Would all the models work on ATT here on USA ?
I stay on Kali

since it supports bands 2&4 (what my phone connects to lte with) you should be ok . download the lte discovery app and see what band your currently using

Only getting edge speed on T mobile (1900 mhz network area)

I'm only getting EDGE connection /speeds from t-mobile. However according to a press release a couple months back, my area was supported (goleta/Santa Barbara area) for HSPA+). How can I enable this network or why am I only getting edge? I am using a Criskelo rom.
Correct me if I am wrong but international note can ONLY be used at edge with US T-Mobile. The note doesn't have the radios for the Baseband of T-Mobile frequencies. As I have read in the forums in the past only at at&t can connect the note for 3g, not 100% sure for the last.

if you are on GSM network .. switch to WCDMA only network in your network settings
3G/4G of T-Mobile USA uses a relatively rare frequency 1700/2100 UMTS Band IV (aka AWS). The Note can't support it. You choice is either stick at the EDGE speed or switch to AT&T(or its MVNO).
TMOUS is starting to refarm their 3G/4G frequency to which the Note will support. But I think it might takes years to get the work done.

tmous is rolling out 1900 frequencies so it will be able to get 3g and possibly 4g depending on where you are... currently there are members on here from the northwest that have confirmed this working...
as for the question at hand i would contact tmo and ask if the towers are running and where in your area to make sure... the auto gsm/wcdma mode should work fine because if you leave the area where there is 1900 and are on wcdma only you will get no svc...
Well here's the press release: newsroom.t-mobile.com/articles/new-4g-markets-nov2011
Hmm...I'm a total noob at this stuff and guess I was assuming I was gonna get HSPA+ due to it listing 1900 mhz in Santa Barbara on the Wirelessadvisor website in a zipcode search.
Am I wrong to assume that if the network is 1900 mhz band? Changing the gsm/wcdma didn't do anything. Guess I should contact t-mobile to make sure?

Lost Reception+Data Connection on Rogers Network

Hey guys
I got XZ C6603 today from handtec. I activated brand new LTE simcard at rogers store and set up lte apn.
Soon as I did that data connection rapidly changing from h+ to 3g for a while then drop the data connection and phone reception as well.
Seems like lot of ppl here in Canada having trouble getting LTE connection but I am having hard time getting my phone reception and H+ connection.
I'm not sure either XZ is defect or this phone is simply wont work with Rogers.
Any solutions?? or should I just return the phone back to handtec?
LTE doesn't seem to work with the Z on Rogers.
Go into network settings and network mode and change it to only WCDMA(preferred)/GSM.
3G and HSPA+ work flawlessly so keep it on those instead.
Basically the phone keeps searching for an LTE network but can't connect so it'll keep switching between the network modes.
I'm hoping there's a solution to this soon, because the Z can actually find the Rogers LTE network but can't connect for some reason.
Probably a work around fix that can be done. :good:

Now I have solid reception + HSPA+ Thanks! :good:
Hope we can use LTE soon though

HSPA+ will probably be unpredictable on a regional basis - many North American carriers use UMTS1900 and the 6603 does not support that band for HSPA+ operation.
6603 will not operate on LTE in any band in North America I'm aware of.

You are wrong,
Rogers does support LTE 2600
I would not use a phone on Rogers that can't get 1900Mhz but ... You should be able to use 2600 LTE. Have you entered the LTE APN ?

HSPA+ works fine where I am on my 6603.
People have been able to get LTE on theirs as well, depending on the region.

My LTE worked for an hour the other. I've read the 2600 band is a higher speed band, but it has weaker penetration and more sensitive.
Im beginning to think that you need both 2100 and 2600 bands for LTE to properly work in Canada since Rogers have both deployed simultaneously. Maybe Rogers need to improve their 2600 deployement in order for the XZ to work.

