Long story short, got the below phone which has a very faint display. Any ideas if it can be repaired without replacing the display?
I opened the phone disconnected the battery + display cable and left for few minutes and reconnected didn't solve the issue (will be leaving them not connected overnight just in case)

As the back light is built-in the screen, you will have to replace it to hopefully fix it, unless the fault is in the power circuitry on the logic board. Luckily the price for a new screen isn't that expensive, and if you're lucky you can get hold of the correct lcd panel with dci p3 support.

Hi,
After months owning an N1, I managed to sell it today and buy a new one (with a guarantee this time) for a little additional money. The problem was, after some time using it, I noticed there is a small problem with the screen: there is a spot near the bottom left corner which seems to be brighter than the rest of the screen, especially when holding the phone in a certain angle. Kind of like this:

Do you guys know why this could be happening? Anyone has something like it? Is there a way to fix it, or should I send it back to HTC?
Nothing? :-(
Does it have screen protector?
i have a GT-I8190 about two month ago the screen whent suddenly all green, like if only does pixel where working the most weird is that the phone takes about 30 sec to put the screen like that before that is just black. this happen with any kind of boot (normal/recovery/download). at this point i know i must replace the display but before that i heat the screen and take out the glass just to see what happens, i clean all the glue, turn on the phone and the screen was working normal a turn it off and try again about 5 min later and back again to the same green-screen problem today a heat the screen again and work for about two min before the image froze and the green start appearing slowly.
i'm just trying to understand what cause this problem and how often can happen before spending more money on this phone
this is a photo of the problem

I was at a concert and when I left I got dinner and noticed the pen was gone. Don't know how it possibly fell out, I just know it's gone. I wasn't using it. It just fell out apparently. So I call verizon and they tell me they can't get them and I need to go through Amazon. I buy one from cellular max on Amazon, it gets here quickly and seems to work, but seems sketchy. Both days I've had it, it's gotten stuck for a period of time. I noticed the pen has a small china stamp on the non button side... Can anyone confirm that the stock s-pen says or doesn't say china. I think it's a faulty rip off the guy is passing as OEM.
This is my stock pen

Hi
My screen keeps on going white and is not responsive. When I apply pressure to the bottom of lcd on the panel the screen goes on but still not responsive again and when i release pressure the screen goes white again.
I opened up but don't see anything that could cause the issue.
So i got a replacement lcd from Auto Pumpkin but that sill never worked.
They then told me its the android board and that i must purchase another, which I requested to get the quad core board just incase it was not the board - which it was not.
So now im sitting here with a new lcd and quad core but mt screen is still white.
Here is a video: https://youtu.be/-V7eyKXOYLI
I replaced this first:

but that never worked
But I actually think it is this:
Any recommendations? Autopumpkin wants me to send the unit back to dfix but thats too costly and risky
So I dropped this Mi 9 in water and I am getting some interesting problems. When hold the power button connected to power the screen flashes for a millisecond. A shot in the dark but I wonder if anyone could tell me whether that's a mobo or digitiser/amoled problem? I've done a full teardown of it and I can't see any visible water damage on the mobo.
