Huawei P10 - ROOT?

Hello,
is some way to root huawei p10?

I've been looking too. Nothing yet.

I also would like to root my P10.
Reason: I need the "4G only mode" with the "advanced signal status app". It's a great feature if you on areas with a weak (but most times working) LTE (4G) signal and a strong but not really working Edge (GSM) signal. This issue we have often in germany using Telefonica / O2 offside from citys.

the p10 seems to have the same chipset as the mate9. maybe someone is brave enough to test the root method from mate9 at the p10. expecting my p10 will be delivered the next few days. i am also keen on having a root method.

I unlocked my bootloader and tried to flash twrp 3.0.2.2 for mate 9, without any success... Maybe we need an modified twrp version

Is the twrp 3.0.2-2 for Nougat Roms or for marshmallow Roms? I heard about twrp 3.1.0 for Nougat Roms. If there is a twrp 3.1.0 for mate 9 you could try that one. Still did not receive my p10. Cant try by myself.

Just saw at mate 9 thread there is a twrp 3.0.3 for Nougat Roms. P10 is running on Nougat. @thesinistahl would you mind trying?

Yes sure, I would try it ASAP. Just followed stupid the root thread of the mate 9 without checking the version. Can u send me the link? Ur name looks German, fyi: I got the t-mobile Germany version of the phone.

how did you enter the fastboot mode? i bot my p10 today, received the unlock code, enabled USB debugging and OEM unlock, but cant enter fastboot. give me an advice please.

I went to the unlock bootloader page, keyed in all the information correctly but got "SN and IMEI mismatched" error. Tried this several times using the IMEI 1 and MEID but no luck. anyone experiencing the same problem?

at the mate9 thread i read about that someone received the unlock code via hi care APP on the phone by signing in.

The Page doesn't Work with Chrome, i also had to use Edge to retrieve my unlock code.
Btw: i used ADB to reboot into Fastboot Mode

I tried to flash twrp 3.0.2-2 for mate9, but it didn't worked. Still got that stock emui-recovery.
Any ideas?

Tried it in Firefox, too. But it doesn't work.
When I try to register, I can't choose Germany as country because it's missing like other major countries... US and UK are also missing.

in my case i used Hong Kong and it worked with firefox

in huafans club, many users test flash by androbench 5.
but result are not same .sequential read , best is 700+ ,second is 500-600 ,the worst is only about 250.
it seems that not all P10 use ufs2.1
does this issue happen in other country?

install Terminal Emulator，input：
ls /proc/fs/*
/proc/fs/f2fs begin with "sd", means UFS, usually 500+/700+MB/s
/proc/fs/f2fs begin with "mmcblk", means eMMC , usually 250MB/s

even 800MB/s model uses lpddr3

i'm wondering if this issue will happen in other country(VTR-L09 VTR-L29 .etc)
from now on , only 2 test replies ,all seem to be UFS
where , it's too early to say this issue will not happen on other models

My Results, VKY-L09C02 (VodafoneDE branded):
Edit: AIDA64 reports LPDDR4 and Terminal Emulator reports LPDDR3.
Edit2: RAM-Test shows 7600MB/s, so it's LPDDR3.

I have a unbranded german one with UFS 2.1 and LPDDR3 :/

VTR-L29 C432 (Mystic Silver)
DDR3 (seems to be globally) (check LE comment)
But good flash

It seems that lddr3 may be default value if nothing else is found some unverified info here.
Thus we need to check the sys folder for anything more specific and I don't have root on this device.
Component name: SKhynix H9HKNNNCUUMU
I cannot find any info on SKhynix site( lddr3/lddr4)

Hey,
I just unlocked my Mi8 but I cannot find any beta globa *.tgz file for fastboot flash. It's not available on official xiaomi site.
Maybe someone have hidden link to it?

I have read the post. Some said they can unlock the phone bootloader through Taobao.
Then TWRP and flash the rom

Anyone tried getting the files. I can't seem to download them. Hoping someone gets them before they disappear

Just let us get the metode for building a custom ROM, then we find someone that build a safe and clean ROM with the driver package and some features like, face unlock (maybe from 6t) and the camera software.

Somewhere like mega. Just incase it is needed.

Most have locked bootloaders with no option to unlock, so this is only good for those that can....

Impossible (even states on funky Huawei), that if device is frp locked then your out of luck (meaning opinion in developer options is greyed out).
But is great if you have a Chinese varient......:good:

I can just enable OEM unlocking in dev settings ? "Allow the bootloader to be unlocked" it says.

OK seems like only the chinese version can bee boot unlocked? mine is greyed out too, sure hope that here comes an softwareupdate thats enabled it.
Otherwise somebody talking about payment for boot unlock? if we get that, WHO is going to Cook a ROM for us? and what request do we have.

We wouldn't really need them to. The Device is project treble, which means flash a system image and job is done. Everything else should pretty much work. Maybe issues with Kirin devices tho.

Are there Bootloader unlocking services in China?

Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot.

guys, I recently wanted to switch from global European firmware to Chinese, following the steps of a YouTube video, and when the phone was about to start it was crashed and it didn't start.

Is this true? I'm on gsi havoc right now and my device is rm3. I haven't test cn rom even after flashing cn rom, I flash havoc right after cn rom and does not know how cn rom perform.
