greenify, so let's put the battery drain aside for the meanwhile.
Question is, what can cause rebooting?