You need band 4 and band 10. Each frequency is used for different reasons (upstream/downstream). Just having 2,600 Mhz won't do anything. It's already been confirmed by multiple users that LTE doesn't work in North America (AT&T, Rogers, etc.)
That's why the C6603 wasn't released in North America.
The leaked C6606 model should support it, as well as the ZL. (http://playstation.com/psm/certified.html)

Then how does the optimus g on rogers use lte 2600? The optimus g 2600 on rogers only have lte band 700/2600 according to rogers website. This is the first carrier phone to use the 2600 network I believe

Because it uses 2,600 Mhz (band 7) for the downlink and 1,700 Mhz (band 4) for the uplink (even though it doesn't list it in the specs).
(Going into the Service Menu on the Optimus G shows off its full band support.)
Without the appropriate uplink AND downlink support, LTE will not work.
Rogers has LTE deployed on bands 4, 7, and 10.
The C6603 supports bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 20.

[Q] No 4G option on Lumia 1320

As the title says I have a Lumia 1320 with a 4g sim which worked fine on my galaxy s4 but on this , when I go into mobile settings it only has the option for 2g or 3g ?
I have flashed the latest UK rom because it came with a Thailand rom on it
Is there a rom I could flash that has the 4g option enabled ?
Are you sure it supports your 4G bands? If you bought it from outside the region (sounds likely) it might not have access to the 4G band(s) that your carrier uses.

So its the hardware ?
I thought if I flashed a Uk rom it would change the radio ?
The phone only physically supports certain radio bands. Re-flashing *might* let you use, say, 1800MHz for LTE (4G) where previously you could only use it for HSDPA (3G), but if your phone doesn't *have* an 1800MHz radio, you're out of luck (and maybe even if it does, depending on how the hardware is configured; i.e. if the radio does the relevant encoding and collision detection and such internally than it will be tied to a specific cellular technology).
Note that I have no idea *what* bands you need... but most mobile operators only have a single LTE band. You should check and see if it's one your phone offers.

Switch to US network?

Been looking at the radio specs on this ( compared to HTC One) and it seems the GSM/UTS and LTE bands/frequency are all the same except for one of the LTE. The 800Mhz uses band 20 while the HTC One uses band 18. The 1800Mhz and 2600Mhz match.
Would this preclude it from working on Sprint?
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Free mobile app
Please see this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/help/verions-p7-t2838058
It shows the different versions of the P7 for use in different countries.
I don't think it will work at all on Sprint, as Sprint is a CDMA network.
Also -- again -- My understanding -- is that the Chinese CDMA (TD-SCDMA) is an entirely and completely different thing (different frequencies, different protocols) than the US Sprint/Verizon CDMA. The P7-L00 would not have 4G at all (and spotty or no 3G) in the US.
For the P7-L10 ("International Version") it would work as follows:
It will work as a basic 2G phone on AT&T or T-Mobile in the US.
It should work on AT&T or T-Mobile 3G in some areas, but since it is only quad band - (No 850MHz band - Not penta band) it may not work in all areas.
4G LTE will not work on AT&T or T-Mobile, or on any provider I know of in the US.
AT&T uses Band 17(700Mhz), Band 5(850Mhz), Band 2(1900Mhz), Band 4(1700/2100Mhz)
T-Mobile uses (apparently) only Band 4(1700/2100Mhz)
The P7-L10 uses LTE: B1/B3/B7/B8/B20
No overlap means no 4G at all.
There is supposed to be a P7-L16 international version that may have different 3G/4G bands, but apparently it has not shipped yet, or at least I do not know where to buy one.
Note, however that it does have WiFi, so as long as you do not mind paying a premium for 4G LTE that will not work at all, you'll have plenty of data connectivity as long as you have WiFi available.
Hope that this helps. This is what I have found in my research, as I would really like to buy one of these phones, but as mentioned, I cannot see paying the price these phones sell for, and then have no 4G at all.
Those in the know, or who have one in the US, please comment/correct.

SM-N920R4 is it compatible to GSM AT&T and T-Mobile US?

Based on the specifications, it has GSM bands used by both, however SM-N920R4 is US Cellular CDMA...

Just from looking at the specs for this specific device it appears that it will work on all of T-Mobile's LTE bands but it is missing LTE band 17 support for AT&T. The 2G and 3G bands will work just fine as they match the specs for the N920T/N920A from both carriers. The only thing I am not certain of at this time is if you will have to have the device unlocked to be used with another carrier. Were you using this device on US Cellular or did you just pick this device up recently and want to use it with AT&T or TMO?
Ok thanks, the deal never went through
