Nillkin TPU Case Review[i9023]

I was going to get the mercury case, but from pictures it was way too thick for my liking so I decided to get this case. The case is titled to be silicone, but it doesn't look like silicone from the pictures so I emailed them and they said it was silicone material so I went for it. I received the case and it turns out it was a TPU case. This case feels REALLY thin for a TPU case so it doesn't add much bulk to the phone. This case is tailored to fit the i9023 so ALL cutouts are perfect and fit is perfect as well. Overall, if your looking for a good TPU case which doesn't add much bulk to it I would recommend this. I don't have a mercury TPU case to compare it to, but I'm really happy with how this turned out. The only con that I would have for this case is that the volume rocker buttons were a bit tight so it would be easily be pressed, but if you stretch the case a little it will fix that issue.

I got this case from Here. It took exactly 2 weeks to arrive and customer service is spot on.

Nice. Would have gotten it if there wasn't a hard nilkin case.

I got a tpu case like this on amazon for 2 bucks. And its got a nice diamond design.

Mate 8 Cases

Not many cases are out yet and I guess that most of us will have to wait anther month or two before we will be able to get this device but for now, what cases do you hope that will be released for this device?
One case that I think is nice is the Huawei Mate 8 Case, KKtick® Ultra-thin Nature TPU Slim Flexible Soft Cover

Some vendors will start bringing out cases around the time of the international launch. If you look at Chinese reviews, you see that cases are included with the Chinese versions.

Mine come with case.
Gold phone + gold case (not nice color...)

Mate cases already available on Amazon,but these brands are not really famous.

There is one made by Huawei. Got it online here though.

Received today.
Perfect fit, good grip, but very slim, not very protective.
Anyway, I like and use it.

have the same, received it together with my phone i like it as well, actual phone color shines through, very tight fit and indeed has a good grip on it.

Looks simple but nice as well

I wonder if there is a chance to get some cases from some major producers out there ... At the moment it's a poor choice especially in that "armoured" ones.

For those of you who are trying to get the most protection out of a case, Love Mei has a case for this device.

I got a smart window case with the 128gb I bought, but only used it one day. Now am using an ultra thin tpu transparent case I bought from Aliexpress. I bought another from Amazon that was a little thicker, but prefer the one from Aliexpress. I am not big on using cases. A clear screen protector was already pre-installed, but looking for a full coverage tempered glass. I ordered one from Aliexpress, but still hasn't delivered.

The transparent clear case that a lot of sellers sell is not enough. It's too loose and the lip over the screen isn't enough. I dropped mine IN THE CASE and still put two dents in the bottom of the phone by the speaker. I would recommend something else. I bought this one as well and it seems to be good.

spigen hard cases are awesome, although i switched to a soft TPU case for my mate 8 now, since my last spigen hard case left some aberrations / scratches on the sides of my previous Nexus 5 after years of taking it off and putting it back on...

Guys there are allot of cases in China, you should check out AliExpress (Chinese Amazon). They ship worldwide and it's cheap.

amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LEQTIOM/ref=pe_1909131_77697121_tnp_email_TE_AMZLdp_2 I received this case a few days ago, it has the all important raised ring around the camera, feels pretty durable without adding much bulk, certainly better than the 99p eBay cases I've bought for phone's in the past. It fits very tightly too which I'm happy with but could prove a bit annoying if you're planning to be removing it a lot to use Moto mods. It also has a cutout where the pins are for the Moto mods although I'm not sure what the point in this is seeing as they don't fit on top of it, all in all though I'm very happy with it, I got it in gold to match the metal sides and I don't think it looks too tacky either.

The bump was little big than the normal. Does the case helps to protect the bump??

To add to this, I've got a IVSO slim hard shell case (which I think is the same as the Nillken) that fits very well, is nice and grippy and has a raised lip to protect the camera

Back side is a slide. You can remove and attach mods. I have style mod that fits with bumper.

Looks nice but unless I'm wrong that doesn't protect the camera at all.

Hi everyone!
The standard original Xiaomi TPU case, which was delivered with the phone satisfied my needs.
Now I wanted to buy another one of these, just to have a new shiny one my old looks to used up.
I remembered I bought a spare one for my Mi 6. Now I want to order a spare one for my Mi 8. Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere to buy.
Does someone know where I can order one of these?

Here is a decent TPU on Amazon, it's not the same one. But nonetheless, its good quality, and they have color options.

I am searching for the original tpu case, too.

It feels thicker all over and it seems to be a bit too bulky on the edges to use with a NILLKIN CP+MAX 3D Tempered Glass. It lifted one edge of my screen protector.
Second problem is that it's not exactly the same height as the screen protector. It doesn't feel good using gestures.

Nice case, but still a lot thicker than the TPU case that came with my Mi 8. Fits nice around the Nillkin CP+MAX, but is still a bit higher. After 3 days of use my thumb could't take it anymore.
All original Xiaomi cases I found on Aliexpress weren't the tpu case delivered with the Mi 8. These are all so called "Liquid Silicone" cases that look like some kind of hard cover, or at least harder than TPU, with some kind of padding glued to the inside.
Any other suggestions for a case as thin as possible, just like the original tpu case?

The Nilkin clear case is nice. It's not the same. It has ridges down the side for grip and a few other details. It is a bit it thinner and fits more snugly. I prefer it and it's pretty cheap on AliExpress

The cheap Kisscase from Aliexpress fits nice around my tempered glass.
It is a bit thicker and there is a seam round the case that you can feel.
For the price, its quite good.

The Samsung silver case is from my pre order credit and came from Samsung.com.
My initial response, you kinda get what you pay for.
My favorite among all them is the UAG case and that is what I am using as my daily case.
I chose this because it was smaller than any of the other cases which gave what I consider 'great' protection both on the sides and front and back.
The Ringke comes in second as the best value.
The Poetic is just too large, you will see in the photos it is the largest of them all, but it is the only one that comes with a screen protector which was kinda nice.
The Armadillotek is a great option, but since the phone is already so large in my hand - the UAG was a tad smaller and felt more comfortable.
The Samsung case lacks the raised edges I would like to see in drop protection on the front.
The Anemat also lacked raised edges for safety.
Lined them up on edge to show heigh of all units, the Poetic and Armidillo are the tallest.
Side grips are nice, the phone is large and anything to keep in settled in my hand was a bonus.
I guess for a 1300 phone I had to bite the bullet and get a 50 dollar case, vs the 10 and 20 dollar options.
I did like the ArmidilloTek for the few days I used it, but the UAG just ended up being more comfortable for me personally.
Not sure this will help anyone, but it does, I hope I saved you having to return stuff back to Amazon
I plan to put on the gel UV glass screen protector sometime next week, I just left the stock protector on for the time being.
Love the phone though and the promo with TMO really made it a no brainer.

I also settled for the UAG Monarch, it's a premium but it's better than the imitators.

I choose ArmadilloTek because of the front cover.
I like the paint on Monarch tho

I'm currently switching between UAG Monarch (same color as OP) and Samsung's Black Leather Cover, and I'm glad about my choices. Sometimes if I want that my S21U should feel more bulky I go with UAG, other time if I want to have more elegant and slick cover I'm using the leather one.

too pricy here in TX

I just ordered a UAG Monarch tonight as I've just gotten my phone today. Verizon wants $70,so I got it directly from UAG for under $35. Tried it and it feels really good in the hand. Bought the S21U with a techarmor case and there is barely any protection for rear camera. Pelican also feels really good in the hand but also no real camera protection
