Double Tap unlock G2

Anybody wanting the double tap wake screen feature. It is cool! Not to use a button.
But will it make a big power lost with this function?
Hoping some dev to port it to AOSP

There's an app called touch control that unlocks with double tap but doesn't lock it. As for battery it doesn't really do much to battery m.

I would love this function as an app. Genius! Would make owning a giant phone easier.

Double tap to wake has been around since the galaxy nexus with touch control. LG probably stole the idea from that dev.

Yes i see this first on nokia n9

What the G2 has is a limited version of touch control by bponury, an app that is pure awesome.

I just started using the touch control app, good for waking up the phone, I would like to have the gesture, where you swipe up from the bottom of the screen, where it wakes up and unlocks like the BB Z10

Fingerprint

Is there anyway that we can tweak the fingerprint in recognize just by tap? Not by swipe?
Its hard to unlock with one hand when using fingerprint.

No. It works just fine for 5s with 1 hand. No problem for me

well i tried both fingerprint scanner
the s5 one was much better and it can detect your fingerprint a little faster
but the 5s one is easier to use because you dont need to swipe your finger only that (well i placed my finger bad when i was setting the touch id up )

[Q] Asus Zenfone 4 power issue?

So, its sudden.
My zenfone is behaving normally, but suddenly its dead, i can`t power on/charge, and anything

i'm using zenfone 4 now too, how to enable application icon badge for new message/chat for downloaded application such as whatsapp,line, etc ?

Try to Change Battery, Charger USB.
If still it is in that condition, change your phone Best Way

Hard press or light tap home button

Hi guys,
I'd like to know whether you need to hard press the home/fingerprint button to go to home screen (while unlocked) or you can do it by a light tap.. coming from Xiaomi Mi5 and so used to this feature it would be a deal breaker for me if I had to hard press the button every time

Light touch is fine. It's a touch button and not mechanical

Btw by 'it's a touch button' it means that even when unlocking the phone it's light touched and not pressed?

Yes that's right. Just touch to unlock without PIN etc, once finger print has been set up. The first time after phone has been restarted it asks for PIN, but normally a simple touch is all you require

Yep I know the procedure and all, but on my Mi 5 you need to press the button to unlock and read the fingerprint. There is a sysfs trick to make it read with a light touch but the button is mechanical by default.
Thanks a lot mate, I'm not even bothered by the fact that the Nokia 8 is not (yet) unlockable so I'm probably getting it. I found a deal of around 300 EUR for a new device so it's a great price for a SD 835 phone.

Fingerprint sensor doesn't work properly

Hey guys,
I have a slight problem. I registered my fingers to unlock my phone and sometimes someone else can unlock my phone using their fingerprints.
I guess that's not how this should work. Has someone experienced the same behaviour? I hope they can fix this with an upcoming update.

Did you try multiple people or just one person?

Just with one person but I can also unlock my phone using the fingers in haven't registered

Weird... I tried but only registered fingers arw working.... Did you try to delete all registered fingers and add again? Or factory reset and try again?
