Bootloader unlock?

Since we have root, we now need a bootloader unlock. Does anyone know if there is a bootloader unlock coming? I hear that with the domestic carrier versions of this phone, you cannot even access fastboot. Is a bootloader unlock even possible?

I'm looking for a bump and everyone wants unlock. tf.

Of course everyone wants unlock! LG's UI is pretty terrible and battery gobbling.

I didn't actually. I had an HTC One M8 and the software was amazing.

Because I don't understand what that means. I'm assuming you mean a stock kdz or tot (which is in the works by the way)

I don't see the point in having a question section in this forum when people are just going to tell you to go research it.
By the way, I did and I couldn't find anything. So, I thought I'd ask if anyone knew anything about it.

you never once asked. a bump'd recovery is a recovery that you can just flash without doing any extra stuff. can flash to and from stock to twrp vice versa with the press of a button.

Miflash dev Rom

Hi guys ! I want to know if it's possible to flash chinese dev rom 6.5.7 from 7.2.4 global using miflash 64 bits with locked bootloader. I also want to know if we need dev rom to unlock bootloader or if it's possible with global rom? Many thx.

bootloader unlock process is pure CRAP!!

I had hopes for this POS phone but may dump it on Swappa. Locked bootloader! Might as well bought a Samsung!!
I got permission to unlock, bound phone via China server. Been 5 days, " unlock" button on unlock tool still is greyed out! Loaded all provided drivers etc. Should have stayed with my Nexus 6p however crappy battery life. Anyone have any suggestions on the bootloader? Thanks in advance

Tried and no go. Did you use VPN on computer as well when using unlock tool?

No. Unlock button stays grey when device isnt detected.

Is this possibly a Miui 9 issue because I've tried just about every driver available?this is really annoying

Woohoo the things we do for root! Finally after 2 days of failing to unlock, I finally decided to reinstall Windows in boot camp. Worked like a charm. All rooted and working gcam mod. Thanks for your help. Not sure why had problems with the drivers but oh well.

Yes, because after the first try, there was a message saying to wait 72 hours and unlock again.

Hi, i see all threads have been closed concerning the BL unlock, i really just need root, any method out there that can still be able to unlock the BL unofficially?
Even willing to pay if it has to go that far, and im sure many users here will agree..

Yes, but your root and recovery will be gone and you'll have to redo the root again. Unless you have Orangefox recovery well installed which has the ability to survive OTAs
